  1. Physical contact information for gaming industry companies
  2.
  3. The following is a list of contact information for individuals wanting to send PHYSICAL LETTERS to companies in the industry. These companies provide corrupt gaming news sites with ad revenue, review copies, press junkets, and more. A physical letter, either handwritten or typed out and signed, is taken more seriously by PR people than emails or online contact forms. Basically for maximum results for your effort, a physical letter is the best thing you can send. Please message me (@EvilPandaPirate on Twitter) for corrections or additions.
  4.
  5. Here's the text of the letter I will be sending to these companies. DO NOT COPY AND PASTE MY LETTER, THAT IS STUPID AND IF YOU DO YOU ARE STUPID ALSO.
  6.
  7. To whom it may concern:
  8.
  9. I'm sure you're aware of the articles of August 28th that sought to paint gamers in a very negative light. These articles came out of websites such as Kotaku, GamaSutra, Polygon, and Ars Technica. Now it seems many of those same writers are seeking to up the ante. Articles and news pieces showing gamers as hateful have appeared in the New York Times, MSNBC, and CNN, to name a few. These pieces in the mainstream media use those same articles, and the writers who penned them, as sources to make the gaming industry as a whole look bad, right before the holiday season.
  10.
  11. Let me be clear: the gaming news media is complicit in a smear campaign that is harming the image of the entire industry, from top to bottom, right before the most crucial part of the fiscal year. It has become increasingly clear that we don't need media like this.
  12.
  13. So I urge you to withdraw advertising and other forms of support from these gaming news sites. Your review copies and ad revenue would be better spent on, for instance, well-known YouTube personalities or more consumer-friendly websites. In any case, you should follow the example of Intel, who withdrew ad support for GamaSutra already after determining that the cost of being associated with such poisonous press was too high.
