[21:44] <@Darkling> Another day after school. The pilots are at home, Lit's busy in his room working on something, and Corrin's secluded himself to his room as well.
[21:50] * Wilhelm_Faustus is sitting at the kitchen table with a stack of books, pouring over them.
[21:50] <Mr_Rage> *poring
[21:51] <Mr_Rage> Rasia, in sharp contrast, is running laps. She has been for several hours.
[21:53] <Lahja_Ilvainen> Lahja is also reading, but sitting on the couch. She looks overly amused.
[21:53] <Wilhelm_Faustus> He peers at her over the top of his book on occasion.
[21:53] <@Darkling> There's been quite a bit of noise going on next door since yesterday. Banging, smashing, the occasional saw noise.
[21:56] <Mr_Rage> Around and around and around...
[21:58] <Wilhelm_Faustus> ". . ." He focuses on reading.
[21:59] <Lahja_Ilvainen> Seems she's reading a treatise on guerrilla warfare. "I hope they're making gallows next door. With self usage in mind." She remarks, slightly annoyed.
[21:59] <@Darkling> A few loud bangs echo in response to that.
[22:03] <Lahja_Ilvainen> Lahja rises from her spot on the couch, going over to the wall. She bangs on it a few times.
[22:04] <Mr_Rage> Rasia stops to watch Lahja, drenched in perspiration, her nostrils flared.
[22:05] <@Darkling> A few muffled voices on the other side, then the banging returns.
[22:06] <Mr_Rage> Her head cocks to one side.
[22:07] <Wilhelm_Faustus> He closes his book and outs it down. He takes off his glasses and closes his eyes, pinching the bridge of his nose.
[22:08] <Lahja_Ilvainen> Lahja speaks loudly at the wall after knocking again. Her tone is questioning, but the words are a raging torrent of profanity and many ill words about someone's mother. Good thing she's speaking in Suomi. Maybe.
[22:09] <@Darkling> The noises continue unabated.
[22:11] <Wilhelm_Faustus> "...must be construction work. They're unlikely to stop."
[22:13] <Lahja_Ilvainen> "I still favor the gallows." She says with a sigh. She begins pacing around the room.
[22:14] <Wilhelm_Faustus> He stands up and walks to the hallway to Lit's room. He knocks on the door.
[22:16] <@Darkling> "Come in."
[22:16] <Wilhelm_Faustus> He opens the door and steps in, hands clasped behind his back.
[22:17] <@Darkling> Lit swivels in his chair away from a few computer monitors to look at Wil.
[22:18] <Wilhelm_Faustus> "...the noise, it's gettin on my nerves, Lahja's as well. I want permission to go out."
[22:19] <@Darkling> He looks at his watch. "I don't see an issue with that. Just take your tablets with you."
[22:20] <Wilhelm_Faustus> "...yes sir." He turns on his heel and leaves, closing the door behind him.
[22:21] <Mr_Rage> Rasia already seems to be on it, Wil. Though not in the wisest of ways.
[22:21] <Wilhelm_Faustus> What the hell is she up to?
[22:23] <Mr_Rage> She's out on the balcony, looking for a possible window entrance.
[22:23] <@Darkling> Considering your apartment takes up this whole half of the building, there's no way over from the balcony.
[22:24] <Mr_Rage> Damn.
[22:25] <Wilhelm_Faustus> He retrieves his tablet and makes for the elevator.
[22:27] <@Darkling> More noises from next door.
[22:28] <Wilhelm_Faustus> "...I'm going out." He says, hitting the button to call the elevator.
[22:28] <Mr_Rage> Rasia slips in after him.
[22:28] <Lahja_Ilvainen> Lahja mutters. She goes off to nab her tablet as well, and then to the elevator. "That will be two of us. Or three?"
[22:29] <Wilhelm_Faustus> A sigh and the elevator descends.
[22:33] <Lahja_Ilvainen> "Any specific plans?"
[22:33] <Wilhelm_Faustus> "...no."
[22:36] <@Darkling> The elevator opens at the ground floor.
[22:37] <Wilhelm_Faustus> He steps out, pulling up the hood on his shirt. The sleeves are gone from the shirt. Did he...cut them off?
[22:37] * Mr_Rage squints at the bared arms. Bad move, Wilhelm. Easier to grab, and I can see the veins.
[22:38] <Mr_Rage> *Rasia
[22:38] <Lahja_Ilvainen> "Aiming for a new look, Wilhelm?" She asks, mildly curious.
[22:39] <Wilhelm_Faustus> "...my clothing was made for a warmer climate...so I customized." He walks off, heading for the shopping district.
[22:40] <Mr_Rage> That doesn't really help suspicions.
[22:41] <Lahja_Ilvainen> Lahja nods, finding the explanation a believable one. She follows along, much less annoyed now that the banging is no longer an issue.
[22:42] <@Darkling> Maybe he is telling the truth. It's a nice warm day.
[22:48] <Wilhelm_Faustus> He doesn't ask them what they want to do, where they want to go...they can go on their own right? He aims for the pet store just beyond the book store...if you could call it that.
[22:49] <@Darkling> Pet store it is. At least there's no more construction noise out here.
[22:51] <Mr_Rage> Rasia stands frozen for a moment. Wait, wat.
[22:52] <Wilhelm_Faustus> That's right Rasia, time you got a collar. He lowers his hood and steps inside.
[22:53] <Lahja_Ilvainen> Lahja follows along all the way there. "Ah, something for Hel!" She exclaims happily. And then she looks at the place, a bit deflated. But she goes in regardless.
[22:53] <Mr_Rage> She scratches her cheek, bristling as soon as she enters.
[22:56] <Wilhelm_Faustus> Lets see...something for Hel...
[22:58] <@Darkling> Pets are still pretty common in the dome, and the pet store is huge. All types of animals and supplies to be seen.
[23:00] <Lahja_Ilvainen> "Collar, bell, catnip, catnip mouse..." And then after a few moments of looking about. "How about a mouse or two?"
[23:03] <Wilhelm_Faustus> He picks up a bell for Hel's collar, then keeps looking.
[23:05] <Lahja_Ilvainen> Lahja takes some catnip and catnip toys. And then she goes over to the mice, looking them over. "Hello, plague bringers!"
[23:11] <Lahja_Ilvainen> "You know, you're very lucky. You breed a lot faster than people. You might make it through this!" Lahja rambles on, addressing the mice in a vaguely baby talk-like manner.
[23:12] <Wilhelm_Faustus> He watches her...keeping quite.
[23:15] <@Darkling> Looks like someone's dog got loose, running through the aisles.
[23:15] <Wilhelm_Faustus> Or is it Rasia?
[23:15] <Lahja_Ilvainen> She rambles a little while longer, going on about encouraging them to breed like mad so they can keep the cats fed during the apocalypse. But eventually she loses interest, both in the rats and the store, so she looks about for the others.
[23:18] <Wilhelm_Faustus> Where -is- Rasia?
[23:18] <Mr_Rage> ...Uhhh. Not with Wil or Lahja.
[23:19] <Wilhelm_Faustus> Leaving without her would be...problematic. Time to search.
[23:20] <Mr_Rage> She isn't with the toys...
[23:22] <Lahja_Ilvainen> She eventually comes across Wilhelm, then looks about. "I think I'm done. Is..." She stops, looking from side to side again.
[23:22] <Wilhelm_Faustus> "...missing."
[23:24] <@Darkling> It's a big store too.
[23:25] <Wilhelm_Faustus> Of course it is.
[23:33] <Wilhelm_Faustus> So...lets start up and down the aisles.
[23:34] <Mr_Rage> There's a figure that hasn't budged over the last four aisles. She's studying one of the displays.
[23:35] <Lahja_Ilvainen> Lahja walks at a quick pace, going from aisle to aisle whilst looking about.
[23:36] <Wilhelm_Faustus> What is it thats got her attention? Hands slipping into his pockets, Wil approaches.
[23:38] <Mr_Rage> Looks...looks like she's in a staring contest with a serpent. One of those big constricters delinquets buy.
[23:39] <Wilhelm_Faustus> "...it isn't going to blink."
[23:39] <Lahja_Ilvainen> "No eyelids?" Lahja asks, coming to a halt.
[23:42] <Wilhelm_Faustus> "A clear film that covers there eyes...if I'm not mistaken."
[23:42] <Mr_Rage> This doesn't seem to deter her. She growls at it.
[23:43] <Lahja_Ilvainen> "Hm... that's convenient." She eyes the snake with a degree of appreciation.
[23:45] <@Darkling> An employee seems quite intent on trying to explain the constrictor to Rasia.
[23:46] <Wilhelm_Faustus> "...don't bother." Is his advice to the employee.
[23:47] <@Darkling> She stops mid-sentence about it's eating habits.
[23:49] <Mr_Rage> 'Wrestle?' She signs, looking to Wilhelm.
[23:49] <Wilhelm_Faustus> "...no, you can't wrestle with it."
[23:49] <Mr_Rage> A growl. She loses interest, at least.
[23:53] <Wilhelm_Faustus> Good. Time to pay and get out before something else catches her attention.
