109. Reviews:
110.
111. Main Judges:
112.
113. mi40's reviews
114.
5ive STAR (valor) - accepted w/ fixes
115. - the beginning hold shouldnt be on up or down notes, i feel that it's more newb friendly to have holds on one hand if you're going to have them hit notes WHILE having a hold, try putting the hold on left or right (1, 4)
116. also in the beginning you have the drums or w/e as jumps but you have those layered throughout the song anyways, so i think if you stepped the other instruments in the background instead for the first 15 seconds that would be better
117. - from 15 seconds to 30 seconds i think it'd be better if you didn't have any jumps and changed the single hand to a jump since the drum becomes much more audible after the 30 second mark, from that point on you can layer drums
118. - for this song, after the 30 second, instead of layering every single drum, i feel it'd be a LOT more enjoyable if you focused on stepping the vocals, that way the jacks that go to the vocals would be much more pronounced (i feel this would make it a lottt more fun to hit, instead of having to hit jumps every 2 measures like a chore) - for the parts without vocals it's acceptable to keep it the way you have as it is
119. - basically when the vocals come in don't layer the drums every 2 measures since it feels like a hassle, and it'll help vary up the song, this file is sweet and short, with this kind of song i feel having an easy file that brings out the vocals would make it pretty memorable
120.
121. virus (cosmovibe) - accept w/ cut and little fix
122. - good song choice, except it repeats starting @ 106s, i think if you cut the song @ precisely like... 106.68s (thats the time on my editor), basically i think the last note should be the [134] hand you have after the trilly part, i think that would make the song a good length of 1:47, perfect imo
123. - the hands in heavy felt kind of hard but the heavy chart is meant for intermed players so i think it's fine
124. - light chart is good, nice difficulty management
125.
126. information leak (danceguy) - with fixes/cut probably
127. - i recommend cutting the song, i think a good place would be after the last 4th note at 79.5s and fading it out all the way to 82s from there and cutting it before the 4th right note @ 82s
128. - 150bpm 16th jacks mixed in with the streamy parts seem overkill esp for a song w/o too many jumps (aka difficulty spikes) so...
129. - relayer this song with proper jumps to the very audible drum sounds and find a way to change the jacks into something else like quick 3-note trills
130. - [34][12][34][12][13] parts at 29s, 35s, 41s are overdone, now if you made minijacks here or
131. - 23232323 24th trills parts @ 19s & 45s should be redone since they pose too much of a difficulty spike compared to the otherwise not too fast 16th parts everywhere else
132. - for the mine walls (ex. 45s, 48s. 51s, 54s), i think you should take them out and utilize holds to emphasize those background sounds instead
133. - 64s ~ 70s: now THIS part i want you to layer fully and not miss a single one of those cool drumsounds.. instead of heavily layering the repeated parts from the beginning to around 55s, if you varied up the first 55 seconds of the file and THEN combined all the sounds in this climax, that would make for a much more fun & memorable file, something replayable
134. - once again, cut the song please (i'm only reviewing up to 85s)
135.
136. roxas (james may) - with addition of holds & various fixes yes
137. - not really feeling the grace notes, maybe if you toned down the grace notes and made this a straightforward easy piano file, that would be awesome (when i mention grace notes i mean the ones that are 48th/4ths @ like 62s, it's barely audible)
138. - you could really use some holds in this file, go through the file and remove the hands (jump+grace note) and instead focus on putting interesting holds here and there when some of the notes are pressed for longer durations than others)
139. - PR is off in some parts like 90s ~ 97s
140. - once again, grace notes are barely audible and should prob be removed
141. - song is nice and slow but i feel like it should be cut somewhere, the first 33 seconds feel really mediocre
142.
143. weed circulation (reikonkeiri) - with lots of fixes maybe
144. (this is using your new 1.926 offset)
145. eh i dont know about the song choice but here are my thoughts :o
146. - for the beginning 25 seconds, i think it'd be better if you stepped the vocals only (drop it like it's hot)
147. - also from 25 seconds ~ 40 seconds, slow it down and sync the vocals better, you have some ghost 32nd notes!
148. - 50s ~ 58s, don't forget to properly layer the drums here, you also miss some nice hold sounds here (near 58s)
149. - 58s ~ 74s, for this part i think you should tone down the layering but try to include some fun parts like minijacks here and there to accentuate the repeated "we-weed", also don't forget to include holds for the drawn out vocals... & you can solve overlayering by simply choosing not to step the circulation melody all the way through, weave both the circulation melody & smoke weed - it's a mashup after all, you also missed two jumps at the end (where did your mines go? you had mines with jumps before at the end of major sections)
150. - 74s ~ end, you have some missed notes at like 82 seconds, maybe at the end you can have mines next to the jump like you've done throughout
151. - this file overall i think this has potential but i don't know, feels kinda dragged out - and this is why you should try to make varied patterns & weave in and out just like how the mashup weaves in and out of the two different songs
152.
153. shy guys toy box (alloyus) - idk i'll look @ it a bit more closely
154. - way too difficult, especially with some of the patterns, also it is way too overlayered (esp in challenge chart)
155. - when i say overlayered, there are a lot of layering inconsistencies with jumps & i can't really feel the hands, i think it'd be better if you took out the hands and changed the file to be less heavy on the layering, like removing jumps @ 4.5 seconds where you layer in 4 jumps with the 13131313 24th trill
156. - overall the song isn't too exciting and because of the really inconsistent difficulty spikes - this occurs in both charts (its a problem with the song, not the file)
157. - i don't think this song has much chance of being too memorable, so i would personally say no to this file (even if you made all the correct changes), but we'll see what the others have to say :o
158. - edit: the heavy chart looks much better than challenge, but i think the 24th trills are a bit too much considering the other parts of the file are 130bpm 16ths
159.
160. theme of hawkeye (ferrari) - accept w/ minor fixes
161. - for the holds that are from the beginning to around 26s, it'd be better if you shortened them a TINY bit because a lot of beginning & intermed players have trouble probably reading holds
162. - for the mines that are woven in between the notes (ex: 8.5s, 12s, 14s..) i think it'd be best if you took them out since when i played it, i couldnt really comprehend what the mines were supposed to be (in the shoes of intermed players).. so i think if you removed all the mines from beginning to 42s, that'd be great :D
163. - also from 42s ~ 69s, you have mines periodically that aren't overdone BUT i think it'd be better if you removed the mines and made some sounds holds instead (43s, 43.5s) (46.5s, 47s) (50s, 50.5s) you know what i'm talking about
164. - also at 48.5s, you have a 4-note grace that goes 3142, i think it'd be better if you made that a 3 note grace like you've done in all the other places :D
165. - otherwise the song is really funky and the ending climax is sick, really awesome layering as well, fix those mine & hold related things and we'll see what others have to say, this is definitely gonna go into pack with minor fixes if others point out the same thing
166.
167. theme of hawkeye (ferrari)
168. we in pack now
169.
170. blah blah blah (moches) - def accept w/ minor fix
171. holy shit this is fun and my friends LOVED it so much (esp the u know what mine parts)
172. only thing i'd like is for the parts where she goes "blah" and "na na na" that have rly short holds to have longer holds and for the fading out part (ex. 45s) you can have holds that get progressively longer to emphasize the fade out instead
173.
174. otherwise this is a shining example of a file that this pack needs :)
175.
176. shanghai flight (skor) - accept w/ lots of fixes
177. beginning ~ 12s: if you have holds with increasing length depending on the strenght of the sound that would be awesome
178. 27.5s: put a hold on either left or right note on the hand here and drag it to around 28.5seconds and then put a hold on the up note and drag that for about an 8th of a note
179. 29s ~ 33s: instead of jumps, i think it'd be better if you had a single note with a hold that goes on for about a 12th of a note instead
180. 33.04s ~ 35.78s: i think if you use [24] or [13] jumps here it might be better, your preference though
181. 35.783s ~ 37.155s: uh this 32nd trill is a no-no, if you want to step all the sounds here remove the jumps completely and do 32nd rolls instead, trills + jumps are a big nono, and so is jumps here
182. you missed a note at 38.183s after the right note
183. 38.5s ~ end of song: you dont step some sounds here but i think it'd better if you did since the file is hard enough to warrant those notes anyways, i'm talking about the sounds at 40.9s + 41.1s and 41.62s + 41.79s and 46.612s + 46.440s for example
184. 48.126s ~ 49.497s // 70s ~ 71.44s // 81s ~ end: dont step the holds like this please, leave room between the holds and the next hold, and also i disagree with stepping this part like this, add in different jumps like [13] and [24] to emphasize the varying sounds here, that would be MUCH better
185. 54.98s ~ 58.7s: step the vocals please
186. 59.097s: you can probably use holds or mines here to emphasize the spin
187. the end could use a hold too
188.
189. clumsy thoughts (bmah) - accept with minor fixes
190. --heavy--
191. PLEASE remove the hands during the bursty 24th parts, they are too much to handle compared to the rest of the song, jumps i think should be fine though but some parts are heavily loaded before and after the burst so look into removing hands into jumps/maybe even single notes near those parts if there are audible BANGS and BOOMS
192. remove the mines completely imo (ex. 11s ~ 14s) - during these parts instead, utilize holds imo since you decided to not step the background sounds as rolls but instead 8ths
193. burst near 106s: i think removing the jump in the middle and making these straight rolls 1234 1234 would be better, friend had an extremely hard time comprehending this part
194. ending 10 notes: maybe add some holds at the end? idk
195.
196. cross glaxy (rparty89) - fixes needed
197. idk about the chart but the song is really nice, you have too many difficulty spikes, i feel like if you vary up your layering a bit more (and excluding hands) would result in a much better simfile, also try to vary up which sounds are dominant in your layering - you dont have to follow the main melody all the time - i sort of wish this file was consistently harder by a tiny bit and toned down way more in the harder bursty parts that you had, the idea is good - you just need better execution now (ex. 83s ~ 100s is way too empty considering that the song is near its climax) (ex. 3s ~ 52s is way too empty as well in most parts, you can definitely follow more sounds than this while lowering the difficulty spikes)
198.
199. rain (valor) - accept w/ fixes + easier chart
200. make an easier chart please!!! (just like wat necros said)
201. like, way easier chart
202. anyhow, my only problem with chart is it gets kinda reppp at the end so if you could vary up the 24th patterns a LOT more (instead of having it based around trills with jumps added here and there) that'd be great
203. (56s ~ 61s - i think you can do something seriously cooler with this section than just jumps + hands, look into using holds to accentuate the dragged out vocals here idk)
204. overall since the song doesnt change too much i feel like if we had some color + hold gimmicks here and there it would help out a lot more, make that easier chart though
205.
206. for the win (thesilentlord) - accept w/ some fixes
207. --- if you could also add an easier chart with toned down stuff and emphasis on vocals & easy 8ths that would be GREAT!
208. the song stays constant throughout, so i think it is a bad idea to chart the same sounds with similar patterns for the entire duration of the song
209. what i think you should do instead, is build up the song and what i mean by that is..
210. 39s ~ 55s: don't step every sound, instead have something like 8ths instead (no 16ths)
211. 55s ~ 69s: good layering
212. 72s: missing hold here bro
213. 73s ~ 74s: the right hand jack is too much, make this a trill instead
214. 74s ~ 106s: missing vocal holds here and there, listen more carefully, also it is HARD for people to hit notes while holding down a note ON THE SAME HAND. what i mean by this is, if you have a hold on 3 (the up note) while having them hit notes on 4 (the right note), it is EXTREMELY unfriendly and uncomfortable to hit most of the time, change up your patterns to reflect this fact. layering is fine. remember to include vocals - with all these conditions it might be hard to step the file properly but you can still fulfill all of these conditions. the rule to having a hold and a note on the same hand shouldn't apply when it's a jump at the starting position of the hold (ex. you hit a jump 34 and you begin holding 4 but for the next second or two there are no notes on 3)
215. 106s: cut the song here, that would be better
216.
217. favorite daughter (emanresu13) - accept with mentioned fixes
218. good song choice but there is lots of room for improvement
219. first off in the heavy chart...
220. - please step all the sounds, aka 16ths throughout the song that you didn't step, for example: at the intro up to the first cymbal, and instead of stepping parts like 4s ~ 5.5s as three jumps, just step them as normal 16ths notes and layer properly, using jumps only when needed (ex. cymbal sounds, at places like 4.498s, 5.417s, basically at the end of every 3 jumps that you have at the moment)
221. - 13.233s could probably be a hand, also make sure to step all the sounds that come after
222. - starting from around the 33s mark, please make to layer all the BANG BOOM cymbal sounds with proper jumps and maybe even hands, it'll fit the song very well
223. also after the 33s mark you begin to step the 16ths from time to time but you then leave out some 8ths
224.
225. i think at the moment you were too afraid of the charts being too hard
226. so i think what you should do keep BOTH charts at the moment and shift them down one difficulty, and create a new HEAVY chart (so you'll have light, standard (the old heavy), and a brand new heavy chart)
227.
228. you can even copy paste the current heavy chart into the new heavy chart, just make sure to step every sound you hear and layer properly because the cymbals and violin sounds really shouldn't go unstepped
229.
230. for the win v2 (thesilentlord) - fixes needed
231. dont know why i didnt point this out before
232. but for the first ten seconds you have jumps with holds but the only sounds that warrant jumps are ones like drum @ 10.533s and @ 12.584s, the rest should be just singe holds, this goes on til about 37.5seconds
233.
234. also i think the consistent repeated notes for around from 20.79s to 37s are really unnecessary - the file gets harder after this point so what's the point of stepping barely audible sounds?
235.
236. - 39s ~ 72s : i would like some pattern variation, esp near 53s ~ 55s (you could probably do something 2-note minijacks here), also for these 30 or so seconds i know you're trying to make the file get harder as it goes on but i think you should just layer all the sounds consistently (drums etc) since it kind of doesnt make sense to be hitting the drums latter 15 seconds of this part and not hitting it for the first 15 seconds
237.
238. - 73s ~ ending: rework all of the patterns, the jacks when combined with jump+holds are really unfriendly, also make all the holds shorter (dont make them end and make another start right after, give people some room) - also all throughout this part you have some ghost notes and you miss a lot of sounds, look over this part again and tone this down a lot more, make friendlier patterns (one handed trills and a minijack leading into a jump isnt friendly), i know i mentioned that having holds + notes on one hand is hard but so are unfriendly patterns, so i think you can HALVE the length of the holds in this section and because you've halved (you can even cut the holds EVEN MORE) - with this change not only can you open up your chart for MORE PATTERNS, you'll also be able to express the vocals through the holds (the point will get through), but this part seriously needs restepping, put the steps down on 1.0 rate and dont miss obvious sounds
239.
240. guren no yumiya (thesilentlord) - rejected
241. i don't see much hope for this kind of song, it's basically the same short melody for like 80 seconds and the vocals are pretty annoying, there are good anime OPs/EDs out there but this isn't one, not to mention the song will pretty much be straight 8th notes with lackluster melodies, this isn't right for the pack!
242.
243. 4.5 (0) - why man why
244. you probably already know what i'm gonna say
245. too hard and songs like this should be sent to mad packs instead :( nichijou is still cool
246.
247. po pi po (0) - easy chart please
248. send an easy chart please thanks
249.
250. screams of roki (roundbox) - accept w/ many fixes needed
251. (light)
252. - for the 2 measure breaks like the ones @ 19.8seconds~20.8 seconds, i think you should use holds
253. - 34.8s~ 39s: the jacks are too much, i think if you used gallops like [34]2 or something it'd be a lot smoother & less of a difficulty spike
254. (heavy)
255. - 15s ~ 17s: you miss a lot of cool drumsounds here :(
256. - 34.3s: step the drums here! they sound so cool
257. - 34.8s~ 39s: the jacks are too much in heavy as well, maybe if you did something like [34][12] [12][34] [34][12] ... alternating patterns it might be a lot smoother
258. - 49s ~ 65s: 3 note jacks are too much i think, think about changing to 3 note trills or a minijack+single note
259. - 97s: the hold on right arrow with up down trills are too unfriendly, consider switching that to 1212 (left down left down) trills instead
260. also in the emptier sections of the guitar solos from 70s ~ 94s consider stepping the drums as well since it feels too relaxed compared to the heavier 24th parts of the solos
261. - 112s: you dont step the bursts like this one throughout the song but i think you should step them!
262.
263. (oni)
264. - 41s ~ 48s: the handstream feels unwarranted (cant really hear what the hands go to)
265. - 49s ~ 65s: the jacks leading into jacks are too much even for oni i think, and the 3-note jacks that are on left/right arrows are kinda hard imo
266.
267. CONCLUSION: i think you should move oni to edit since it's hard as hell (kinda too hard for the pack) and refine heavy as much as you can since the song is pretty slick, suggestions on heavy kinda apply to other difficulties too
268.
269. mirror mirror (latest revision) (rcalibergx) - maybe w/ fixes
270. - first time looking at file, if you're going to do grace notes dont just put 192nds, i learned that the hard way, put them as 4th + 48th or something, 192nds are too unnoticable on stepmania (60fps)
271. - you missed a note @ 54.916s
272. - the 1234 1234 rolls @ 56.56s should be 24ths, not 16ths
273. - another missed note @ 58.204s, these occur throughout file, fix them
274. - 63s ~ 76s: you keep weaving in and out of 16ths and 8th jumps, dont do this, either dedicate to vocals + 8ths or step all the 16ths, in this case i think you should dedicate layering vocals and 8ths instead of stepping the 16ths, the faster/more exciting parts all have 16ths after this part anyways. - for parts like 63.136s ~ 64.779s just use holds and remove the 16ths, same with 66.423s ~ 67.862s, make sure to step the vocals here
275. - 91s ~ 98s: you have some misrhythms here.. dont step this part on a low rate, step this on 1.0 rate - the notes you have put down are too faint to hear and dont follow the main beat (for example after the hand @ 91.081s you put 23143 in succession but in reality it should be 23[14][empty 16th space]3 and more.. restep this part
276. - 99s: cut the song here please, song kind of drags on..
277.
278. melody circus (latest revision) (shenjoku) - accept w/ more fixes
279. this song has a lot of potential, just gonna say this first
280. (heavy)
281. - you seem afraid to step things as jumps and also afraid to step certain sounds.. don't be afraid, i think you should deviate from the main melody (you step basically the main melody only) but this song has a swing feel to it so you should definitely weave in and out of the main melody in certain sections
282. - for example, 18.606 ~ 19.3s you leave out a huge chunk of the music to nothingness, dont be afraid to step those sounds in heavy since this song is upbeat and energetic anyways
283. - layer some jumps (not as often as oni) but still put jumps in the emptier sections of this chart
284. - 131 ~ 140s: you miss a lot of cool sounds here (prob on purpose since you stepped them in oni), but you should still step these because otherwise the chart feels too empty (even as heavy)
285. you could alternatively put this as the LIGHT chart and layer the current HEAVY chart to be a bit harder with at least SOME jumps and a bit more layering with added instruments that you didn't step.. kind of like a crossover between current ONI / HEAVY chart (except current heavy will become new LIGHT chart)
286. - fade the song out @ 140s, 2 minutes is good enough and the song repeats for a good minute after this anyways
287. (oni)
288. - pretty nice as is.. but i wish you found some places to place minijacks.. 55s ~ 64s seems like a fantastic candidate for some minijacks (along with sounds that you didnt step, the ones before the jumpholds)
289.
290. hajimari no resolution (xelnya) - accept w/ fixes
291. song is kinda like guren no yumiya (jpop, op, ed anime song) BUT this song has merit since you have some nice guitar
292. - the jumpjacks that have hands before or after them are a definite nono, but otherwise heavy chart is fine
293. - the standard chart should definitely focus more on the instruments, and let go of the vocals for the exciting drums, what i mean by this is swap out parts that step vocal only to step the fun drum sounds (could make for fun minijacks here and there, same case with guitar (ex. 21.9s ~ 31.377s, the swing guitar sounds much more fun to hit than the mundane 8th vocal notes that aren't even holds), also dont be afraid to add more notes & jumps in the standard chart. this is an upbeat song and the chart should be as well
294. fix these and we should be good to go
295.
296. quartz quadrant (mrtea) - accept w/ fixes
297. (light / beginner)
298. - chart feels lackluster and isn't right for this type of upbeat song imo, take it out
299. (standard)
300. - i dont know about the rolls on the standard chart.. iirc they dont work properly on 3.95, i think you should take them out anyways and replace them with 12th trills (not as fast as 16ths but still makes sense)
301. - this is jazzy and definitely has a swingy feel.. for parts like 16.86s ~ 21.5s, include swings with a single 8th note + jumps instead of plain jumps, this should be applied to the rest of the chart
302. - you could use some holds in this chart for the higher pitched parts like 25.203s, maybe even a hand (applies to rest of chart since it repeats a lot) (basically the occasional really loud cymbal/snare should have a hand for emphasis)
303. - 40s - 41.889s: step some 24ths here to give the chart a little fun spike
304. - latter half of chart looks good
305. - cut chart @ 100.288s with a hand or something since it repeats the entire thing again
306. (heavy)
307. - instead of 16th trills you should have 1234 4321 1324 4231 1243 or some kind of roll, the 4 note trills @ 230bpm are pretty darn fast
308. - 15.557s ~ 16.86s: easy on the jumpjacks, this is at 230bpm.
309. - follow suggestions from standard chart review (esp. jazz + swing recommendation)
310. - utilize holds, make the emptier parts with just simple jumps harder with my swing suggestion
311. - 65s ~ 67s: easy on the jumpjacks, too much of a difficulty spike @ 230bpm!
312. - 65s ~ end: don't be afraid to layer more stuff during the holds, this is your heavy chart.
313. - 75s ~ 100s: could probably utilize some minijacks here and there to spice things up a bit in comparison to the much faster paced beginning
314.
315. our turn (mrtea) - accept w/ minor fixes
316. (heavy)
317. remove this chart, too hard for pack (or you can put it as edit, idc)
318. (standard)
319. - great stuff, just change the rolls since they dont work on 3.9/3.95 into holds.
320. - you could probably layer in more jumps from beginning ~ 63s since it's really empty anyways, i recommend you do so (so that players dont get bored too easily)
321. - add more holds yo, and you could prob cut the song @ 95s, the last 30 seconds kind of drag on.
322. (light)
323. - utilize jumps if possible, otherwise chart is fine
324. (beginner)
325. remove chart please, way too simple for such a fast song
326.
327. this is a virus (mollo) - accept w/ minor fix
328. (light)
329. - layer the jumps from 43s ~ 54s too mang
330. - little iffy on the 16th trill @ 62s, maybe you could step the vocal sample instead? idk man (you also didnt step 'the bomb' @ 63s, it sounds fun to hit)
331. - you also didnt step the vocals at the end but since you did it in heavy i guess its fine
332. (heavy)
333. - lmfao this is hard, put this as edit or oni
334. - 54s ~ 59s: the patterns are too left hand biased, maybe use up/down arrows as anchors instead of left arrow?
335. - 59s ~ 63.6s: omg the patterns.. use something like [34]1[34]1 instead of [34]1[24]1 for the first part and use [24]3[24]1 instead of [14]3[14]2 for the second part or something :o
336. - 97s ~ 105s: hands & quads are too much mang, tone this down a lot more
337.
338. symbolic (kraezymann) - accept w/ minor fixes
339. - really nice job on the file
340. - only problem i have is pattern choice for some parts.. specifically parts that go like [12]2[12] and [34]3[34] (ex. 4.25 seconds in, 35.25s, 56.9s..)
341. - 60.8s ~ 61.77s: the part that has 6 down notes is really unfriendly, considering changing over some notes so that instead of hitting 6 down notes the player can instead hit 3 down notes and 3 up notes or something instead
342. asides from that sort of pattern issue, really slick file, captures the ddr feel really nicely :)
343.
344. guren no yumiya (thesilentlord) - more charts needed
345. the problem with songs like this is that when you weave both vocal + background instruments into steps, it gets really messy and hard to tell what's going on
346. here's what i think..
347. keep the current chart and copy/move it to light, and make the mentioned changes into heavy
348. - beginning ~ 15s: this is fine as is
349. - 15s ~ 25.37s: the vocals are quieter than the latter parts, and the background instruments arent that loud either, i recommend just stepping vocals with single notes and holds here (you can keep the jumps that you've already put though)
350. - 25.37s ~ 36s: step the vocals still, but be bold with the layering and also include the occasional snare/drum sounds
351. - 36s and on: the file gets progressively louder so take that into consideration...
352. - 36s ~ 47s: step most of the sounds you hear, vocals AND instruments, don't leave sounds out (ex. 46s ~ 47s you leave out cool drumsounds)
353. - 47.14s ~ 57s: after the exciting section you can give the player a break, step the cool instrumental (violin?) sounds in the background with lax holds and the orchestral vocals (not the main singer)
354. - 57s ~ end: you miss sounds like the roll @ 76.209s and cool drumsounds like the ones @ 76.5s , take your time and step those things as well
355. - 77s ~ end: step up your layering here, add more jumps and make the file get harder by this point since we're nearing the end
356. - 82s ~ 85.6s: step all the guitar sounds and add holds for the guitar notes as well
357. - 87s: missed drumsounds here as well... step these please, 87.67s: also missed a lot of guitar sounds, step these too man! 24ths or something to finish off the song
358.
359. flower flag (kaneh) - accept w/ one easier chart
360. you have a good grasp of what kind of files this pack is looking for, really nice job on this!
361. just make a slightly easier chart if possible (maybe different layering scheme? idk)
362. if you don't have time for an easier chart that's fine too
363.
364. mystery metropolis (kaneh) - accept w/ minor fix
365. - beginning jacks are offbeat, look more carefully
366. - you could utilize holds on the guitar parts, it's really prominent and i think holds would accompany the song nicely (ex. 26s ~ 60s - you dont have to put holds for the entire duration but you should put holds in some places at least)
367. - ending note should be a long hold as well lol
368. asides from that offbeat jack and lack of proper holds this file is great as well
369. so please fix those things and we're good to go!
370.
371. sacred campaign (kaneh) - accepted
372. short and sweet
373.
374. astro teemo (reikonkeiri) - rejected
375. the song drags on a bit and sounds too generic (i dont know..)
376.
377. halcyon (rcalibergx) - accept w/ one easier chart
378. the challenge to this song is making an easier chart since it's so upbeat
379. the current chart is great, but an easier chart is desperately needed
380. see what you can do with the song - if you can make a good easier chart this is in for sure
381.
382. morenatsu title theme (d4u7211) - accepted
383. good easy and mellow, fantastic
384.
385. mysterious exorcism rod (ddc) - accepted
386. holy shit this is fun
387.
388. our turn (mrtea) v2 - accepted
389. nice! good difficulty coverage, i think the file's offset is a bit off though - could be just my ddream however
390.
391. quartz quadrant v2 - accepted
392. fantastic 8-)
393.
394. symbolic v2 - accepted
395. now the song feels a LOT better, esp. the standard chart
396.
397. mirror mirror v4 (or v3.333 w/e) (rcalibergx) - accept
398. accepted, except i'm removing the 32nd roll @ 109s on all charts since it doesnt really make sense / isnt audible
399.
400. favorite daughter v4 (emanresu13 or lemm) - accept
401. yes! now it feels a lot smoother
402.
403. melody circus v3 (shenjoku) - accept
404. now this is a lot better, great job (esp on heavy chart)
405.
406. This Will Be the Day [James Landino Remix] (rCaliberGX) - accept w/ minor fix to holds
407. - really great song choice
408. - tone down the holds (esp the ones at like, 101s, 111s), since it's really hard to keep a few holds down WHILE hitting stream-ish patterns for beginners and even some intermediate players, i get what you're trying to do with the holds but let's cut them to half length or even quarter length for the longer ones
409. - asides from this, pattern choice is really good and layering is pretty damn solid
410. - ps this is your best file by far
411.
412. Mirror Mirror v5 (rCaliberGX) - accept
413. - good for upper level beginners and lower intermed players
414. - ty for doing minor fixes
415. - ending is slick
416.
417. Try and Follow Me (moches) - accept
418. - really slick gimmicks, all 3 charts cover a wide range of skill level
419.
420. Thousand Cherry Blossom (newest ver) (DDC) - accept
421. - well now that i looked at it again the sync kind of drifts a bit by the end of the song, look into that, if not i'll just fix it
422.
423. Mysterious Exorcism Rod (newest ver) (DDC) - accept
424. - easy to play, the mines are still iffy but this is good as is
425.
426. Adept (Kommisar) - accept, feel free to make changes
427. -24th trill at like 17seconds in feels kinda hard? idk this is your choice
428. - one easier chart with a bit less layering in latter half of the song & less jacks overall would be nice, your choice still, without easier chart this is intermed chart which is fine too
429. - good song choice
430.
431. Always Yours (Kommisar) - accept, mines are really freakin hard to avoid though
432. - parts with mines that look like jacks towards end is really really hard
433. - mines + hold part is acceptable though, really smart
434. - or u can make an additional chart without any mines, those mine parts are really hard to hit for some peeps
435.
436. Taiyou Iwaku Moeyo Chaos (Kommisar) - accept as is
437. - heavy chart is very pattern friendly yess
438. - oni chart is good quadbait for good players, challenging to fc but noobies but still doable
439.
440. (v1) Vertex Delta TRUE (rCaliberGX) - needs easy chart
441. - song is good but feels pretty heavy since it's got a lot of jumpstreamy stuff
442. - an easier chart is desperately needed, idk how to handle this kind of song though
443. let me know if you do decide to make an easier chart, look through like.. community keyboard megapack 1, 2 and stuff like that .. old (<2009) easy charts
444.
445. (v2) This Will Be the Day [James Landino Remix] (rCaliberGX) - accept
446. - very good, but tone down the holds
447. holds are still too much, ruins the gameplay for this kind of song (i get what you're doing with the vocals but they are obnoxiously hard to hit and makes the song less fun)
448.
449. (v1) GAIA (rparty89) - needs easy chart
450. - 180bpm stream, jumpstream and the occasional 4 note 180bpm 16th jack is not what this pack is looking for..
451. song is good - if you can somehow make an easier chart this will be great
452. look at files from like 2006 era (keyboard collaborations, community keyboard megapacks) to get a good idea on how to handle songs like this.. you don't have to step every sound (for an easier chart anyways)
453.
454. (final ver) Favorite Daughter (Lemm!!!) - accept
455. ty for sending final ver this is good
456.
457. (v1) Eclipse (rCaliberGX) - rejected
458. - go easy on the holds man, esp the beginning - they fade out a lot earlier than you think
459. - wow this is a lot harder than it looks, the problem with this song is that it begins and ends with really slow stuff but gets very fast in the middle.. i dont think this song can work out with our pack since it drags on during the start and end..
460.
461. (v1) Light House (bmou) - accept only with 1 more easier chart
462. - both charts are on intermed level (160bpm+), i think an easier chart would be great
463. - feels a lot like valor's light house in odi3 but i guess if you make an easier chart then the file's fit for this pack
464. - check sync, i think it might be off by a tiny bit
465.
466. across the nightmare (ilikexd) - accept (make slight fix)
467. - you seem to step some barely-audible sounds and choose to ignore certain sounds (ex. 8s ~ 10s barely audible stuffs) (ex. 14s ~ 15.7s you ignore the jack ish sounds :( )
468. if you want ignore the jack-sounding stuff that's fine cause it might be too hard at 150bpm but the barely audible sounds at like 8s are iffy
469. - otherwise chart is pretty consistent, doesn't need an easier chart imo
470. good song choice too
471.
472. faint (ilikexd) - yes
473. - jesus christ linkin park, never thought anybody would tackle linkin park for sm lol
474. - dude wtf this file is fuckin TIGHT, easily your best work i've ever seen to date
475.
476. petite feet (ilikexd) - accept w/ tiny fixesz
477. - you seem to make some parts normal (stepping all the right sounds) but then you go way too easy on parts like 18s~21s
478. i suggest making those empty parts a tiny bit harder (there are cool instruments that you don't step in favor of straight vocals)
479.
480. then it should be good (i'm saying this because parts like 53s ~ 59s warrant a general difficulty upspike in comparison to parts like say, 18s~21s - and those parts are pretty upbeat too )
481.
482. [v2] Vertex Delta TRUE (rCaliberGX) - accept
483.
484. kirlian voyager (rcalibergx) - accept (quick fixes needed)
485. - change trill from 232323 to 242424 @ 80s mark, more friendly that way imo, and remove the jump in the trill
486.
487. mirror mirror (rcalibergx) - good2go
488.
489. opening (xelnya) - rejected
490. 66 seconds of pretty much.. nothing.. i expect some kinda epic orchestra to come in but it never came, chart is fine but song choice is def. not what we're looking for here, sorry
491.
492. daybreak (fission) - accept w/ minor fix
493. - missed sound at 38s i think
494. - check rhythms @ 88s ish <<< look @ this pls, do like 0.7 rate or something
495. - pretty nice and mellow, reminds me of shortcuts a lot
496. - you left out song author in the sm
497. - i havent checked all the pr cause i suck at pr but you should look over pr carefully cause it's a piano file after all
498.
499. kirlian voyager v2 (rcalibergx) - still need a few fixes before fully accept
500. - things i didnt notice before!
501. - ghost note @ 59.541s/63.454/64,578/67.367s/83.019s..... i think this repeats in a lot of other places
502. i know what you're doing with these but they are barely audible even on 0.5
503.
504. -check patterns @ places like 91.7s, the 4[34][124] is kind of hard to hit for some people, if you're gonna layer those 3 sounds in the rising fashion just do 4[34][134] so that the hand is easier to hit without much thought... same thing happens @ 92.965s, the 4[34][123] is really tricky to hit, just change it to something like 3[23][123]
505. ^ this occurs in a lot of places as well
506.
507. a broken heart can mend (mrtea) - accept
508. mellow 130bpm file, i like this
509.
510. across the nightmare (ilikexd) - accept
511. now it reminds me a lot of not again (the colorful file)
512. easy going
513.
514. boss the boss pt.1 (arksuki) - reject
515. song choice isn't too stellar, and i think the file spikes too hard (then it just becomes 8th jumps for like 2 minutes)
516.
517. boss the boss pt.2 (arksuki) - reject
518. 142bpm 16th jumpjacks, come on now
519.
520. daybreak (fission) - accept
521. i guess we need some piano files to even out the pack
522. nice syncing
523.
524. derezzed (arksuki) - reject
525. 10 note long jacks @ 125bpm 16ths? -__- not to mention song is repetitive
526.
527. faint (ilikexd) - accept
528. ty for fixes, DONT TURN UR BAC ON ME I WONT BE IGNORD
529.
530. forbidden tracks (rcalibergx) - accept
531. WTF this is godlike
532.
533. gaia (rparty89) - fixes needed
534. the song chocie is good, ideas are good
535. but you need proper syncing, the file becomes offbeat (ex. parts near 40s+ in heavy, look into that)
536. fix syncing and we should be good
537.
538. galactic encounter (arksuki) - accept
539. now this is a better file, nice difficulty spread
540. heavy is very enjoyable to play
541.
542. green hill zone (arksuki) - reject
543. file spikes too much and is generally uninteresting :(
544.
545. horizon variations (ilikexd) - accept
546. song's mellow and slow
547. so why the hell not? we need more piano files anyways
548.
549. kirlian voyager (rcalibergx) - accept
550. i see what you did and you know what, it's still acceptable
551. this song kind of feels grand anyways
552.
553. mirror mirror (rcalibergx) - already in
554. ty for fixes
555.
556. monkey island (prawnskunk) - fixes needed
557. if you could fix the 4[23]1[23]4 sort of patterns that's be great
558. try to change some of the patterns like that into more swingy patterns
559. also make an easier swing chart, this song plays better with swing patterns
560.
561. petite feet (ilikexd) - accept
562. petite feet
563. feminine steppe
564. song choice nice
565.
566. plastic promises (reikonkeiri) - accept
567. dude this is actually damn good, when did u become stepping gurue
568. its prb song choice, this is perfect for this kinda pack
569.
570. sannin no dragon slayer (prawnskunk) - accept

601. information leak - edit it
602. the song should be definitely cut. if you can't do it yourself properly find someone who can do it for you. The chart has some dumb difficulty spikes with the 16th jumps sections and especially the 24ths at the end. don't be afraid to use some jumps to accent sounds around the song and instead tone down the harder parts. i want to see a resubmit for this, get on it.
603.
604. roxas - accepted with minor fixes
605. i want you to check the sync accurately, especially on the grace notes. are you sure they are actually 48ths? File needs better pitch relevancy, you used the same consecutive patterns for two different sounds way too often, and some pattern choices could be slightly better. Overall i like it.
606.
607. Shy guys toy box - accepted with minor fixes
608. heavy:
609. add jumps to the following seconds: 4.137 - 10.019 - 13.652 - 17.294 - 31.833 - 50.040 and make the last jump a hand. which these small fixes the file will remain easy in difficulty while being more accurate, especially cause you followed the respective sounds with jumps in other occasions.
610. oni:
611. do the 32nds have to be that way? they really ruin the flow. try to come up with something else. use hands more efficiently to accent some particular sounds and be careful to be consistent (some sounds repeat and you don't follow them the same way). Lastly, make the last jump a hand or a quad for mega emphasis.
612. Besides these things, sweet file, go fix it!
613.
614. hawkeye - accepted with VERY minor fixes
615. awesome file which features a nice jack usage and well planned out difficulties. i would recommend to take out the 32nds triplets in the middle for the easiest chart for the sake of keeping it simple to follow, and that's all.
616.
617. virus - accepted with minor fixes
618. this file is amazing, it really fucking owns! but… was it necessary to make it long the entire song? i think the second part which repeats is entirely useless. Easy chart is really well done :) But still would greatly benefit from a cut. One little note: measure 25 needs something to accent the sudden lack of sound. Also i noticed a particular sound which may need more attention starting at measure 43 and happening a bit around the song which could use a 16th minijack to be highlighted. It feels like it's missing right now…

620. weed circulation - edit it
621. ??? what is this song? audio quality is pretty shitty, is it the only one you can find? first part seems very off and i'm not sure if the vocals were synced correctly, and in some parts they are entirely missed! this needs a more accurate stepping and taking a bit of advantage from the song's instrumental part even in the early sections of the chart. Towards the end the patterns get better, which makes me think this could be accepted with a good revision.

623. 4.5 - rejected

629. clumsy thoughts - accepted

631.
632. cross galaxy - resubmit with major changes
633. the oni chart is mostly too empty with a few combo breaker parts which are substantially harder than anything else. Pitch relevancy is often wrong and layering choices especially in the beginning are very questionable. If you do easier difficulties for this, just go for a full and accurate layering for oni (always making sure to not overdo it). Song is pretty cool and offers much more than what you did. Heavy chart is again not balanced and suffers from the same problems as above, plus the horrible pitch relevancy is far more noticeable considering you follow less sounds. You can make the easier parts a bit more dense with some bass layering and plese, no 32nds. Especially the trill one. Just no. Balance the chart out and check your sounds better. Take advantage of other melodies in the background. Standard chart is pretty much the same, it's very obvious you did nothing but removing arrows from the oni into the two easier charts - which is pretty bad… try again cause this song is cool and would be a nice one for the pack.
634.
635. Melody circus - resubmit with changes
636. The arrows go to the music, there are some layering mistakes but not many of them, the real problem i have is pitch relevancy. The melodies are not accented as they should by the position of the arrows. As a result the file doesn't flow very well, and it could use a bit more layering in the hardest difficulty. Personally i'd consider a cut too, it drags a bit too much even if the melody varies.
637.
638. Easy chart suffers from a problem i already noticed in many other easy charts, that is imbalance. You simplify things too much in certain areas only to then add in some dumb difficulty spikes with patterns that don't feel natural to someone who is a stepmania amateur, like a bunch of jumps all at the same time or color notes with one handed based patterns. This file has potential to improve, the song is very nice and i think it can be accepted with some fixes. Pay more attention to the music and be careful when to accent something and when to follow the main melody only.
639.
640. Mirror mirror - resubmit with very major changes
641. let's just start saying that making all vocals holds in this song is a horrible idea. You don't seed that many difficulties and the oni chart is overloaded with jumpstream for a song that sounds as soft as this. It feels unnatural and annoying. Pitch relevancy is off and most streams feel very freeform and random, sorry. Check the sync: this file needs a major revision on both layering, sync and pitch relevancy, but the song has the potential to make a good file. And PLEASE do not just subtract arrows for easier difficulties. Think about how you can make use of the bigger space you have when you tone down the layering.
642.
643. po pi po kkkkk huehue japanese shit - resubmit with major changes
644. a jumpstream so dense for a song like this is just stupid as fuck and feels nothing like playing the song. Choose better what to follow and how you want to follow it and do it tastefully. Needs at least an easier chart too.
645.
646. rain - accepted with minor fixes (and anoter chart)
647. this file is short and sweet, and the chart is just what you'd expect from a song like this, however especially towards the end it gets very repetitive, and a small variation while maintaining recurring patterns would drastically improve replay value for this one. And of course, needs an easier difficulty.
648.
649. shanghai flight - probably accepted with fixes
650. i would like to see this file with a bit more jacks, as the melody feels more like a bunch of jacks, and less freeform patterns. It's nice to have a pattern scheme to go for each segment, it gives a much better feeling of simulation. I don't think the subtle sound you used for these holdbacks justifies their usage, and it kinda breaks the flow of the entire file. The file per se is already pretty easy, once fixed i don't think it would need an easier chart. get on it :)
657. weed circulation
658. m1-3 a lot of the notes are early by 1/32nd, for example all of the holds should fall exactly on a 1/4th note
659. m12 and m14 the 24ths should be 32nds
660. there are a lot of ghost notes and missed vocals throughout the file
661. i would suggest setting the bpm to 120 so the notes are 16ths and it'll be easier to notice patterns in the song
662.
663. Clumsy thoughts
664. - m25 & m27 i would tone down the mine usage here slightly as i don't think holds & hands together with mines make a good combination in an easy file
665. - everywhere else mine usage seems ok, i would personally tone it down in a few spots like m22 just a little but i can't say for sure that it's overly difficult as it is
666. - m43 pretty sure these 24ths should be 16ths
667. - the percussion is mostly stepped as 192nds which is a way to emphasize it with color but in actuality most of the hits are 48th flams so stepping them like that would be an alternative way to emphasize them with color, i think either is fine

672. 5ive STAR (valor)
673. I didn't like the 7 repetative measures near the beginning and neither how the chart died down at measure 25 when it was about to pick up. The jacks were noticably harder than anything else in the file, which makes the chart feel unbalanced in difficulty. Just vry it up and it should be okay.
674.
675. Blah Blah Blah (moches)
676. Heavy & Standard- It's good, however there are a few issues:
677. Measure 4's Gallop seems unnessecary.
678. Measure 9's a little cluttered. Maybe tone down the mines and get rid of the green notes. On standard, the notes feel akward since more of them ar eon the left hand.
679. Measure 16's difficulty spike is the densest part of the song and it comes right before the chorus, what feels like the climax.
680. The previous complaints carry over into the second loop, which makes it obvious you copy/pasted.
681. The mines at measure 28 stick out in a section devoid of them and there's no real reason for them in the song.
682. The chart could have ended at the random rapper section.
683. Standard felt like a lazy edit of Heavy.
684.
685. This could be nice, but it'll need a lot of work.
686.
687. Clumsy thoughts (bmah)
688. Heavy & Standard - Those 24ths feel like overkill. Maybe replace them with holds? Please? I can't read Heavy's 69th measure.
689. All in all I think that the song's high bpm would require you the understep this. :<
690. EDIT: Checked out Light. Seems as though you only left in the holds from the harder difficulties. Put some more in since the vocals you don't emphasize feel left out.
691.
692. Information Leak (danceguy)
693. I had a few initial doubts, such as a few bursts and it's repetativness, but measure 85 was a bad move for a pack of easy files.

705. Heavy - A good chart but it's too hard.

707. Light - Feels like a lazy edit of Standard.

725. Roxas
726. overall, this chart is lacking in structure. PR is underutilized a lot throughout the chart. especially for a song like this, PR is a lot more noticable because every note is very explicit. if you want more info about what kind of PR you could use, PM me
727. @ 46.157 - you have multiple of these piano chords that you have layered. some of them aren't layered though, like @ 45.661, @ 49.926, and @ 50.420 (weed). this happens repeatedly, but i'm not going to point out every spot
728. @ 94.563 - missing jump
729. @ 102.756 - you should probably make hands where the low piano notes are layered in, these are very heavy chords
730. @ 122.493 - should be in the same column, sound repeats
731. @ 133.745 - same as @ 102.756
732.
733. Po Pi Po Kouka de Uchi no Miku wa Kyou mo Genki Desu
734. @ 3.121 - should be a [13] jump on the 16th, no jump on the 8th
735. @ 5.743 - i'd make this a minijack, you have it stepped as such later on
736. @ 7.736 - for consistency sake, perhaps make the 16th a [13] jump and the 8th a [24] jump
737. @ 18.540 - this section could use some kind of accenting, that sound is really jarring
738. @ 46.652 - minijack should be on the 4th note, not the 8th note
739.
740. Melody Circus - Heavy
741. @ Beginning - i think you could improve your PR here a bit without losing much of anything. for example, the 4th...
742. @ .650 - could be on 1 instead of 2, the 12th...
743. @ .942 - could be on 2, the 12th jump...
744. @ 1.380 - could be [24] instead so you can make the 4th note on 3. these changes would make a lot more sense with what is going on in the music IMO. Try to think about these kinds of slight PR fixes throughout your file
745. @ 2.402 - these vocal samples could utilize miniholds or color theory to differentiate them from the main synth melody. same with the ones @ 5.905 etc.
746. @ 5.467 - another PR mismatch, should be on 1
747. @ 13.496 - phantom 12th note
748. @ Your freeze usage - think about how long these sustain notes are in general. you should slow the music down to a slower speed and listen to how long the sustain is and make your freezes match in length. the freeze will feel more weighty, as they should be, if you do this
749. @ 48.387 - 52.767 , you stopped using freezes in this section? why?
750. @ 55.540 - this burst pattern could be PRed better the follow the music, it isn't quite a straight ascend
751. @ 56.416 - phantom 12th
752. @ 57.584 and 63.715 - missing note
753. @ 76.416 - try to pattern this jumpglut so everything is descending, it will make more sense with the music imo
754. @ 199.482 - what are these jumps being layered to? no matter what you are layering it to, whether it is the percussion or vocals, you have a jump too many or missing a jump
755.
756. Mirror Mirror - Oni
757. @ many sections of your chart - when this kind of color note usage starts to happen starts to happen, it's better to increase or decrease the bpm to compensate for it. nothing changes in the song to warrant the use of 192nds and 64s, so quantize them to 4ths and 8ths instead
758. @ 10.599 - this gallop is fine, and doesn't need to be quantized
759. @ 17.715 - i would modify this to use a different pattern to compensate there being 5 notes that ascend instead of 4. for example, use 13234 instead of 12342. after that, you can make the next 3 notes 234 and the corresponding pitches will match a lot better
760. @ 34.828 - this freeze is ambiguous. you have freezes for the vocals, but now you have one for a piano sustain. make sure you are using freezes consistently, or else your chart will get really cluttered
761. @ 35.695 - you should make this 2 because it is the same pitch as the piano note before it
762. @ 36.527 - make this 3 to comensate if you make the previous note 2
763. @ 38.227 - not sure why this is a double freeze. the vocals just increase in volume, the aren't harmonized with anything. if it is for the piano, again, ambiguous use of freezes. i don't know why the freeze on 1 lasts for so long either, the vocal note dies out a full beat for this
764. @ 89.027-96.116 - you might want to slow this down and listen to it again. quite a few misrhythms and phantom notes
765. @ 147.617 - missing 16th note and 8th note that shouldn't be a hand
766.
767. Shanghai Flight
768. Offset could be slightly improved to -.155
769. @ 35.812 - these 16th notes should jumps since you have all of these bass hits as jumps before this. if you leave them as single notes, it makes this a lot harder to hit.
770. @ 37.184 - this should be a [13] jump because you it is a snare hit, not as bass drum hit, so you should differentiate it as such
771. @ 37.784 - missing 32nd?
772. @ 48.155 and 70.098 etc. - don't put holds this close together, it makes it so much harder to read and hit than it should be. you should make these a 16th and possibly a 32nd apart, not a 192nd apart.
773. @ 61.012 and 63.755 etc. - you should layer this to the percussion imo
774. @ 80.384 - should use miniholds either, would give these wubs more character
775.
776. Rain
777. @ Your freezes - please don't make your freezes end that closely before the next note, it makes your file unnecessarily harder to read and hit.
778. @ 13.321 - the 16th to bass note makes sense, and i don't disagree with it, but how come at 13.953, you don't step these ones? i'm not quite sure i understand
