Botania Intro Text Contest
Rewards: Your text in the game, credited ingame, as well as a Rosa Arcana head flower.
Objective: To create a text that will be the very first page in the Lexica Botania. This text will introduce the player to the mod, as well as what they're playing. It should mention that the mod is fully playable and automatable on its own and try to indirectly nudge the player to not take the easy way out with SFM, for example.
Deadline: 30/5/2015 - 21:00 UTC (London, Lisbon time), I'm short on time because of exams so it's a short one.
Guidelines:
- No mods other than Botania itself may be mentioned in the text.
- The text will not be a tutorial, as tutorials ingame already exist. It should, however, guide the player towards checking out the tutorials.
- The text can be as long as you want, but keep in mind that this will be a new player's first interaction, so keep it simple, stupid.
- A mention of the following sentence (may be changed as much as you need, as long as the meaning remains): "Botania's name is deceptive, as the mod does not focus solely on flora. Instead, you will encounter all sorts of themed techno-magical devices and gadgets that will help you both create contraptions or sling powerful abilities."
- The text can be spoken in any person or narrative type you want, since it will be out of context from the rest of the book.
- No overly complex language, again, keep it simple, stupid.
- Breaking the fourth wall is fine.
- Mention the target demographic (people who enjoy building cool automated systems that require thought), but in a way that shows the mod is not only for those people.
- Use common sense.

Submit your entries through reddit (/u/vazkii) with a link to a pastebin (or other text sharing service) with your text as well as your minecraft username. If your username is inappropriate, it will be changed slightly in the book to fit better, but I'll consult you if that's the case.
