- Harbingers: Bulwarks
- > ENFF 23rd regional command
- > An average unit with around three-hundred men
- > The assessment division has been antsy lately
- > Some theme park called skettie land has opened recently
- > Lots of pets and strays have gathered towards the park but you don't see the problem
- > So the local fluffies gather in one place
- > Makes your job easier
- > You are the unit commander for the ENFF-E23 Bulwarks
- > You used to be a demolition and construction worker
- > Rather than close the company and sell the vehicles you offered your services to ENFF
- > The Cleveland based unit already had one dozer but your vehicles created a fleet
- > Your tactics of mobile walls worked well in the city setting
- > Masses of fluffies boxed in and crushed by vehicles
- > Woodchippers are also widely employed
- > The themepark calls in your chippers more than anyone
- > Recently you haven't been deployed outside the city
- > Huge herds are stopped on the city edges in culdesacs, parks, and parking lots
- > But, so far no large herds have penetrated your defenses
- > You can understand those who see the mountian of spaghetti want to run to it
- > But, herds as far as the next county in all directions are drawn towards it
- > The A boys even claim some herds travel over state lines to reach the theme park
- > Crazy
- > Fluffies can't even survive in familiar territory
- > How are they migrating?
- > Where do they even find out about skettie land?
- > Well, it's not your job to trak ponies
- > You crush them
- > Driving your fleet of vehicles out towards a city park with a herd nearing 1000 resting there
- > You ride in the compactor roller with two agents on the sides
- > Behind you a truck carrying parking barracades
- > And a van with your agents taking up the rear
- > You arrive and are half way through walling off exits to the park when a call comes in
- > "E23! E23! Emergency situation! Several megaherds have combined and are making their way into the Cleveland area!"
- "What are you talking about? Where is this herd?"
- > "It's not just a herd, it's several dozen megaherds!"
- "Well where are they coming from calm down man!"
- > "They aren't coming from one direction they're headed from all sides! There are thousands and rising!"
- > Damint, what was the A company doing?!
- > "It'll be a few days till they arrive in the Cleveland area if they move at a reasonable pace."
- "Okay, so what's the plan this is way beyond the scope of our unit alone"
- > "We've contacted ENFF 1, 3, 7, 11, 14, 22, 24, and 31 their agents are on their way now"
- > "We have to secure the area until they arrive"
- "Okay I'll pull my men back from this job"
- "We need to prepare city wide defenses"
- > "We'll get D team on coordinating with the local authorities and contact the national guard"
- > The next few days are agonizing
- > Local authorities laugh at the threat of fluffy pony invasion
- > The national guard is also unwilling to respond
- > "Just do your jobs and cull them while they are in the woods"
- > Even your fellow devisions are unwilling to respond
- > "Look, if you guys in the 23rd unit can't handle a few ponies then you should hire new help."
- > You have few options
- > You decide to attempt to kill the maximum number while you are able to operate
- > Field agents are employed en' mass to stall the onslaught as much as they can
- > The E team exterminators even the A team scouts, C team cleanup crews, and the B team trainees are sent into the fray
- > For two solid days tens of thousands of ponies are slain
- > It doesn't even decrease the hoard by a trickle
- > The A teams are getting sacked for this
- > They got too lazy and let the activity in the fields outside the city go unchecked
- > Over 250,000 fluffies have been confirmed
- > An estemated 750,000 are within a days travel of skettie land
- > That place is gonna be ground zero in less than 24 hours
- > Field agents are pulled back and all men are deployed in the surroundings of skettie land
- > The park manager is less than pleased that 300 men in exterminator uniforms and a fleet of dozers, rollers, and vehicles are deployed in the parking lot
- > You try to warn him
- > It's to no avail
- > Even now there are more strays here than usual
- > Within the hour the baracades are set up at the entrances
- > Agents are instructed to hold the tide while they evacuate
- > Then you see them
- > A swarm of screaming crying fluffies are running down the street
- > "Fwuffy suu happy! Skettie wand wight hewe! Fwuffy make it!"
- > They are literally crying with joy
- > The hell they'll face as they encounter the barracade will change that
- > The men behind the waist high concrete walls are armed with various construction implements
- > Some have fire hoses waiting to fire
- > The vehicles are positioned to run around the park fence crushing all in their path
- > Then the fluffies hit the barracade
- > All hell breaks loose
- > They paw at the concrete practically rubbing their hooves raw and screaming to be let through
- > "FWUFFY HEWE WET IN! WAN SKETTIE! WAN FUN! WET IN NOW NOWWWW! NEEEEAAA!"
- > They're screaming and tantruming as the hoses are turned on them
- > Dozens are torn to shreds as the powerful sprays send fluff flying across the street
- > Waterlogged bodies slam into brickwork and lamp posts shattering and leaving fluffy caracases on the walls
- > Those who get too close to the wall are begining to pile up
