Homework: use your outline to write a short essay (one paragraph for each reason) to explain your opinion and your reasons for it. Email me at gmalivuk@staffordhouse.com and I’ll print it for you.

In pairs:

Read your partner’s paper and:
- Identify the main idea/thesis statement (what is their overall opinion?)
- Identify the reasons (how many reasons? what transition signals?)
- Identify the examples (what transition signals? facts or opinions?)
Then write an outline of your partner’s writing.

Compare your outline to the one your partner wrote yesterday.

Work together to find and fix mistakes.
