- Brave Style:
- -hold Y to get into Brave Stance
- -hitting monsters and evading using Brave Stance fills the blue Brave gauge (take note you still take damage in the form of red health if you evade the monster using the Stance)
- -using attacks during the Stance fills up your bar faster
- -filling up the bar turns it red and you can do some cool shit I guess
- Alchemy:
- -hitting monsters fills the Barrel gauge (in item list) and form 5 red pips above your name
- -gauge also fills up automatically but extremely slowly
- -use X pips to shake the barrel X times, producing different items

- Alchemy ration - recovers your stamina
- Alchemy whetstone - sharpens your weapon along with Hunter's Drink effect
- (Gunners) Alchemy ammo/coating - loads the thing with Hunter's Drink effect

- Alchemy immunizer - gives you regenerating health for a short period of time
- Alchemy sonic bomb - the barrel shoots out a sonic bomb after a period of time

- Alchemy earplugs - disposable earplugs (auto applied upon forming)
- Alchemy weed - speeds up your pip charging and barrel animations
- 4 times:
- Alchemy crystal - combine this item with other items to give it additional effects
- Alchemy Bazooka - the barrel fires a cannonball in an arc
- 5 times:
- Alchemy portable smoke bomb - immediately fills up a large portion of your HA gauge or prowler support gauge, works in a small AoE
- Healing barrel - walk around with a barrel that gives regenerative HP to you and your fellow hunters, ending with a big poof that heals everyone by a big amount and remove any statuses (also can be done with button press)

- Brave:
- -cannot draw into charged slash
- -Press Y > X to do a Focus charged slash
- -no super swing after a jumping attack (it becomes a slap)
- -you cannot combo into the X slash from any attack except neutral and from Brave stance
- -cannot combo any attack from the X slash either
- -side roll now combos into slap instead of horizontal swing
- Y > A to do horizontal swing
- Red Brave bar:
- -draw into Focused strong charge
- -neutral X is now a strong charge
- -tapping A while charging will make you hop forward and cover some distance before landing the hit
- -can combo slash > slap > back to slash again
- Alchemy:
- -cannot combo into strong charge from slap
- -you can't combo strong charge from horizontal swing
- -you combo into the super swing ender instead
- -can combo into X+A, but you cannot start with X+A
- -no super swing after a jumping attack (it becomes a slap), pressing A does nothing

- -can only do sideways fadeslash from Stance (Y > X+A)
- -spirit combo gets no ender, therefore no 3 levels of gauge

- -can fade slash normally now
- -pressing R will do a parry move before starting the actual spirit combo on the next press
- -gauge color is now blue when bar is full
- -push a direction during the second attack of the spirit combo to run forward a little before attacking (not pushing keeps you there)
- -Y > R skips the parry move and moves it to the first spirit slash
- Alchemy:
- -XXAAA combo is now XXXXX infinite combo

- -can do the same with Y > X
- -X+A during a combo to do a devilish dance (consumes stamina)
- -the start of your run (or tap R) has a "guard point" where you do a spin2win if properly countered
- -running into a ledge or scooting into it does the helicopter spin2win
- Alchemy:
- -(while in Demon mode) cannot combo into forward slash after first spin attack
- -you don't get spin2win even after getting archdemon mode

- -no golfswing in triple poud combo
- -Y > A for side pound (also available on its own by pressing A)
- -Y > X for a strong hook (it's not a golf swing)
- -charge only goes to Level 2 (uppercut)
- -cannot combo into TP from Level 1 swing

- -charge attacks are key
- -Focused charging
- -you can evade while charging, but only once and only at the startup of the charging animation
- -can combo into TP from Level 1 now
- -a consecutive charge (charge again after the attack is done) changes the attack
- -(2nd charge) Lv1 is uppercut, Lv2 is strong uppercut
- -(3rd charge) Lv1 is fast superpound, Lv2 is mini Spinning Meteor

- -special attack alternates between Notes 2 (poke) and 1 (forward slam)
- -you can do the Stance from Recital mode

- -cannot combo two Note 2s from mashing A [you need to press A (swing) then press Special (poke), the other way doesn't work]
- -X button will always do left swing first (Y > X for forward slam)
- -X+A will always do superpound first (Y > X+A for backswing)

- -Sword mode has no double slash, Y > A in Sword to do so
- -Y > X in Sword to do an up-slash

- -infinite dashes in axe mode
- -normal transforms mid-combo can now be done
- -1080° spin slash ender for Axe Mode is back

- Alchemy:
- -Axe can transform to Sword from forward lunge and overhead chop attacks
- -pressing A after overhead chop turns it into Sword as well
- -X-X-X on Sword transforms it back to Axe automatically
- -A-A combo on Sword is sideslash-doubleslash combo
- -pressing X after any move here transforms it back to Axe
- -reloading in an axe combo does the Energy Charge animation, allowing you to immediately continue attacking with Sword
- -unsheathe reload (RXA) does the same thing
- -Note: reloading while neutral does the normal animation

- Brave:
- -No charged slash for sword mode
- -Y > A to do charged slash
- -Y > R to change into Axe mode
- -GPs have been removed from CB's usual GPs
- Red Brave bar:
- -shield buff is blue
- -evades in Sword mode have GP
- -you can transform normally now
- -you can use charged slash, but only after shield thrust
- -phial load into axe is Burst2 now
- -Burst3 is now a 3-hit attack, you can keep chaining B2 and B3 together via [A•••] combo
- -you can still use AED/SAED at any point in this combo
- -Using SAED will not lose the shield buff
- Alchemy:
- -no shield thrust
- -X+A just loads and charges shield (yellow) a la Guild Style
- -to get red shield, charge from Axe mode

- -pressing R (shooting the pheromone), pressing A or doing any aerial attack makes the kinsect attack at the same time
- Alchemy:
- -can't charge your kinsect
- -no backflip
- -cannot fire the marker in mid-air
- -stationary combo is XX(ender) instead of XXX

- Brave:
- -no backhops or sidesteps
- -Y > X to do a strong reload for bullets that help fill your bar faster
- Red Brave Bar:
- -backhop and sidesteps are back
- -every backhop/sidestep also fires internal bullets
- -you can do this up to 3 times, the 3rd times it fires multiple bullets
- Alchemy:
- -no major change as far as I can tell, just shoot fucking bullets
- <<Heavy Bowgun>> ~HBG
- Brave:
- -no siege mode
- -Y > X to do a strong reload for bullets that help fill your bar faster
- -immediately press X after evading an attack with the Stance to keep your weapon unsheathed through a roll
- -never worry about the long animation again!
- Red Brave bar:
- -siege mode now possible
- -seige mode will increase in firing speed the longer you hold A
- -you can now run a limited distance by holding B (does not consume stamina)
- -tap B during the run to do a slide (pulling away and tapping B makes you roll)
- -you can go into siege mode from the slide
- -you can hold B doing the slide to continue running (once again, does not consume stamina)
- Alchemy:
- -no siege mode(!)
- <<Bow>>
- Brave:
- -backhop from neutral
- -no power shot nor arc shot
- -Y > R for a stronger shot (with the arc shot arrow?)
- -press A while charging to do a backhop
- Red Brave bar:
- -now you can do power shot twice
- -You can do one more strong shot after a Stance-Shot
- -backhop twice into a Lv1 charge (?!)
- Alchemy:
- -no strong shot
- -backhop twice into a Lv1 charge (why)
