Asuka Birthday 2

It was Asuka's birthday party and all of Hanzo squad had come together to arrange a celebration. The family sushi restaurant was considered neutral ground and wouldn't be too much of trouble to borrow for a night which made it an ideal location to host a party. Ikaruga took on the role as hostess, her regal demeanour made her ideal for the role. The other girls also hoped that with her being hostess they'd actually get time to enjoy the party.

Hibari took care of the cake and snacks. Her avid love of sugar proved useful when it came time to pick a cake Asuka would love. Katsuragi took it upon herself to arrange entertainment, and she turned out to be a huge fan of karaoke. She claimed she'd light up the night. Lastly, Yagyuu suggested that she be the bouncer. Being shinobi their party might attract unwanted guests. It turned out she was right.

Miyabi and Hebijo's elite team made an unexpected entrance. Miyabi entered and cast a present and card at Asuka's feet 'Take this meagre pittance and enjoy celebrating your last day on this earth because Miyabi will soon smite you and your goodie-two-shoes shinobi-' Her monologue was cut off when Yagyuu grabbed her by the scruff of the collar and dragged her outside 'Hey! I'm not finished! You must all know of the doom that awaits you!' Yagyuu threw Miyabi out and she landed on her rear. Imu frantically protested at her leaders treatment but Murasaki seemed pleased, as though she was free to go back home.

'Well we can stay right? You're not going to be a bitch and throw us out too?' Ryoubi scowled at Yagyuu. Ryouna went with the flow and squatted to beg like a puppy.

Yagyuu simply gave Ryoubi a blank stare 'Is your dog house-trained?' She pointed at Ryouna.

'Well she behaves most of the time.' Ryoubi spluttered.

'Not good enough.' Yagyuu pushed Ryoubi and Ryouna to the door and ignored their objections.

With the riff-raff gone the party could continue. Just before it was time for cake the renegade Crimson Squad and Gessen elite team both arrived at the same time. It caused a stir and Yagyuu was convinced she'd be needed again but Asuka told her to settle down. The room was now divided with Gessen and Crimson shooting angry glances at each other, except for Minori who tried to bait Hikage into a game of tag.

In order to save the party Asuka called over Yumi and Homura. Both were dressed up for the occasion and Yumi couldn't help but remark at Homura's appearance 'That's quite a dress, I don't think I've ever seen you wear pink before.' Yumi gave Homura a smirk 'It's so girly.'

'I guess you could say I'm pretty in pink' Homura grinned 'I saved up for months just to look good for this party.'

Yumi stifled a laugh 'Oh, so you do have a crush on Asuka?'

Homura turned as pink as her dress 'What!? A girl can't look nice?'

'Well if you're not in love with her than you won't mind if I borrow her. We have a lot of catching up to do.' Yumi took Asuka's arm and lead her over to the Gessen table.

'Wait just a minute!' Homura raced over and snatched Asuka's other arm and pulled in the opposite direction. 'I was her friend first! She should hang out with me!'

'You're a bad influence! She shouldn't be around dregs like you!' Yumi growled. The two jostled back and forth and bickered over who would get Asuka. They were about ready to split Asuka down the middle.

'Hold on!' Asuka cried out 'You're both friends of mine! And it's my birthday, I can spend it with whoever I want to!'

Homura was the first to give in and let go of Asuka 'You're right.'

Yumi followed and Asuka was free to move once more. With that little squabble ended the mood of the party lightened up and the girls from Hanzo, Gessen and Crimson intermingled. Minori got her game of tag but it only lasted five minutes before she got told off for running indoors. Minori and Hikage looked down for a while until Hibari offered to share some candy. Yomi and Yozakura even took it upon themselves to help Ikaruga host and a table with Murakumo, Shiki and Mirai convinced Yagyuu to drop her bouncer duty to sit down and chat. Haruka got chased away from the kitchen.

It came time for the cake and the lights dimmed. Asuka was brought over to her seat and encircled by all of her friends who sang her "Happy Birthday." The candles flickered and begged to be blown out but Asuka took her time with her wish and with a single puff she blew out the candled and everyone applauded. Katsuragi used the opportunity to sneak behind Asuka and right as the lights came on she gave the birthday girl the "traditional" birthday grope 'Happy birthday!'
