+VoteGreen __ People who fish are literally hunting, catching, and then slaughtering animals for their own consumption. Fishing is a common activity and _very_ hands on! There are many television shows dedicated to fishing as a recreation and a sport. Many people around the world participate in fishing competitions. Despite this, many who fish would have no problem accepting that fish are sentient and intelligent animals, capable of experiencing pain and suffering, and don't want to die (given that they resist or flee when threatened). So while I understand the point you are making, I don't think it would necessarily create more vegans, but perhaps more pescetarians!
