  1. >It was a quiet night tongiht, he thought to himself as he walked home from work
  2. >Once the graduate of a Hunter training school, he failed to pass the entrance exams to the academies around the kingdoms, and now found himself working private security for a local business
  3. >But it wasn't all bad; he made a good income, had a nice home, and he was expecting his first child with his beautiful wife
  4. >But things weren't always that great
  5. >Tensions were high between humans and faunuses, but as it was the case with him and his wife, love can always overcome
  6. >Or so he thought
  7.
  8. >He turned the last corner on his walk home, only to look up his street to find police cars outside his home
  9. >His heart raced as he ran up to the scene, but it was too late
  10. >He ran to the nearest cop and begged him to tell him what happened
  11. >The cop refused at first, but when he was told this was the man's house, he frowned and puts his hand on his shoulder
  12. >"I'm so sorry."
  13. >The words hit the man harder than a cannon
  14. >Apparently a group of racial purists had broken in and killed his wife
  15. >They were ruling it a hate crime, but it was likely it wouldn't get very far, since she wasn't human
  16. >Odds are, whoever did it would get away
  17. >The cop was sorry, but it was just how things were
  18.
  19. >It's been a couple days now, but the pain would never go away
  20. >He stopped going into work, and people were outside his house chanting things like "Keep the races pure!" or "Stop the discrimination!" day in and day out
  21. >It wasn't helping
  22. >Eventually, he tried to sleep one night, only to be woken by the sound of his bedroom door being forced open
  23. >He woke with a start, "Who's there?" he asked, sitting up
  24. >A red haired man wearing a black suit stood in the doorway, his eyes hidden behind a mask
  25. >".. So, do you think just laying here being miserable will bring her back? Do you think that it will avenge her?"
  26. >"Avenge her?"
  27.
  28. >"Do you think she'd want you to mope about while her killers roam free? How many other innocent people are you going to let them kill? You could change the world if you wanted. All you have to do is join me, join the White Fang."
  29. >".. The White Fang? But, I'm not a Faunus."
  30. >"But you loved one. You're the kind of human we need on our side. You're strong enough to make an impact. Join us."
  31. >"But.. Isn't the White Fang a radical group of Faunus? I doubt they'll accept me."
  32. >The man hands him a mask, similar to the one he wore
  33. >"Not if you're wearing this."
  34. >He also hands him a piece of paper with an address
  35. >"I'll be waiting.. Oh, and you have about 5 minutes."
  36. >He looks down at the the paper, "5 minutes?"
  37. >Looking up, he finds himself alone once more
  38.
  39. >That was odd, but apparently time was ticking; to what, he did not know
  40. >He looked at the mask in his hand and put it on before turning to his closet
  41. >It had been a while since he had used his old Huntsman weapon, as his job supplied their own weapons
  42. >He looked for a few minutes before pulling out a massive chainsaw
  43. >He smiled under the mask before the sound of a group entering his house hit his ears
  44. >They moved quickly through the house, and stopped in his doorway, as the stranger earlier had
  45. >"There he is! Let's put this filth down before he can drag any more filth into this town!"
  46. >The chainsaw buzzed to life in his hands
