The Volk iNview is an iPhone application and optical lens attachment that together allows a doctor to capture images of the retina. The iNview is Volk’s first smartphone based product and the first handheld smartphone product in the market to offer an industry standard field of view of the retina (a 45 degree field of view).

The product was released in November in time for the world’s largest Ophthalmology tradeshow, the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) after a rapid development period of 7 months. The product launch was extremely successful with $100K of sales within the first four days.
