  1. I know these might seem like odd sets, and my whole team is home-made. I got some feedback from my tutor via PM on Smogon because we haven't actually met on PO yet. They told me to try making my own sets, and so I did. I went on the Pokemon's page on Smogon, and clicked on moves, only getting reference from there, not from their set recommendations page. The things that have a slash (/) I would like you to say which one you'd like, because I'm not quite sure which I do.
  2.
  3. Hazard Setter Lead- Deoxys-D
  4. Supporter- Ninetales
  5. Core #1- Lapras
  6. Core #2- Heatran
  7. Bulky Sweeper- Kyurem-B
  8. Sweeper- Exeggudork
  9.
  10. Deoxys-D @ Leftovers
  11. Pressure
  12. 252 HP / 224 Def / 32 SpD
  13. Bold Nature
  14. -Spikes
  15. -Stealth Rock
  16. -Thunder Wave
  17. -Taunt
  18.
  19. Deoxys-D is my set-up lead, with 2 forms of hazards that hit both Pokemon on the ground of in the air. Thunder Wave is to cripple any switch-ins like Gengar that try and Shadow Ball me away. After they switch into a T-Wave, I can Taunt them considering they don't switch, so their SubDisable combo will be Disabled (if you get my joke). If they do switch, I can take a hit and cripple it too.
  20.
  21. Ninetales @ Shuca Berry
  22. Drought
  23. 224 HP / 28 Def / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
  24. Calm Nature
  25. -Hypnosis
  26. -Swagger
  27. -Substitute
  28. -Fire Blast
  29.
  30. Ninetales is here as my Sun setter and status inflictor. I have a choice of sleep of confusion, and I only use confusion on special attackers, not physical, because I don't like the risk of raising a physical attacker's attack to +2. Then, I use Substitute, and proceed to fire off sun-boosted Fire Blasts until something happens. Shuca Berry is for that darned ground move that it needs protection from.
  31.
  32. Lapras @ Leftovers
  33. Water Absorb / Hydration
  34. 96 HP / 24 Atk / 232 Def / 156 SpD
  35. Impish Nature
  36. -Curse
  37. -Ice Shard
  38. -Perish Song
  39. -Substitute
  40.
  41. This is the Pokemon I based this team off of. Vaporeon is great, but in my opinion Lapras is much bulkier, even though it's Ice type. It has a vast movepool, so I didn't know what to do with it. Then I saw it's acceptable 85 Attack stat and it's Defense stat and said, who needs speed if I'm a wall? So there's Curse. Of course that could make Ice Shard potentially dangerous which adds to it's awesomeness. Perish Song is for those Pokemon that set-up all day and try to sweep. Substitute is also handy once Curse has it's effect because physical attackers can't do crap to it. This set is like the opposite of SubCM Latias.
  42.
  43. Heatran @ Choice Specs
  44. Flash Fire
  45. 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
  46. Modest Nature
  47. -Fire Blast
  48. -Earth Power
  49. -Hidden Power [Ice]
  50. -SolarBeam
  51.
  52. I've heard rumors of the notorious Specs Heatran, supposedly it is really sweet, so I wanted to test it out for myself. Flash Fire also fits perfectly for the boosted Fire attacks my team will be taking. Modest nature because Heatran is slow anyways, and with a SpA that high, it's nice to maximize it. HP Ice hits Dragons for the kill, and SolarBeam is there because of Sun's effect on it.
  53.
  54. Kyurem-B @ Choice Scarf
  55. Teravolt
  56. 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
  57. Jolly / Adamant Nature
  58. -Outrage
  59. -Fusion Bolt
  60. -Dragon Claw
  61. -Stone Edge
  62.
  63. Ah, yes, the underdog of the Ubers that moved down to OU. Bad choice Smogon, because I'm rockin' the house with it! I'm not sure if I should use Jolly or Adamant Nature because not much outspeeds it with a Scarf and I like maximizing my offensive stats, but Speed really could save it's life a few times. Outrage hits even harder than Salamence with 170 Atk, practically KOing everything but Steel types, while Fusion Bolt and Stonce Edge are great with coverage. Dragon Claw is there in case I don't want to lock myself into Outrage.
  64.
  65. (Exeggudork) Exeggutor @ Life Orb
  66. Chlorophyll
  67. 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
  68. Timid / Modest Nature
  69. -SolarBeam / Giga Drain
  70. -Psyshock
  71. -Hidden Power [Fire]
  72. -Sleep Powder
  73.
  74. I have no idea why Exeggutor is not in OU. Venasaur outclasses it in some ways, yes, but Exeggutor has way more SpA and the moves to use it to it's advantage. I usually first try and put the enemy to sleep, then try and KO it with it's great variety of moves. SolarBeam gets power, but Giga Drain could give me the HP to overcome LO damage.
  75.
  76. So, that's my team. I hope you like it!
