  2. A.All humans are descended from one pair of ancestors, Anewaenyth and Gildwenden, who are also called Heaven and Earth. In those days, Heaven and Earth clung closely together, and all was darkness. Anewaenyth and Gildwenden had seven children: Daelyn, mother of song, music and humanity; Malthyra, matron of dark, death and rebirth; Aziraya, father of invention and flame; Yvonne, matron of fertility, motherhood and compassion; Thymestl, father of the seas and storms; Archaeous, father of war and chaos; and Qi’sa, mother of the sky and day. These seven children and all other beings lived in darkness for an extremely long time, able only to wonder what light and vision might be like.

  6. Finally the children of Heaven and Earth decided something must be done. Archaeous, the father of war, urged his siblings to slay their parents. However, Daelyn, the mother of humanity, argued that they should separate their parents, making Anewaenyth the distant sky over their heads and Gildwenden the earth close to them. After long debate, the siblings agreed to this plan, except for Thymestl, the father of the seas and storms, who was distraught at the idea of separating their parents. The other siblings nonetheless proceeded with their plan.

  9. Daelyn, mother to humanity, was the sibling chosen for the task of separating the sibling’s parents. Using her skilled magic of song, she and they fought for eons. The fierce battle almost destroyed all beings and creatures, for the love of their parents for each other was strong, it being what had created the universe. Finally, with one last song, Daelyn’s magic forced apart heaven and earth. And thus Lattacyr sprang forth, Daelyn’s child-by-magic. She brought with her birth light to illuminate the land, and love for every creature to feel.

  12. Daelyn, elevated by her siblings, became the new elder goddess, the one to advise and guide the others. Daelyn loved her daughter Lattacyr greatly, and wished to see her happy above all things. So Daelyn went to her brother Aziraya, and asked him to aid her. She began to sing and weave a song while Aziraya shaped the clays of his forge to the flow. When they were done and the song finished, the peoples of the world, humans, had been created. Daelyn, sanguine songstress, gave her creation to her beloved daughter.

  15. Lattacyr, overjoyed at the gift, filled the creations with love and innocence, animating them to form bonds, friendships and societies. The innocence made them curious in the ways of the realms. Malthyra, jealous, attempted to destroy the fragile humans, and cursed them with the scourge of death. She also bright the night to smother Lattacyr’s light and to frighten humanity. But Qi’sa, seeing the injustice in Malthyra, an elder goddess, fighting the younger and weaker Lattacyr, intervened. Every day, her shining sword sweeps aside the dark of night to bring back the day and Lattacyr’s light.

  18. Fatherly Aziraya also desired to aid Lattacyr, and taught humanity how to create fire, borrowing some of Lattacyr’s light to do so. The fire kept them warm in the night, and warded off Malthyra’s darkness. He also taught them how to forge tools to aid them in creating their homes and fighting the beasts the stalked the night. Despite these, humanity lacked joy, and seemed unhappy.

  21. Aziraya had been courting the beautiful Yvonne, and together they bonded. From their union, the god Keissi came into being. Yvonne, her compassion for fledgling humanity strong and Aziraya’s sharp mind had come together to create a god of humor and joy. This new and youthful god went forth and taught humans how to joke and laugh, and gave humanity its youthful energy.

  24. Archaeous disliked this ordering that was being given to humanity and the creatures of the realms. Sensing his displeasure, his sister Malthyra, still jealous, approached him with a plan. She whispered her dark words into his troubled mind, making a shadow form within. Archaeous now grew close to his sister Malthyra, and together they worked to upset humanity. Archaous and Malthyra whispered to the groups of humans in the night, making the different groups of people to become angered at others, and using Aziraya’s gift of tool making, intended for good, to kill and wound each other. And thus humanity learned the feeling of anger and how to wage war.
