- NovelReader (Spoiler):
- Lol.....sad divine beast, too bad no meat for Hajime. And Fried comes out now.

- borisdrakoni (Spoiler):
- It has the form of an enormous sea dragon, and they also call it Leviathan, so that should give a decent mental image. It also has some regenerative capabilities similar to the giant squid they fought in Merujine. Too bad it was a short chapter this week, but it was funny seeing Hajime chasing Leviathan around trying to make it into supper. Also, Schlaggen has been upgraded to a 4+ meter long, 88mm rail turret. Looking forward to the Freed beatdown starting next week.
- --------
- Haha, though not much happened, it was still rather amusing that
- El Rue (Spoiler):
- he finally found something "worthy" to be eaten again.
- The badly injured & traumatized divine god beast felt fear for the 1st time & fled rather quickly as it dived deeper into the sea, depriving Hajime of a meal & power-up.

- -- Chapter 170
- --------------------------------------------------------
- NovelReader (Spoiler):
- Fried and white dragon and 5 platinum apostles vs Shia and Tio. Hajime continued on to his beloved. Pretty good fight so far. Then round 2 is coming with Tio summoning 100 black dragons and Shia going to level 4.
- --------
- borisdrakoni (Spoiler):
- Hajime making fun of Fried's appearance after being apostle-ized is hilarious. Kind of wasted on him since the guy still doesn't do his own fighting. And of course, Tio's new weapon would be a whip...
- --------------------------------------------------------
- -- Chapter 171
- --------------------------------------------------------
- Yet another ridiculously long chapter, and an agonizing cliffhanger until next week. There was so much ground shattering action in this one, I thought I was reading DBZ for awhile.
- borisdrakoni (Spoiler):
- Hajime named Tio's whip "Black Slave Whip".... It has some nifty abilities like being able to stretch over three kilometers and can cut the space of whatever it touches. Tio can also use it in conjunction with an ability called Dragon King's Authority to transform demons she whips into a black dragon under her control(She purposefully adjusted the color of her dragons because anything other than black isn't suitable for the Maou Hajime.). Additionally she can use Dragon King's Gospel to both regenerate and lift her dragons' morale.
- Setting Tio aside, this was mainly a Shia chapter, and it was quite a fantastic fight. Platinum apostles are apparently about twice as strong as normal apostles due to Yue's magic. The author brought back stats again for this chapter, so the platinum apostles officially clock in at 22,000 for everything normal, 66,000 after being strengthened.
- Shia also has a few new abilities. Half-teleportation. Essentially phasing out of space making her immune to all attacks, it's only usable once due to consumption. Body transformation. Unlike Ryuutaro's ability that relies on magic stones, Shia can turn parts of her actual body into steel. Hair and blood manipulation.
- Sadly we have to wait another week to see if Tio can turn the tables on Fried.
- borisdrakoni (Spoiler):
- Haha, the others were giving Hajime some pointed looks when he handed the whip over to Tio seeing how well suited it was for a super masochist pervert.
- --------
- El Rue (Spoiler):
- It was an interesting battle chapter, Shia going magical bunny super saiyan & using new broken techniques was quite a sight.
- --------------------------------------------------------
- -- Chapter 172
- --------------------------------------------------------
- NovelReader (Spoiler):
- Tio vs Fried...epic battle.....and everyone's favorite idol returns.....
- --------
- Quite the awesome battle, and Tio finally gets to shine.
- borisdrakoni (Spoiler):
- A couple more new abilities of Tio:
- corpse dragon creation - can convert monsters she's killed into corpse black dragons(Hajime called it economical)
- dragon god form - looks like a gigantic Asian dragon and comes with a storm of fire and lightning. Downside is she had to get beaten nearly to death in order to transform into it.
- After Tio transforms Fried's mind pretty much breaks. Uranus loses half his body in one shot, though it still manages to cover Fried before they both get obliterated. Just before that we get a small glimpse of Fried beyond the fanaticism. He actually was a decent enough guy before the gods got involved, just too weak minded.
- At any rate, after meeting up with Shizuku and the others, the space around them breaks down due to Hajime's and Ehito's battle elsewhere. Then who should show up but........everyone's favorite Miledi-chan. Been wondering where she was. Well, next week should be fun.
- Incidentally, I'm kind of hoping we get a chapter or two of what's going on back on Tortus before the main event. Otherwise Kaori will be the only main heroine without an opportunity to shine.
- --------
- >> Originally Posted by Go0gleplex

- Close, but not quite.
- borisdrakoni (Spoiler):
- Combined Spirit-Transformation magic "Dragon God Manifestation": Requires Spirit magic "Magic Wearing Harmonization"(Spirit magic that clads the body in Spirit magic itself and tunes it), superlative fire and wind system magics "Conflagration Wave" and "Radiant Sky", Transformation magic "Demon Change", body strengthening medicine, Sublime magic, her characteristic magic "Dragonification", and derived magic "Sense of Pain Conversion II" all to be used simultaneously.
- Tio originally planned to use it as a trump card to assist Hajime with Ehito, but ended up having to use it on Fried since she was taking too much damage and he summoned more trash mobs than she could handle.
- --------------------------------------------------------
- -- Chapter 173
- --------------------------------------------------------
- Lol, well a short chapter this week since the author seemed to be having keyboard issues.
- borisdrakoni (Spoiler):
- The ground forces tear into the invading apostles with the mass of arms Hajime left behind. Hajime made an artifact that could lower the apostles specs by around 60% based the skill that had shut Kaori down before along with the hymn of the remaining church members. The apostles all have a hallucination of Hajime flipping them off. The Haulia's chuunibyou seems to be getting worse. Myuu joins the fray commanding the Demon Rangers remotely. [Heh] Hajime made an artifact called Last Seele(Last Soul) to let all of the soldiers use Limit Break. Looks like next week will conclude the ground forces' fight and then it will finally be time for the final battle.
- --------
- Short but action packed chapter. The backspace of the author's keyboard not working is but one of its problems huh.
- El Rue (Spoiler):
- The battle is basically like a mix of sci-fi & fantasy with a barrage of weapon fire taking out incoming apostles. Some of the weapons are barriers that can take on the Apostles decomposition ability, entrenched large gatling rail guns, AA missiles, several gravity generators to bring down airborne apostles, etc.etc.
- The knights like David (self proclaimed Aiko's knight) are armed with cheat class artifacts as well like defensive armaments with Vajra & high-speed vibration bastard swords. They're still having a tough time even with the debuffed apostles though.
- Cam goes full on chuuni like the rest of his clan with dark clothing & shades while spouting cheesy lines. They also do their forte & support & assassinate.
- The Emperor also shows his stuff as he & his troops are also given artifacts that enables them to use Limit-Break along with Hajime's enhancing food/drug stuff. Its still bad to overdo it but it does give them a bit of an edge.

- borisdrakoni (Spoiler):
- Haha, well if anyone is equal to, or perhaps even has the potential to surpass, Yue in regards to Hajime being unable to go against them, it's definitely Myuu. The funniest thing is that Remia is right there next to her, just "ara-ara"ing as usual. If this is her at four, Myuu's going to be absolutely terrifying when she grows up. Kind of wish for a time skip at the end just to get a glimpse of it.

- -- Chapter 174-175
- --------------------------------------------------------
- Huzzah for consecutive chapters. No wonder the author needed an extra week.
- borisdrakoni (Spoiler):
- Lots going on in this chapter. Ehito turned into Yue - adult form. Hajime made an army of golem terminators(wolf, eagle, turtle, and ape models) to fight against Ehito's infinite apostles. Hajime is still at a disadvantage in a straight up fight. Ehito revealed that it originally only wanted to summon Kouki as a potential vessel, and that Hajime and the rest of the class just happened to get caught up in it. Also confirmed that Ehito is not a true god, but a person from another world like them. Round 1 goes to Ehito.

- That reminds me, I forgot to include most of the toys he used this chapter.
- borisdrakoni (Spoiler):
- Golem army - Grim Reapers
- New cross bit squadron - Cross Verto(707 black crosses with red patterns etched onto them)
- Improved gatling gun - Metzelei Disaster
- Agni Orkan
- Gravity grenades
- Schlaggen AA
- Shield Ideon
- Incidentally, in the back and forth conversation Hajime hints that Deny All Existence is his final trump card, though Ehito seems to think that the concept magic he created to defeat Alv was Deicide. It'll be interesting if he gets to use that again, though I wonder if it'll be in a different form than chains this time.

- >> Agni Orkan - is that the macross missiles launcher?
- borisdrakoni (Spoiler):
- Cross Verto are more compact than the original cross bits. Among other things, they can fire burst bullets that shoot off shockwaves.
- Metzelei Disaster has six barrels about twice as large as the original Metzelei and can fire 72,000 rounds per minute.
- Yes, Agni Orkan is the beefed up missile launcher introduced several chapters ago.
- --------
- Extra tidbits:
- El Rue (Spoiler):
- Well, EhitoYue's not really a full adult but around 17, now imagine how she'll look when/if she really reached full adulthood. Hajime can't appreciate the goddess like form because of the circumstances.
- His Grim Reaper Golem troops were basically like:
- But with more monster variety, larger number, bigger size & heavily armed to the teeth with magitech weaponry.
- Hajime gets busted by a powerful Yue original spell that the bastard used against him. He also taunts him about Yue's soul's "last moments" of futile struggle he says.
- He really was looking for a vessel so that explains their summoning. Although he thanks Hajime for finding the perfect vessel he lost a few hundred year ago. (He really rubs it in)

- His giant six barreled gatling gun has six more smaller barrels for each. It's a heavy gunners wet dream.
- Although he pretty much lost a lot of his new toys on round 1 as the formula of the battles of late seems to be to be beaten around first then go counter harder.
- Well, round 2 tomorrow. I guess we'll see how he much pushes the god wannabe.
- --------
- borisdrakoni:
- The author has posted a new blog entry today too. After these four consecutive chapters of the final battle, the epilogue and conclusion of Arifureta will be next Saturday. It's been a long road, but now that the end is in sight it feels like it went by so quickly...
- He also mentions that illustrations for volume 2 will be showing up sometime in the near future, so there's that to look forward to as well.

- Ehito's situation is likely similar to Miledi's in that the original body just died out at some point. From the little background we were given this chapter (Spoiler):
- Ehito was a person from another world who had originally just reached the pinnacle of magic. His/her soul was sublimed and obtained a divine nature after numerous people's beliefs were gathered and is essentially indistinguishable from a god because so much time has passed. It seems like only certain bodies are suitable to become vessels, which is why Ehito didn't simply inhabit an apostle's body.

- --------------------------------------------------------
- Welp,
- NovelReader (Spoiler):
- godslaying doesn't work
- --------
- Round 2, Fight!
- borisdrakoni (Spoiler):
- Tons of exposition to go with the action as Ehito is quite chatty while she corners Hajime.
- Ehito's world was destroyed because they became too advanced. Ironically, the ones responsible were the only ones able to escape to the other world.
- Despite being able to live for thousands of years, Ehito's companions died off one by one finally leaving Ehito all alone. This is what led Ehito to want to toy with and destroy everything. The god is basically just another kid throwing a tantrum like Kouki who never learned no matter how much time passed.
- Humans were the only native race on Tortus. The Majin and demi-humans were both created by Ehito to evolve as potential vessels.
- The fight itself is still mostly one-sided in Ehito's favor. Hajime seems to turn it around for a bit using several new artifacts whose names I haven't totally figured out yet, but apparently in vain since there's no visible effect after Ehito is shot with the reforged Deicide bullet.
- --------
- El Rue:
- Ah, the same ol' tale of
- Spoiler:
- A being that wasn't originally a god turning god-like & then eventually getting corrupted & twisted after a long time.
- One of the problems with that is one's mind remains that of a mere mortal, one who grows weary or bored & ones simple emotional whims can lead to great disasters. Like may of us speculated, Ehito is basically like a Greek God, an overly powerful jerkass that needs a good beating.
- Taking a thorough beating then making a comeback. The usual formula so far, until the end that is.
- Also liked how one of the people he thought of that greatly influenced & is empowering him is Shizuku-chan~
- --------
- Hokoga:
- A new chapter is already up titled "Beloved Vampire Princess"
- --------

- Though it is kind of sad that Remia, Lily, and Altena were left out. I do sort of wish those three had received more development.
- Haha, and a surprise release. The author must be in a hurry to end this thing too.
- Hajime really gives new meaning to the idea of sacrificing your own body to obtain the W. The power of love really can overcome anything.....
- borisdrakoni (Spoiler):
- Just kidding. Sort of.
- Deicide was a red herring. What it actually did was help wake Yue up, give her some strength, and isolate her spirit from Ehito's.
- Next came his new concept magic, Blade of the Blood Contract, constructed from ore he had hidden in his own stomach. The concept it was made from was "Keep your hands off my woman", and acted to prevent Ehito from influencing Yue's soul while strengthening her further with his blood.
- Last was Bullet of the Blood Contract, firing it from a single shot gun he constructed from tiny metal particles he had been scattering in the air the entire fight. The concept it carries is the bond of "It's no good if you are not in this hand", which explosively strengthened Yue and made Ehito suffer quite a bit.
- So, Yue's now free again. Huzzah! Though Ehito's still not down for the count yet, and is quite upset, while neither Hajime nor Yue are in much of a condition to keep fighting.

- -- Chapter 178
- --------------------------------------------------------
- Hokoga:
- New chapter up titled "The World's Strongest in the Common Profession"
- --------
- NovelReader(Spoiler):
- Well, final battle ends. Epilogue this Saturday. Its nearly over.
- --------
- El Rue:
- Nice end to the battle. Who would've thought that "she" would be the one to actually close the curtains. Still, kinda' fitting after all she & her pals have been through...also made sense why only she was stayed around.
- Though hopefully in the LN version they at least show or foreshadow the stuff Hajime pulls out & creates a bit more even a little since it sometimes it can really be argued or seen as "deus-ex machina or ass-pully" so to speak. Well, at least its explained or justified somewhat.
- --------
- Well, for a penultimate chapter it was suitably epic.
- borisdrakoni (Spoiler):
- As things look grim, Hajime finally shot Ehito with a bullet of Deny All Existence, thanks to Yue using the Word of God(in the name of Yue!) to keep it from moving. Ehito still doesn't kick the bucket and turns into a miasma spouting Lovecraftian monster absorbing all the apostles and demonic beasts in the area.
- Hajime pulls an Edward Elric and essentially transformed himself into an artifact that explosively strengthened the Blood Contract when Yue drank his blood. Yue, in turn, transformed Hajime into a vampire with Transformation magic. Their power increases limitlessly as they drink each others' blood.
- Using Hajime's magic eye as a medium, they create another concept magic gun that returns all of the suffering Ehito ever caused back to it.
- As the space breaks down Miledi shows up just in the nick of time to annoy...er, save them, and remains behind so the two of them can escape.(Lol, was not expecting a serious Miledi moment there at the end.)
- After some worry everyone finally makes it back. The girls are naturally shocked at Yue's adult form(as suspected, she can probably change back and forth at will), and Hajime closes his eyes with a smile on his face.

- Haha, it's been like that pretty much the whole series, though. He did seem slightly less almighty in LN volume 1, but I'm not sure how that will carry over for the rest of it. If/when it gets an anime, I can already see reviewers ripping into it for that.
- Final thoughts: Well, the compass may or may not have been destroyed in this battle, and they're all out of god's crystal. How the heck is Hajime getting home now?

- El Rue (Spoiler):
- They did get out of the sanctuary and Hajime was managing his energy to slow their descent since Yue is also pretty spent to use magic for a gentle landing. The girls did notice them & of course ran to their drop point.
- They found them making out on the ground.

- -- Chapter 179
- --------------------------------------------------------
- borisdrakoni:
- Ahhh, it's finally over.
- Much to say. First of all, Volume 2 cover looks fantastic. I wonder if it was rewritten for Shia to keep this look throughout, or if she'll still switch to the overcoat Yue made for Hajime after her "accident".
- Wow, a manga adaptation already. Quite a promising development. A bit more info: The artist is RoGa(another hentai doujinshi artist). Magazine: Overlap ComicONLINE. Serialization begins in January.
- Now, for the Epilogue.
- Spoiler:
- Time skip one month. The kingdom is rebuilding, and Hajime orchestrated a rewrite of history to venerate the Liberators. He replaces giant golem Miledi in Raisen Labyrinth with one of his beefed up Terminator golems. All of the artifacts he made for the allied forces were destroyed except for some he left to the Haulia, and a small sized Folnir for Gahard. Hajime built an artifact to speed up the production of the god crystal he needed to rebuild the compass and crystal key.
- In Fairbergen where they'd been staying the last month they finally remake the two artifacts. Kaori's back in her original body, though Yue plans to apostle-ize her(and probably the other human harem members too, though they aren't mentioned) at some point in order to overcome the wall of longevity between her and the others.
- While the classmates celebrate the girls make a ruckus competing for a space to glomp onto Hajime. Yue threatens to take away their bedroom privileges if they're too noisy. No names are mentioned, but on nights when Yue and Shia aren't with him certain other girls have been slipping into his bed... Naturally, the order is decided by the legal wife.
- Yue teleports away with Hajime. When they're alone together, Hajime finally shows Yue the artifact containing Deinrid's last will. Afterward, Hajime gives Yue an ordinary ring with no special abilities attached and proposes. She later teases him asking how many rings he prepared. Thus the story ends as Hajime thinks about what kind of riot awaits him back in Japan. The end.
- Incidentally, since Shia's Akihabara adventure was mentioned, I guess that's canon now?
- --------

- Not quite mass produce. It took the entire class feeding it magic every day for an entire month to produce something half the size of what he originally found which did not give off any holy water. Though it was sufficient for his needs.
