「倒しちゃったなー……」

対して特徴のない、まあまあな広さの部屋の中で俺は呟いた。


俺は魔族の姿をしているが転生者である。
元は瀬川陽樹という人間だ。
転生する際にチートを授かった。
だが俺は勇者とかではなく、魔族に転生したのだ。


俺の目の前には倒れている勇者パーティーがいる。厨二な魔法で倒したイケメン勇者、容赦なくぶん殴りぼこった魔法使い、魔法でのびている剣士、気を失わせた僧侶は無傷だ。

"I ended up defeating them all, huh..."


I muttered, in a wide and non-descript room.


I'm someone who was reincarnated into the form of a demon.

when I reincarnated, I was given a cheat-like advantage.

But I reincarnated not into a hero, but a demon.


In front of me lay the defeated hero party. The handsome hero who was defeated by some chu2-like magic, the magician who was relentlessly beaten, the swordsman who was squashed by magic, and the unhurt but unconscious cleric.


「ここまだ魔王城の中盤くらいなんだけどなー」


ここは魔王城の中盤に位置する部屋であり、まだまだこの先に幹部たちや魔王様などがいる部屋があるのだ。


どうすっかーと頭をボリボリかいて考える。
勇者が魔王を倒さないと世界は平和にならない。
まさか、城の中盤ぐらいにいる魔族に全滅したとなれば世界は大混乱に陥るだろう。

This was a room halfway through the Demon King's castle, and ahead of them lay even more rooms with the leaders, and the Demon King and such.

If the hero doesn't defeat the Demon King, the world won't see peace.

Outrageously, if they were all beaten in the middle stages of the castle by a demon, the world might fall into huge chaos.

「とりあえず回復させて近くの村にでも捨ててこよう」


元人間だし、世界が平和にならないのは良くないだろう。
別に魔王様や幹部たちには逃げましたとか適当な理由つければいいし。
善は急げだと勇者パーティーの治療にかかる。


まずは勇者だ。「くらえ、聖剣エクセカリバー」


とか厨二なこと叫んで光る剣を振ってきたので、同じく厨二な魔法を使ってのしてやった。
それはもうのりのりで。


勇者の治療を終え、次は魔法使いの少女の番だ。


闘う前から勇者に色目を使っていて、なんとなくビッチな気がしたので、容赦なくボコボコにした。
俺は男女平等派である。


三番目は剣士だ。
クールで寡黙な感じを出していてかっこよさが勇者並に出ていた。


なんかむしゃくしゃしたので、バトル開始早々《暗黒魔法、バニッシュウェイブ》で消滅してもらった。


ちなみに消滅とはいっても、周りから見えなくなるだけだ。
自分以外のパーティーである勇者と魔法使いが混乱しているのを見て困惑している隙に魔法でぶちのめした。

"For now, I guess I'll heal them and dump them in a village nearby."


I was a former human, and it probably wouldn't be good if the world didn't find peace.

I could just run away from Maou-sama and the leaders, and make up some excuse.

Since I decided to strike while the iron was hot, I healed the hero party.


First came the hero. He had shouted something chu2 like,

"Eat this! Holy Sword Execalibar!"

so I ended up flattening him with equally chu2 magic.

He was already completely flattened.


After finishing the hero's treatment came the magician girl.


Before the battle she was making eyes at the hero, and seemed like quite the slut, so I mercilessly beat her up.

I believe in equality among sexes.


The third was the swordsman.

He gave a calm and silent impression, and his coolness was on par with the hero.


Because he pissed me off for some reason, at the start of the battle I immediately used 《Dark Magic, Banish Wave》 and annihilated him.


Though I say that, all it actually did was made him invisible to the surroundings.

While he bewilderedly watched the rest of his party fall into chaos, I beat him down with magic.

僧侶の少女だ。
剣士が消えても混乱せずに俺のことを遠めで見ていた。
これは油断ならないと判断し、剣士を倒した後、ついでに背後に回りチョークスリーパーで気絶させた。

It was the cleric girl.

Even when the swordsman disappeared, without being sucked into the chaos, she watched me from afar.

Judging that I musn't let my guard down, after defeating the swordsman, I took the chance to slip behind her and put her in a sleeper hold to steal her consciouness.

それでも、念のため外傷がないか確認するため、俯せになっている彼女を起こしたのだが

まあ、闘ったら俺が勝つだろうけどね。

I ordered a subordinate to carry the Hero party to a nearby town.

In my lingering reluctance, I watched her get carried away by my subordinate.

「勝負だ！……え〜っと」


どうやら中ボスなんかの名前は覚えていないらしい。
再戦に来るんなら敵の情報ぐらい集めろよ。

"Fight me! ...Umm."

俺は厨二全開で自分の低い身分合わせて自己紹介してやった。

"Huhahahaha! You've come huh, Hero. You don't learn. Once again, I, Maou-sama's Dark Knight Unit's 5th Squad Lieutenant Commander Youki will send you bastards to hell."

I gave a chu2 opening, and introduced myself, along with my low status.

「あっ、ああ……そんな名前だったっけ。覚悟しろ、ヨウキ！」


勇者パーティーが勝負を挑んで来た。


俺は闘いの最中、勇者パーティーと闘いつつ、僧侶の彼女をチラ見していた。 最終的には彼女をガン見して闘っていた。

"Ah-, Ahhh... So it was that kind of name, huh? Prepare yourself, Youki!"

The Hero party challenged me to a fight.

In the middle of the fight, whilst I was fighting the Hero party, I stole glances at the cleric girl. In the end, she glared at me and fought.

「真面目に勝負しろ、ヨウキ！」

勇者は俺がよそ見して適当に闘っていると思ったようだ。

"Fight us seriously, Youki!"

It seemed that the hero thought that because I looking away, I wasn't taking the fight seriously.

「あー、ごめんごめん。本気だすわ」

さすがに悪いと思ったので、闇の最上級魔法《エンドレスダーク》を放つ。
結果、木っ端みじん。
勇者パーティーは全滅した。

"Ahh, sorry, sorry. I'll come at you seriously now."

Because I really did think I was being rude, I fired off my ultimate darkness magic, 《Endless Dark》.

The result was that I smashed them to pieces.

I completely defeated the Hero party.

「……って、しまった」

俺は僧侶の少女の元に向かう。
咄嗟に魔法で障壁のようなものを張ったのだろうか?
外傷は少く気を失っているだけだった。

"...Oh, crap."

I headed to the cleric girl's side.

Did she immediately enclose herself in a magic barrier?

She had few external wounds, and had lost consciousness.

「よかった」

安心した俺はすぐに回復魔法をかける。
勇者パーティーにも回復魔法を施し、部下に近くの村に捨てて来るように命じた。

それから一ヶ月、勇者パーティーが来ては俺が撃退するの繰り返し。
挙げ句のはてには魔王様や幹部達が勇者パーティーが弱いだの何だのと言う始末。

勇者パーティーが弱いのではない。
俺が規格外過ぎるのだ。

たぶん、俺がいなくなれば、勇者パーティーは魔王様や幹部達を倒せるだろう。
それだけの実力をあのパーティーは持っている。

俺のせいで世界は平和にならないんだなーと思う今日この頃。
俺は今自分の部屋で寝そべり、考えていた。
そろそろ勇者パーティーが来たら、ここ通してあげようかなと。

"Thank goodness."


Feeling relieved, I immediately used healing magic.

I healed the Hero party, and ordered my subordinate to drop them in a nearby village.


After that, for a month the Hero party continued to come, and I continued to repel them.

In the end, Maou-sama and the top brass decided that the Hero party was weak.


The hero party weren't weak.

I was beyond the norm.


Were it not for me, the Hero party probably would've defeated Maou-sama and the officers.

That party held that much power.


Recently, 'I guess the world won't see peace thanks to me.' I'd been thinking.

Right now I was laying in my room, thinking.

'It's almost time for the Hero party to arrive. Should I let them through here?' I was thinking.

「しっかし彼女かわいいんだよなー。闘い中観察してみると、仲間に結構気配りもしているみたいだし。性格もよさ気な感じだなあ。……次で勝負してみるか」

俺はある決意をした。

"Stillll, she's so cuuute. From my mid-fight observations, it seems she's quite considerate of her companions too. It really feels like her personality is good too. ...Should I try having a match with her next time?"

「今日こそ、ここを通してもらうぞ、ヨウキ」

勇者パーティーがやって来た。
勇者くん、やっと名前覚えてくれたのね。
一ヶ月間ずっと名乗らないと名前呼ばなかったのに。

"Today we'll definitely break through here, Youki."

The Hero party arrived.

Hero-kun finally remembered my name.

Even though I hadn't given my name all month...

「ユウガ、こんな冴えない魔族とっとと倒しましょう」

ユウガとは勇者くんの名前か。
とっとと倒されているのはそっちだろ。
あと、冴えないは余計だ、ビッチ魔法使い。

"Yuuga, let's hurry up and beat this boring demon already."

So the hero's name is Yuuga, huh?

The one who's going to hurry up and beat you is me.

Also, 'boring' is saying too much, Slutty Magician.

「……」

剣士さんは無言で鞘から剣を抜きこちらに向ける。クールで寡黙キャラはいいからなんか言えよ。

"..."

Swordsman-san drew his sword and pointed it my way without a word. I'm sick of the cool and silent character already, so say something.

「皆さん、最善を尽くして頑張りましょう」

……身嗜みを確認しないと。彼女にみっともない姿は見せられん。確認してからここ一ヶ月ずっと言ってる台詞を言い放つ

"Everyone, let's do our absolute best."

...I'd better check my appearance. I can't look unsightly in front of her.

After checking myself, I declare the lines I've been saying all month.

「フハハハハ！性懲りもなく来たな、勇者よ。魔王様の幹部の一人、ザエキル様が率いる暗黒騎士部隊五番隊副隊長であるヨウキがまた貴様らを地獄に送ってやろう」

……最近恥ずかしくて死にそうになってきた。
そんな俺の想いは勇者パーティーは知らないだろう。
勇者パーティーが勝負を挑んできた。

まあ、当たり前だがチートを持っている俺に勝てるわけがなく、徐々に劣勢になっていく勇者パーティー。
状況的に見てそろそろいいだろうと思い、勇者にある取引をもちかける。

I was starting to feel embarassed enough to die.

The Hero party probably didn't know that I'm thinking this.

The Hero party challenged me.

もう、結構勇者パーティーはボロボロだ。
このまま戦いを続ければ、いつも通り全滅するだろうに。

"...Tsk. So what!? For the sake of the suffering people, for the sake of the companions that believe in me, I have no choice but to fight."

He understands it, but he can't retreat.

That's basically what he wanted to say.

The Hero party were already pretty worn out.

If they continued to fight, they'd just end up completely defeated as usual.

「だから、取引をしようじゃないか。もし、取引に応じればこの先に行かせてやろう」

勇者パーティーの動きが止まり、俺を見てくる。
彼女も俺をじっと見てくれているので照れてしまうが顔には出さない。

"Since that's the case, won't you make a deal with me? If you comply with my end of the deal, I'll let you through."

The Hero party stopped their movements and looked towards me.

I was embarassed since she was staring at me too, though I didn't show it on my face.

「……なにが望みだ」

俺は答える。

"...What do you desire?"

I answered.

「その少女を置いていけ。そうすれば他の三人は通してやろう」

俺は僧侶の彼女を指差しして言う。
言い終えたあとの反応は様々だ。
勇者はふざけるなと怒り、剣士は目を見開き、魔法使いはライバルが減るとでも考えたのだろう、笑いをおさえられないようだ。
そして、肝心の彼女は何か諦めたような表情をしている。

"Leave her with me. If you do so, I'll let the three of you through."

I pointed at the cleric girl as I spoke.

The responses after I finished talking were varied.

The hero was angry as though he wanted to tell me to stop fucking around.

The swordsman widened his eyes.

The magician seemed to consider it as the number of rivals decreasing, and seemed to be stifling a laugh.

And the cleric girl made an expression like she had given up on something.

「ふざけるな！そんなことできるわけないだろ。セシリアは大事な仲間なんだぞ」

「いいのか?なら取引はなしだな。また、近くの村から再出発するといい。その間に何人の人間が魔族に襲われしのうが私は知らんがな」

これは本当に知らない。だって、俺、村襲うとかの任務一回もうけたことないし。

"Don't mess with us! As if I could do something like that! Cecilia is a precious companion!"

"Are you fine with that? Then let's not make a deal. It's fine for you to start over at the village again. I don't know or care about how many people will be attacked by demons in that time, though."

I really didn't know. After all, I wasn't given the task of attacking villages even once.

「ユウガ、取引に応じましょう」

さすが、ビッチ魔法使いだ。ライバルを蹴落としたくて仕方ないらしい。

"Yuuga, let's go along with the deal."

As expected of the Slut Magician. It seems inevitable that she'd kick down her rivals.

「ミカナ！？何を言って……」

「あの魔族、冴えない顔してるけど、化け物じみた実力をもっているわ。悔しいけど私たちじゃあ何度闘っても勝てないぐらいのね。そんな相手がこんなにおいしい条件で通してくれるって言ってるのよ。セシリアだって強いのだしすぐにはやられないでしょう。その前に私たちが魔王たちを倒してここに戻ってくれば何も心配ないわ」

仲間を信頼しましょうと言ってビッチ魔法使いは勇者に取引を応じさせようとする。
立場が逆なら騒ぐのだろうに。

剣士さんは無言で事の成り行きをみている。
こんな時でもクールキャラはぶれないようだ。

数分の間にビッチ魔法使いに諭された結果。

"Mikana!? What are you saying...?"

"Though that demon has a boring face, he holds monstrous power. Though it's frustrating, no matter how many times we fight him, we won't beat him, right? That kind of enemy just gave us such a delicious offer, you know? Cecilia is strong too, so she won't die immediately, right? We'll just defeat the Demon King and the rest before that happens, and come back. Nothing to worry about."

The slut magician was telling the hero to trust in his companions, and persuace him to accept the deal.

Even though she'd be making a fuss were the positions reversed...


Swordsman-san was silently watching the outcome.

セシリアを……置いてく」

どうやら取引に応じることにしたらしい。
苦渋の決断だったのであろう。
よほど悔しいのか硬く握りしめている拳から血が出ている。

俺が開けた扉に進んで行く三人になった勇者パーティー。勇者は何度も僧侶の方を見て、絶対に戻ってくるからと言い残していった。中に進んだのを確認した俺は扉を閉めた。

これで彼女と二人きりである。やばい緊張してきた。

"Hmph. Then feel free to proceed."

The three-member Hero party proceeded through the door I opened. The hero looked back at the cleric countless times, and said that they'd definitely come back for her. After I confirmed that they were inside, I shut the door.

With that, it was just the two of us now. I was terribly nervous.

「……たとえ勝ち目がないと分かっていても私は諦めません。私の力では貴方に傷の一つも付けられないでしょうが最期まであがいてみせます！」

彼女は武器である杖を掲げて光の中級魔法《ホーリーレーザー》を放つ。

"...Even if I know that there's no chance of winning, I won't give up. Even if I can't give you a single wound with my power, I'll show you that I'll struggle to the last moment!"

The cleric girl shot out an intermediate ranked light magic, 《Holy Laser》. [holy laser? holy razor?]

「……って、ちょっと待ってください。タンマ、タンマ！」

俺は別に彼女と闘いがしたいわけじゃない。
彼女の魔法を掻き消して
手をあげてアピールする。

"Oop, please wait a moment. Time out, time out!"

I don't particularly want to fight her.

She erased her magic.

I raised my hand in an appeal to her.

「……なんですか。私を油断させる罠ですか?そんなことしなくても貴方は私を殺せるでしょう」

「いや、違うんですよ。本当に」

俺はーー

"...What is it? Is this a trap to get my guard down? Even without doing that, you should probably be able to kill me, right?"

"No, that's not it. Honestly,"

「ならなんですか?ヒーラーである私に残れということは、この先に罠でも仕掛けていてジワジワとみんなを痛め付けて殺すつもりとかですか！」

そんなまどろっこしいことはしない。

"Then what? Are you planning on keeping me, the healer here, to torment the others little by little with traps up ahead!?"

I'm not going to do something so tedious.

「殺すつもりなら最初にそうしてる。
俺は君に用があったんだ」

「では私だけ殺すとかーー」

「一目惚れしました。俺と付き合ってください」

告白したかったんだ。


「は！？」


言い切った俺はスッキリしていた。
一方彼女は状況についてこられず呆然としていた。


"If I was going to kill them, I would've done so from the beginning. I have some business with you."

"Then are you only going to kill me, or somethingーー"

"一Fallen in love with you. Please go out with me."

I ended up confessing.

"Hah!?"

I felt refreshed after clearly saying it.
