- Broken Toys
- by Isaac Powell
- The little boy cries for a toy
- The dad, being the old sap that he is, buys the toy
- The boy drops the toy and breaks it
- He begs for a new toy
- The dad sits there ignoring the boy as the boy continues to mourn
- The boys other toy has been broken
- This one cannot be fixed
- The boy laments for the one thousandth time knowing that he can never get this toy back
- He sits there like a sloth
- With his two broken toys
- Waiting for someone to fix them
- As if the toys would fix themselves
