  1. Dear Ladies and Gentlemen of Starvault,
  2.
  3. since the last events relatived to Mortal Online, i finally considered to write down these lines in the name of my friends and myself in the hope you will take them serious.
  4.
  5. I'm playing MO since a few weeks now and i really like the idea of the game and enjoyed playing it most of the time.
  6. I founded a guild with some real life friends and we started to be very successful in the recent time.
  7. We were able to make us a name on the server and found some strong allies, which we fight with and for.
  8. It was fun. We enjoyed it.
  9.
  10. But we also get known to the dark parts of MO too.
  11. Don't worry, this mail isn't about bugs and fixes, which are needed badly. I think you guys know very well, what you need to do to keep the game alive.
  12.
  13. It's about intervention from gamemasters or counselors (shortened GM), which ruins the game for us.
  14. Most of us are thinking about quitting the game and we know from our allies and friends, that this intention isn't only in our minds.
  15. We wrote mails and talked to GMs already, but nothing happend, nothing changed. GMs even stopped talking/answering to us suddenly. In the middle of an conversation.
  16.
  17. I worked as a GM myself and i know the background about things going on. I know what it means to be a GM and that you can take influence towards a game in a good and in a bad way.
  18. At least i know, how to interact with a customer, who needs help or has problems with something in the game. I can't stand condition of unfriendly and unfair behavior from GMs.
  19. It's not the bugs killing the game. Most people yelling about them, but they don't care for them in serious ways as long as the game is fun and fair in a long term run.
  20.
  21.
  22. But this long term run is arduous deranged from interaction and intervention from GMs.
  23. There is no precise stand about a lot of things. Rules were changed suddenly and make no sense anymore.
  24. We had serveral situations, where our enemies used game bugs and opportunities against us, but once we did it too, to make it fair again, GMs told us to stop and we were warned.
  25. They are lots of rumors and a grumble in the community that some GMs like some people and guilds more then others. And this is something which cant be right and it will destroy the game, if you don't take opinions from your
  26. customers serious and react. It can't be right, if a GMs helps guild a against guild b and you weigh about in the irc channel, that the common reaction from the community is kinda like: "Ah, yes, its him helping them as always." "He might be part of them already, lol" It's not our problem, it's a common problem for a lot of people, but most people care to much about their treatment from GMs, so they'll open their mouths.
  27.
  28. As i said, its not about the bugs, the major problem are GMs, who potentially choose players and guilds to help, protect them and loosing their neutrality. Which means dead to a game, which has the intention like MO has.
  29.
  30. Our motivation is on the lowest point. Since the last interactions with GMs, we dont know the reason why we play this game anymore. Everything we can win, everything we can reach, everything we can success in this game can be taken away from us within a blink of a GM, who doesn't like to see us taking down or killing a guild or people he might like better then us.
  31. We were called out for stuff we didn't even do. We asked for a proof, but the answer was denied.
  32. We aren't fighting our enemy players, which should be the intention of the game, no - we are fighting against game mechanics used by GMs. And that's a fight, we are not able to win. And to be honest, we don't want to fight out even.
  33.
  34. Anyways, this is our last attempt to get some attention from whoever is willing to talk to us and listen to us and try solve the problems we have. We would like to invite someone of you guys, who is in charge to our teamspeak.
  35. We really like the game but under these circumstances the game is unfortunately not worth playing anymore. Which is sad, because we liked the game and gave it a change even though it's bad reputation.
  36.
  37. We are looking forward to hear from you. Maybe you might want to know about the problems and thoughts of the communitys keeping your game alive.
  38.
  39.
  40. Kind regards,
