  1.
  2. Imagine a version of Inception, except instead of being stuck inside the head of that hot dude who plays Scarecrow, it was the brain of a legendary, snow-vomiting bird with a tendency for round plastic balls.
  3.
  4. That's Cassandra.
  5.
  6. Back when the Dream World (exploring the dreams of Pokemon, rather than the shitty amusement park) was a big, experimental pokemon-communicating thing, Cassandra was at the forefront of research into how the fuck to make it work. Bravery, curiosity, and a need to be seen overtook common sense for a little while, and the scientist decided on a radical test on herself; she'd try her prototype Dream Reader on the labs resident rare, powerful lab coolant sytem magestic and wonderful marvel of nature.
  7.
  8. Now, on one hand, the test was a resounding success and threw both funding and progress for the finished, well-known, and well hated (fuck you fucking dream world give me my fucking Shroomish) Dream World used today. Cassandra could see her precious Articuno's thoughts as if they were her own.
  9.
  10. On the other hand, it may have worked a little too well. More than a little bit of Articuno's consciousness stayed with Cassandra's brain- and, while it didn't affect her too much to begin with, her mind and body soon began to follow suit. Brown hair became blue; her muscle memory (and with it, her balance) completely began to throw off as their minds molded together, and within a month or two, the scientist was forced to learn how to walk for the second time.
  11.
  12. Her memories began to fall apart soon after; joining into an indistinguishable mesh of her childhood, Articuno's life, and some strange cravings for snow cones.
  13.
  14. DROPDOWN
  15.
  16. Hidden Power: Fire (BP: 20)
  17. Awakened from: Ridley [roleplaychat.org]
  18.
  19. Gained from a stress of a possibly life-or-death/rape situation, Hidden Power lets Cassandra make a little bit of fire. Emphasis on "little"- less like a Bowser-tier fireball or magic spell, more like an eternally portable lighter. Extremely useful in keeping warm (suprisingly hard, given her outfit) and cooking food, less so in any form of fight-or-flight (hurr) situation. Unless they roll about in oil, or something.
  20.
  21. Me First
  22. Awakened from: Titanium [roleplaychat.org]
  23.
  24. Gained from another life/death/rape situation (Cass must be a magnet for it).
  25.
  26. Me First is meant to be a technique of reading the opponent, predicting what they're going to do, and then doing it better! While the first bit goes down pretty easily for the Future-Sight birdbrain, she's still only human. While the second bit involves her doing decidedly super-human feats, they'll be decidedly weaker than the user she's copying from.

  28. Ice Beam
  29. Awakened from:
  30.
  31. Unlike the last time, this technique was learned in a completely safe environment! Kind of humiliating, though, and she broke the TM.
  32.
  33. Anyway, this one's nothing special. She points her mouth at people and cold stuff comes out.
  34.
  35. NOT DROPDOWN
  36.
  37. She can usually be seen with --it appears he's training her to be the best she can be, though she's, starting to learn what an ordeal it might be (BRIGHTPOWDER IS THE BEST ITEM OKAY)
  38.
  39. At the surface, though, it's pretty much a pokemon/trainer relationship, even though they're both (biologically) human.
  40.
  41. It's an entirely professional relationship. Even with the collar. He should totally let her pay for it, though.
