  1. >Day After School Special In Equestria.
  2. >Waking up, you frown for the very fact that you woke up.
  3. >That's it.
  4. >You're ending it all today, this life isn't worth living anymore.
  5. >After brushing your teeth with Colgates special Human brand toothpaste, which she made just for you ("Wouldn't want our little human to get a toothache~"), and taking a shower in your perfectly sized bathroom that was hoofbuilt by the town, you grab the revolver from your bedside drawer and stuff it into a pocket.
  6. >Walking down the hallway towards the front door, you pass all the framed pictures of your so called friends.
  7. >They aren't your friends, they can't even begin to fathom the pain and suffering of your daily life.
  8. >Opening the front door, you step out into this village of those that would probably rather you weren't here.
  9. >As you walk along, you try to figure out where it all went wrong.
  10. >You used to have real friends that cared about whether you lived or died, a job that made you look forward to each day.
  11. >Now there's just...
  12. >Looking up at the sky you swear the sun shines a little brighter, like Celestia herself is smiling down at you.
  13. ...Bitch, you don't know who I am or where I come from.
  14. >The sun dims once more, and you can mentally picture the Princess slumping in her throne with folded ears and a pout.
  15.
  16. >Continuing on your way, the ever-present scowl on your face is not enough to deter these stupidly happy go lucky pones from saying hello.
  17. >"Good morning Anon, you're looking nice today!"
  18. >"Anon, special delivery~ Oh, look it's from me! It's a hug!"
  19. >"Howdy there partner! Yer lookin' a might hungry, have one on the house!"
  20. >"H-hey, Anonymous, uhm... I uh, wanted to know if you were free this weekend? Maybe? O-oh, okay, see you later then..."
  21. >Ignoring the greetings and smiles of the pones around you, you keep your eyes downcast as you munch on this disgustingly sweet fruit.
  22. >They're probably talking shit about you behind your back as soon as you're out of earshot.
  23. >Fuck this gay earthquestria.
  24. >Reaching Twilights treebrary, you violently discard your apple core into the nearest pones face before walking through the door.
  25. >At a table in the back is the Purple Princess, who looks up to you with warm eyes.
  26. >"Hello Anonymous! It's so good to see you, you never visit anymore..."
  27. >Mumbling out something offensive, you pass Spike as you proceed up the stairs.
  28. >"Anon, what's up! I haven't seen you in forever, and hanging out with all these girls is starting to bug me... You're like the cool big brother I never had!"
  29. >Fucking Spike, it's only a matter of time until the world beats the will to live out of him.
  30. >You leave him hanging as he holds out a fist to you, and move out onto Twilights balcony.
  31. >Sitting down, you pull out the revolver and turn it over in your hands, taking in the form and feel of your own death.
  32.
  33. >Hearing movement behind you, you tilt your head to see Twilight and Spike as they follow you onto the balcony with worried expressions.
  34. >"Are you alright, Anonymous?"
  35. >"Yeah, you're always a bit... But this is even more than usual!"
  36. >Turning back away from them to look out over the town, you show them the weapon in your hands.
  37. ...I'm not alright, I haven't been for a long time. Do you know what this is?
  38. >Twilight trots over to sit beside you, as spike climbs up your back to rest his head on your shoulder.
  39. >"No...? I don't believe I've ever seen something like that. What is it? And what's wrong, Anonymous...?"
  40. Don't pretend like you care.
  41. >Standing, you allow Spike to slip off your back, and look down at the confused and hurt eyes of your "friends".
  42. >"Of course we care! We're your friends, we don't want to see you looking so sad."
  43. Haha... You can stop the act now, Twilight. This is called a gun. It's a human weapon that shoots a piece of metal with enough force to tear through flesh and bone. It was designed specifically to end life.
  44. >Raising it to your temple, you stare coldly at horrified pone and dragon as they back away slowly.
  45. >"A-Anon, bro...?"
  46. >"Spike. I need you to go downstairs. Right now."
  47. >"B-bu-!"
  48. >"NOW SPIKE!!"
  49. >You watch the little dragon waddle away, looking back at you over his shoulder with tears streaming from his eyes.
  50. >Looking back to the Alicorn in front of you, you see her horn begin to glow.
  51. Don't. All it takes is the twitch of a finger, and it's all over.
  52. >"W-why, Anonymous...? Don't you know that everypone here cares about you? Don't you know how sad we'd all be if you were gone? How much you'd be missed...?"
  53. >You can't take the look of betrayal on her face anymore, and allow your gaze to drift downwards.
  54. None of you would remember me after I'm gone and buried, you'd just move on...
  55.
  56. >"Anon!"
  57. >Raising your head, you look past Twilight to see a group of pones that have claimed to hold you dear, rushing up the stairs behind Spike in absolute panic.
  58. >"Darling, what do you think you're doing!? This is simply barbaric, I demand that you lower that ghastly thing and see reason!"
  59. >Rarity is looking up at you with a quivering lip, and makeup only half applied. She would never be seen in public in such a state.
  60. >"Yeah, you Pinkie promised to come to my party tomorrow, and NOPONY breaks a Pinkie promise!"
  61. >Pinkies fur is a dark shade of pink, and her limp mane hangs over eyes that look angry enough to kill you on their own for your stupidity.
  62. >"This just ain't tha way, Sugarcube! Don't ya know how precious yer life is...?"
  63. >Applejack can't meet your gaze with the brim of her hat hung low. But you can still make out the tears trailing down her cheeks as she thinks of the faces she will never get to see again, and how much she'd grieve if you were to become one of them.
  64. >"P-please, Anonymous, please don't do this..."
  65. >Fluttershy can barely make out the words between her choking sobs. She's seen enough death with her animal friends to understand the true finality of it.
  66.
  67. >"C-come on, bro... We have to see the Wonderbolts next year, remember? You promised..."
  68. >Rainbow Dash tries to keep up a stoic front for you, but you can see how she bites her lip to keep it from trembling. Those magenta eyes beg you to reconsider before it's too late.
  69. >"Anonymous, we're all here for you, we all love you, you don't have to do this..."
  70. >You don't have to look at them to tell that the tears are real. That you're tearing a hole in the hearts of those that love you with your actions.
  71. >But it's to late to care.
  72. I guess I'm just selfish. I'm sorry.
  73. >Taking a few quick, shaky breaths, you grit your teeth and pull the trigger.
  74. >A bang fills the air, mixing with an unidentified scream.
  75. >...
  76. >Lowering your arm back to your side, you take note of the orange tip of the revolver.
  77. It's a capgun... It's just a toy...
  78. >Not bothering to raise your head, you let the tears stream down your face.
  79. >A flurry of movement sees your arms trapped to your sides, as a pile of sobbing pones embrace you with crushing force.
  80. >Together with your friends, you weep.
  81.
  82. >Dear Princess Celestia,
  83. >Sometimes it seems like the lot you were given in life isn't fair. That happiness is something that actively evades you, no matter what you do in it's pursuit. Sometimes it feels like taking the easy way out would be better than continuing to live a life that you don't love. But I learned today, that if you take a step back, you may see that you have more to live for than you realize. There is always someone who cares about you, even if you don't realize it at the time. Someone that will miss you if you were to leave the world forever, and someone that would remember you when you're gone. For the sake of these people, we must strive onwards in a world that may seem to be against us. Because as long as we still live, there is a chance for a better tomorrow.
  84. >Your loyal subject, and still striving friend,
  85. >Anonymous.
