  1. As salamu 'alaykum everyone. I hope you're all doing well inshaAllah :). One of my teachers said to us today, "we live in black and white". And what he had meant is that we live through reading textbooks but fail to experience the text in reality. And this got me thinking, on how can we become true Servants of Allah? And there's only one answer, "Al Sunnah", following the way of the Beloved of Allah; outwardly and inwardly. Now reading a Sunnah from a book by ourselves is good, but is it the best way to learn it? We're here to live our lives to the fullest and when Sunnah is involved, we must ensure that we learn it to its maximum, so that we can become true Servants of Allah. For instance, learning to do Wudhu properly; a book can describe its forms and methods, but it lacks one important aspect which is demonstration. And only that particular type of knowledge is only passed down through teacher to students. And its purest of that knowledge is when Rasulullah (saw) taught his students and gave permission to teach their students, and they had permission to teach their students, and so on and so on. Sunnah is best learnt when it is witnessed by the eye, rather than reading it and understanding with our limited knowledge. This is when the black and white becomes colour, seeing and living through experiences. May Allah keep us amongst those who humbly inherit the Sunnah of Rasulullah (saw) and may Allah make us become one of those whose core nature is the Sunnah. May Allah make us true servants of Allah and may He shower his Mercy upon us as we are in need of it.
