Fallout: Beyond Equestria 123: The Last Free Town (Part 2)

[2015-02-18 13:14:20] <Mare-Do-Well> Having found the Amulet of Atonement and the Griffin's Goblet, the ponies and griffin of the Crimson Caravan reactivated the Radiant Shield of Rasdon, banishing the Quetzalcóatl Empress back to Tartarus.
[2015-02-18 13:14:30] <Mare-Do-Well> The Griffin's Goblet was bartered to the pirate zebras of the "salvage ship" /Cutlass/, and the Amulet of Atonement was given over to the powerful Spirit of Whispers known as the Faceless.  In return, the Faceless revealed that the missing Element of Laughter was being held under guard in the catacombs beneath Roam.
[2015-02-18 13:14:46] <Mare-Do-Well> On the trip to The Silos, the /Cutlass/ encountered an Imperial scout airship and gave chase.  Noble_Heart divested the ship of its crew and the Crimson's Caravans group swiftly seized control of the airship.
[2015-02-18 13:16:07] <Mare-Do-Well> The crew of the /Cutlass/ anchored the captured ship to their own, guiding it to the zebra pirates' hidden "free city", The Silos.

[2015-02-18 13:16:48] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Shortly thereafter, the Captain comes aboard, followed by Mwana, who translates for her.  "The Captain want's your friend Get_Lost to bring the disabled tracker to Kifaa.  Hopefully, it was short range, something to help them find the ship if it went down."
[2015-02-18 13:16:56] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwana says, "But the Captain doesn't think so.  This ship was short range, so there has to be a bigger Imperial ship just over the horizon."
[2015-02-18 13:17:07] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Get_Lost sighs and gets up again from the table, gives the transmitter to the captain and adds "here you go. good work"
[2015-02-18 13:17:14] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The Captain smiles as she takes the transmitter.  She hoofs it over to another zebra, telling him (according to Parlay) to take it to Kifaa at once.
[2015-02-18 13:17:19] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Between Parlay and Mwana, the Captain informs the ponies, "Either way, a member of the Council will be arriving shortly to meet with you."
[2015-02-18 13:17:26] <Mare-Do-Well> 3CopyCat joins Get_Lost. "Ohh, a Council zebra? Sounds fancy!"
[2015-02-18 13:17:41] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwana gives the Captian a pleading look, and she nods.  Parlay translates, "Go find your friend."  Mwana quickly scampers off to find Golden_Dream.
[2015-02-18 13:17:50] <Mare-Do-Well> 3CopyCat giggles as Mwana leaves. She stage-whispers to Get_Lost. "I think Mwana and Goldie are really hitting it off."

[2015-02-18 13:18:16] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Meanwhile, the Captain says, "The member of the Council will want to speak with the Captain of the ship.  That would be Noble_Heart, correct?  Or has that changed?"

[2015-02-18 13:18:58] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Golden_Dream stares him dead in the eyes. She's been waiting for this moment for a long, long time. "Here, catch." She said, tossing a bottlecap to Mwana.
[2015-02-18 13:19:08] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwana catches the bottlecap and stares down at it.  "huh?"
[2015-02-18 13:19:10] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Golden_Dream watches his expression. "You know what that is?"
[2015-02-18 13:20:13] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwana looks at Golden_Dream oddly.  "Yeah.  It's the top from one of your bottles of pansy non-alcoholic sugar-water," he snarks ( a little rich coming from him, considering Golden_Dream knows the Captain doesn't let him drink alcohol).  He pauses, "Right?"
[2015-02-18 13:20:21] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Golden_Dream tries not to flinch. Tries really hard to stay deadpan. "Yup, yer' right." Pause for effect. "It's also what most ponies use as money."

[2015-02-18 13:27:08] <Mare-Do-Well> 3High above, the cranes swing the multispectral camouflage nets back into place above the still-open Silo doors.  Sunlight catches in the net, filtering down as a multitude of narrow shafts of light.
[2015-02-18 13:31:26] * Noble_Heart spent some of her time rummaging through the crew quarters aboard her new airship. She needed a proper captain's hat if she was going to meet with the zebra leaders, after all.
[2015-02-18 13:32:08] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Airships jockey for best position in the docking rings.  Chugging motors swing gangplanks into place, allowing zebras to disembark.  Cranes break out from the walls, lowering hooks for pirates to attach nets of cargo.  Along the balcony rings, orange lanterns fight against colorful neon advertizements and signs.
[2015-02-18 13:33:28] * Bookwright is besotted with the cityscape. "Wow. This place is just, wow. I don't have words. I wanna explore everything!"
[2015-02-18 13:40:29] <Mare-Do-Well> 3A colorful and complex vertical shantytown extends into the depths below, with homes and businesses anchored to the silo walls and built atop each other without any sense of civil planning.
[2015-02-18 13:44:13] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Most structures are made from scavenged materials, including cargo containers carried here from the ruins of Bahari Soko, many painted in vibrant and cheerful colors.  Wires and pipes run along the exterior of the buildings.  Balconies interconnect to form uneven rings, with occasional rope or plate bridges spanning between them.
[2015-02-18 13:45:11] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Below, the light from lanterns and neon are supplimented by beams of sunlight directed into the city with polished mirrors.
[2015-02-18 13:46:57] * Bookwright sidles up to Shatara and shakes him. "Hey this is really important I need you to ask the captain something for me please can you please ask if there are any museums in The Silos?"
[2015-02-18 13:47:22] * Bookwright says all this with only one breath and inhales hugely after he finishes.
[2015-02-18 13:49:15] * Shatara blinks and stares at Bookwright for a moment.
[2015-02-18 13:49:59] * Noble_Heart eventually returns to the deck of the ship, wearing a rather nicely designed tricorn hat with an unnecessarily large feather in it and gold edging. Evidently she'd found it somewhere below. "We believe We are as prepared as We shall get to meet Our hosts."
[2015-02-18 13:50:45] * Bookwright "C'mon man, it's /important./"
[2015-02-18 13:57:29] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Jugeote walks over to Shatara, addressing him in fancy griffin.  "The Captain believes it is unwise to assume a griffin and stranger ponies would understand zebra customs.  So she wishes for me to convey your situation."
[2015-02-18 14:02:16] * Shatara nods to Jugeote, pausing and glancing at Bookwright. He turns back to her and asks "You wouldn't happen to know of any museums for bookhorse here to visit, would you?"
[2015-02-18 14:03:46] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Jugeote cocks his head.  "Museums?"  He looks around at the scavenge-built city.  "All of it, after a fashion."
[2015-02-18 14:04:31] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Jugeote then says, "There are shops.  You can go to those and look at old stuff.  Buy it too."
[2015-02-18 14:07:26] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Jugeote gives Bookwright an appraising look.  Shakes her head.  Refocuses her attention on Shatara.  "You came here towed by the /Cutlass/.  That puts you under the Captain's flag.  You are all hers... for the moment.  That means she's responsible for you."
[2015-02-18 14:08:07] * Golden_Dream , however, has already gone out to try to make store merchants feel like curling up into a corner with a bottle of grog in their mouths. Hopefully with either Get and Parlay, or Mwana. Preferably both.
[2015-02-18 14:08:26] <Mare-Do-Well> 3"You get into trouble, you get punished, but she's the one whose reputation suffers.  And she's the one that has to make reparations.  So don't get into trouble.  At least, not for now.  And be careful; there's plenty who would like to get you in trouble to hurt her."
[2015-02-18 14:11:55] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwana is more than happy to show Golden_Dream to the best stores.  "Which, if you intend to make the shop-owners cry for their mommies, means stores run by zebras under the leash of rival pirate families," he says with a smirk.
[2015-02-18 14:13:41] * Shatara relays this back to Bookwright, adding that it's probably not a good idea to run around alone.
[2015-02-18 14:14:31] * Bookwright "So that's why I felt like a lump of gold when she looked at me back there. Alright, fine. But I at least want to look at the library." He stops short. "Um. There is a library, right?"
[2015-02-18 14:14:41] * Golden_Dream gives a mischievous smile. A wicked smile. Something that told an onlooker that she had just taken a challenge personally. "Mwana, you know jus' what t' say sometimes."
[2015-02-18 14:17:31] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Jugeote continues, "It will only be like this for a few hours.  Once your Captain Noble_Heart speaks to the Pirate Council, then you will belong to the city.  And that only until you have your own flag and establish yourselves as independent pirates."  She pauses.  "Make sure to tell your Captain, when she is asked if she is a pirate, to say 'yes'."
[2015-02-18 14:21:53] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwawa smiles back just as wickedly.  He pauses to stare daggers at a group similarly youthful zebra hanging about in a caged overhang filled with tables.  The scents of grilled dog come from the adjacent boxcar that has been refashioned as an open-fronted meat shop.
[2015-02-18 14:23:01] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The youths glare back at Mwana, and a few nasty catcalls are exchanged like a verbal knife-fight.
[2015-02-18 14:25:31] * Golden_Dream looks between them. "They gon' be a problem there, Mwana? Or is this jus' tuesday?"
[2015-02-18 14:27:32] * Bookwright "How tasty is that stuff they're cooking, anyways?"
[2015-02-18 14:27:58] * Golden_Dream chuckles a little. "'Cause back home, callin' 'em somethin' like Caesar's corpsified taint musk'll get 'em riled up real good."
[2015-02-18 14:33:40] * Get_Lost didn't even leave the ship. is drawing like a madmare. gives a note to parlay "dear, give this one to kid and stays with her. help her chatting with the zebras and be nice, ok? oh and take a lot of pics. pics of plots"
[2015-02-18 14:38:43] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwana huffs.  "That was just us being civil."
[2015-02-18 14:42:36] <Golden_Dream> 
ACTION snickers. "Reminds me a' back home, when yellin' bullshit at each other is jus' proper greetin's. Funny how personally they don't take it when I bring th' booze to th' hootinany later on." She continues down the way with Mwana. "You got any preference fer' a place what we can dump this stuff onto?" Gold, gems, booze, and drugs. The four basic currencies of the scummy side of any city. Although, this city is just one big scummy
[2015-02-18 14:43:02] * Bookwright decides to go along with Golden_Dream as she goes to rob poor shop-owners of their goods that may or may not be ill-gotten.
[2015-02-18 14:43:11] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Parlay swoops off to find Golden_Dream, snapping pictures along the way.  Stops to get directions from a whirring maintenance bot cleaning some sort of crustations off the haul of another airship.
[2015-02-18 14:45:40] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwana says, "Long as we're getting far more than we're giving away, I suggest Red Spot."  He nods back towards one of the youths at the meat shop.  "It's owned by his uncle."
[2015-02-18 14:49:20] * Golden_Dream looks up at and gives an appreciative boop to Parlay. She'd do it to Bookie, too, but she'd have problems getting up to his nose. "Sounds good. We're doin' some basic good tradin' anyways. Gonna be tricky, but I'd need an angle." She smirked. "Didn't he call y' somethin' nasty jus' then?"
[2015-02-18 14:54:38] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Shatara, Noble_Heart and Get_Lost are aboard the Imperial scoutship when several zebra approach and hail them from the catwalk.  Jugeote glances over the railing and frowns.  "Cruentos."
[2015-02-18 14:55:01] * Noble_Heart raises an eyebrow and frowns. That didn't sound like a term of endearment, that was for sure.
[2015-02-18 14:55:38] * Get_Lost is in the cabin, working hard on her papers. if these zebras aren't bringing a fusion powersource and 6 turbofans, she is not going to consider them
[2015-02-18 14:55:39] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwana shrugs.  "Nothing worse that what I called him."
[2015-02-18 14:59:16] * Bookwright flips open a notebook. "Just as a sampler, what did he call you? And what did you call him?"
[2015-02-18 14:59:24] * Shatara blinks and tilts his head at Jugeote. "Crutons?"
[2015-02-18 15:00:19] * Golden_Dream starts to move towards the Red Spot, starting to throw on the melodrama. "Oh, dear! Me n' m' boyfriend was accosted by this lil' ruffian! 'Tis a shame, we have all this gold and drugs t' sell!" She placed the back of her hoof on her head, acting for the life of her like a damsel in distress, before heading into the red spot in particular.
[2015-02-18 15:01:26] <Mare-Do-Well> 3One of the zebras on the catwalk hails again, this time in zebra-accented Equestrian, "Welcome and well-met, strangers.  This city's full of dangers.  We offer our assistance to avoid business resistance."
[2015-02-18 15:03:52] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Jugeote shouts something unpleasant-sounding back at them.  Then turns to Shatara.  "Cruentos.  Rival pirate family.  Likes to throw their weight around with newcomers."
[2015-02-18 15:04:39] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwana watches Golden_Dream and rolls his eyes.  But he's smiling.
[2015-02-18 15:05:49] * Noble_Heart raises her eyebrows and calls back. "We are surprised to see zebras here who speak Equestrian. It seems quite rare in these lands. So tell Us, did you come here to speak with Us because We are foreigners?"
[2015-02-18 15:06:51] * Golden_Dream swoons loudly. Loud enough that the zebra inside would hear. "Oh, we may need you in case this visit to the store doesn't go well! The horror! The horror!" Hey, she can be a southern belle when she needs to be. She then steps into the store in particular, fanning herself with her hoof. "Oh, dear me. We have had a horrid time here, when all I have done is want to sell my goods."
[2015-02-18 15:11:02] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwana tells Bookwright, "He congratulated me on a pony whore, and said it was a step up from the pleasure bots at Upendo Doa.  I told him I would have to take his word for it, and that it explains the scars on his flanks.  Also, he is Vespertilio and I called him Cruentos."
[2015-02-18 15:15:25] * Bookwright "Right, right. Thanks." He scribbles. "...two houses... ...dignity... ...civil hooves unclean..." He closes the book. "Thanks again!"
[2015-02-18 15:15:56] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The Cruentos with the skilled tongue steps forward, "We study the old tongues of trade. We offer protection, do not be afraid."
[2015-02-18 15:16:32] * Get_Lost is actually not afraid, is simply ignoring them
[2015-02-18 15:17:51] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwana watches Bookwright with some interest.  Then turns and begins to translate for Golden_Dream.  The shop owner is a portly zebra who looks immediately suspicious, narrowing eyes at Mwana.  He says something that Parlay translates as "How is your donkey of a mother?"
[2015-02-18 15:17:57] * Noble_Heart smiles slightly at that prospect. "That would imply that we are not already safe enough on our own, wouldn't it? A strange claim to make in such an otherwise-civil port." She looked up and around at the myriad of buildings. "A place like this would not exist if most of its citizens were hostile."
[2015-02-18 15:19:03] * Bookwright "So, uh, Mwana? Are there any libraries here, in the Silos?"
[2015-02-18 15:21:20] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The zebra calls back, "The Silos is a safe and friendly place... for those who travel beside a respected face."
[2015-02-18 15:21:36] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Jugeote looks to Shatara, scowling.  "What are they saying?"
[2015-02-18 15:22:22] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwana looks confused a moment.  Then replies, "Do you mean bookstores?"
[2015-02-18 15:23:38] * Shatara blinks ant tilts his head at Jugeote for a moment, before he realizes at everyone is speaking pony. "Oh! Uh...they're offering us 'protection'...and Noble isn't convinced..." He emphasizes with talon-quotes.
[2015-02-18 15:23:43] * Bookwright "Um. Kind of. Except that it's a place where you can borrow a book for a period of time, and then return it and borrow another one.. "
[2015-02-18 15:24:46] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Jugeote nickers.  "Thing you need the most protection from around here is the Cruentos."
[2015-02-18 15:25:13] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwana ahs, understanding.  "A used book store!"
[2015-02-18 15:25:45] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwana chuckles.  "All the bookstores are like that here."
[2015-02-18 15:26:23] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwana adds, "Only new books are made by Roam.  And who wants to read those?"
[2015-02-18 15:26:58] * Bookwright "Neat! I'd like to visit one later on then, when we have some downtime."
[2015-02-18 15:27:09] <Golden_Dream> 
ACTION looks quite offended on Mwana's behalf. In fact, when she closes the door behind her, her face goes from sweet and as fragile as a glass menagerie to straight up bitter. "Alright, look y' durned fucker. I'm here t' sell some shit. I got all th' stuff what necessitates currency around a place like this. I got gold, I got booze, I got two kindsa drugs, and plenty of 'em. But I been called a whore by your son, and yer' callin' th
[2015-02-18 15:28:53] <Golden_Dream> -only one that's talkin' on my behalf a son of a donkey. Which, by th' way, are sweet folk that get shat on way too much." She slams her hooves on the counter in front of her. "Now, I ain't got time t' deal with you right now. So you're gonna gimme seventeen thousand bits worth'a aureus or denarius after seein' what I got's damn well worth it, or I swear t' fuck I'm gonna call in those folk and watch 'em beat th' stupid out of you. An
[2015-02-18 15:30:52] <Golden_Dream> -And I'll pay /real/ good to see 'em do it."
[2015-02-18 15:31:14] * Noble_Heart frowns. "We would not be very good pirates if we required protection, would we? We liberated this ship from its controllers. Armed forces of Roam. And now you would tell Us that We need protection from those who claim to be Our friends?" She lets off a 'tsk'. "That, to Us, sounds more a threat than an offer."
[2015-02-18 15:33:16] * mimezinga sighs, gets up and trots outside "why is everypony screaming loud? i'm trying to bring mass destruction up one step and you're not letting me focus..."
[2015-02-18 15:33:22] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The Cruentos calls back, "This is a town of scum and villainy.  You can do better than a Wameli.  Stay here long and you will see."
[2015-02-18 15:34:19] * Get_Lost waves a hoof "hey thanks for the warning! ta-ta!"
[2015-02-18 15:34:59] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The zebras frown, scoff and walk away, casting glances back at Noble_Heart.
[2015-02-18 15:36:15] * Get_Lost smiles at noble "hey! those were okay guys! warning us without asking antyything back! this place isn't that bad, is it?"
[2015-02-18 15:36:40] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Jugeote scowls,  "Those..."  She stops.  Then looks to Shatara.  "I have forgotten the word I want.  What is that wonderful griffin word for the dead flesh you scrape off your talons after a kill?"
[2015-02-18 15:39:26] * Bookwright "I think we should probably start openly carrying weapons. All of us. Even if it doesn't scare off hoodlums, they'll be in easy reach if a fight starts."
[2015-02-18 15:40:52] * Shatara can't think of the word himself, but the description makes his inner predator purr, his wings spreading a bit as it brings to mind the memory of his first kill.
[2015-02-18 15:41:00] * Noble_Heart furrows her brow and looks down towards Get Lost. "We are uncertain. This is a strange place, of strange customs. But We have a feeling that We have not seen the last of them."
[2015-02-18 15:43:13] * Get_Lost "do you think they have a cold fussion portable reactor?"
[2015-02-18 15:44:18] * Noble_Heart blinks in some confusion at that question. "Zebras were well known for their magical technology. So it is possible that they might have some form of small-scale energy generator. Zebras found a way to power their robots, after all, during the war."
[2015-02-18 15:47:06] * Bookwright "That might be true, but for all I know it could have been one of those infernal combustion engines or something."
[2015-02-18 15:47:45] <Mare-Do-Well> 3With the customary threat issued, Golden_Dream and the zebra of the Red Spot begin to barter.  Golden_Dream is far more skilled and persuasive, but the zebra is able to prevent himself from getting steamrolled, mostly due to a linguistic, market and culture home-advantage.
[2015-02-18 15:58:51] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Golden_Dream is surprised when the gems cannot be exchanged for coin.  After a snide "take them off your hooves" offer is rejected, Mwana pulls Golden_Dream aside and explains in hushed whispers that gems could be traded for other gems, or for favors, but selling a gem somehow diminishes it such that no trader would buy it."

[2015-02-18 16:26:40] * Noble_Heart blinks and frowns at the approaching robots. She hadn't ordered any help, which was a touch concerning when the maintenance crews showed themselves in. She looked towards Jugote for any kind of advice. She didn't know this place that well, after all.
[2015-02-18 16:28:09] * Shatara adds his own concern and turns to Jugeote. "...what's with the bots?"
[2015-02-18 16:37:34] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Jugeote looks at the bots.  Then back at Shatara.  "I'll find out.  They could be Cruentos.  But they could be from the Council."
[2015-02-18 16:37:44] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Jugeote races off.
[2015-02-18 16:38:33] * Get_Lost didn't notice the robots, is back drawing stuff
[2015-02-18 16:38:34] * Shatara watches Jugeote gallop away, resisting the predatory urge to chase her bobbing stripeybutt.
[2015-02-18 16:39:51] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Meanwhile, Golden_Dream is deep in the final stages of Barter when she is passed the message from Get_Lost, asking her to find portable power sources.
[2015-02-18 16:40:59] * Golden_Dream and the shopkeeper go at it for a while, finally settling up with lots of jingly jangly moneys. "Pleasure doin' business wit' y', and I swear if you or yer son starts shit-talkin' me again, I'm comin' back meaner, and ain't gonna give y' as good a deal on some'a that shit." She just about steps out of the store when the request comes in. "... Really, Get?"
[2015-02-18 16:41:40] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwana looks to Golden_Dream curiously.  "What is it?"
[2015-02-18 16:42:22] * Noble_Heart frowned. She had no intention of letting an unknown get to work on her ship until she was sure it was safe. And so, she descended on wings to ensure that the robots would not actually reach the ship until Jugote returned. She wasn't intending to damage them, yet. But preventing them from working shouldn't be too hard. Should it?
[2015-02-18 16:42:45] * Golden_Dream looks to Mwana and whispers. "D'y' know of anythin' that'll power a damn assault-class battlemech?" Whatever that is.
[2015-02-18 16:43:26] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The bots try to fly around Noble_Heart.  Blocking one is easy.  Blocking both turns out to be more difficult since they never dodge the same direction.
[2015-02-18 16:44:20] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwana smirks,  "You're going to need a lot more than you'll find in this shop to do that."

[2015-02-18 16:47:02] * Get_Lost trots outside the room again. "what's it now?" takes a glance at the robots
[2015-02-18 16:53:29] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Get_Lost spends a moment watching the bots.  The little flying bots have been cobbled together from the still-functional pieces of other robots.  Their multiple-tooled limbs and small size tells Get_Lost they are general-purpose repair robots -- a jury-rigged equivalent of an Equestrian spider-bot.
[2015-02-18 16:53:50] <Mare-Do-Well> 3 However, Get_Lost is all too familiar with the damage that such a bot could do if malfunctioning.  Or if programmed the right way.
[2015-02-18 16:54:35] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The robots do not appear to be designed to handle vocal commands.  Get_Lost decides she will have to hack into them in order to put them on standby or shut them down.
[2015-02-18 16:55:15] * Get_Lost sighs, starts looking for an open frequence to comand the robots from her piphead
[2015-02-18 16:58:32] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Get_Lost finds the frequency she is looking for.  In moments, both robots shift into a hovering "standby" mode.
[2015-02-18 16:58:34] * Get_Lost her visor turns black, then a serie of points start plipping n it, a little like an old radio wave frequency display, the mare humms not moving a leg
[2015-02-18 16:58:43] * Get_Lost "aaaand done"
[2015-02-18 16:59:04] * Get_Lost "i've not disabled them, just sent them into standby, i can restart them when i need to"
[2015-02-18 16:59:19] <Shatara> "Can you check them for malicious programming?"
[2015-02-18 16:59:37] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Jugeote races back.  Then stops, seeing the robots hovering like they are.  After taking a few deep breaths, she says, "One of them is legit.  The other isn't.  Don't know which one is which though."
[2015-02-18 16:59:45] * Get_Lost "i'd rather not. we arent' supposed to touch them if they're from the authorities."
[2015-02-18 17:00:22] * Get_Lost "alright, i'll run a system check.... it is not a fat thing, though"
[2015-02-18 17:06:11] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Despite a largely unfamiliar programming language, Get_Lost is able to determine which airship maintenance robot's programming has been tampered with.
[2015-02-18 17:06:29] * Shatara smiles as Jugeote returns, blushing a little. Wait, blushing? "Err...merci..."
[2015-02-18 17:07:09] * Get_Lost starts the properly programed robot, then copies the memory of the working one into the rigged one to have it work properly too
[2015-02-18 17:07:10] * Noble_Heart frowns, trying to keep the machines from getting to their ship. "We could disable both, but it is likely that the owners would be most angry."
[2015-02-18 17:07:25] * Golden_Dream steps out of the Red Spot, hoping to catch a glimpse of the stallion being grumpy. "I ain't sayin' it'll be easy, I'm sayin' th' pony what with th' weird visor thing fer' eyes wants somethin' like that. Take it fer' a grain a' salt. What did they used t' power them things with?"
[2015-02-18 17:07:38] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Jugeote eyes Shatara then asks sweetly, "Are you all right?"
[2015-02-18 17:09:24] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Mwana doesn't really know what an assault-class battlemech is either, but isn't about to let that stop him.  "Oh, they're powered by tiny, artificial suns.  Several wired in tandum for the bigger ones."
[2015-02-18 17:11:53] * Golden_Dream rubs her head. "Get, where th' hell are we gonna get /one/ tiny sun?"
[2015-02-18 17:11:57] * Get_Lost "noble, i think we're okay now. they should perform maintenance on the ship with no troubles. there was a rigged one but i think that now it will behave."
[2015-02-18 17:12:02] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Get_Lost is, meanwhile, working her mojo on the bots, setting the hacked robot right.
[2015-02-18 17:12:25] * Get_Lost "also, please dont' touch them. so they can't accuse us of anything"

[2015-02-18 17:14:24] * Shatara sputters a little and looks away, managing to blush more. "Y-yeah, fine..."
[2015-02-18 17:15:43] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Jugeote appraises Shatara, then shifts on her hooves, the sweating zebra taking a more sultry stance.  "You can look.  Just don't stare."
[2015-02-18 17:17:01] * Noble_Heart frowns and lands on the ship, "We shall allow them to work, then."
[2015-02-18 17:17:41] * Golden_Dream looks at the back of her hoof and starts heading to the meatwagon. She's hoping to find a good fish to cook up.
[2015-02-18 17:18:24] * Get_Lost "well, i'll be back to work. if you need me, just call" and disappears again in the ship
[2015-02-18 17:20:28] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Jugeote watches as Get_Lost finishes work.  "I suspect this was an attempt at sabotage from one of the other families.  But it doesn't have that Crue 'push you over the railing' ring."
[2015-02-18 17:21:34] * Shatara turns and looks over the sweaty sultry stripeypone, his wings spreading of their own accord.
