- As a member of the Dead Link Network (“DLN”), I will treat all other gamers with respect and fairness. In any match or game I participate in, I will observe the rules of fair play and sportsmanship and will not destroy anything inside of a game.
- I understand that other than basic button and game glitches that are readily accessible to all gamers, any sort of cheating or manipulation of online play is strictly prohibited for all members of DLN. I further understand that cheating or manipulation of online play includes but is not limited to activities such as “modding,” bridging, “standbying,” forcing host, and the use of action replay for purposes other than basic movie-making. Using these activities to gain an unfair advantage or to change the match outcome during normal game
- play is strictly prohibited.
- Although mild forms of trash talking is acceptable during game play, at no point will I engage in disrespectful behavior that will adversely impact the reputation of DLN. Further, I am aware that at no point is any form of trash talking acceptable if it is directed at a fellow DLN member or recruit. I also understand that any type of communication or behavior consisting of racism, sexism or any other inappropriate discriminatory material is unacceptable and forbidden in Dead Link Network.
- I know that as a member of DLN, I cannot be affiliated with another gaming community or clan. I will also not create another gaming community to promote myself, my team or any other aspect of gaming without prior approval from the leaders of DLN. I will not use DLN, its images or any other intellectual property of DLN without the written consent of DLN and its leaders. I am also aware of, and agree to abide by the DLN Regulations, which can be found on the Dead Link website. I understand that violations of this Bylaw as well as violations of the Dead Link Regulations will be handled pursuant to the DLN Regulations, which include disciplinary sanctions such as demotion, suspension, and permanent removal from DLN.
- In order to create an enjoyable, fair, and well-organized gaming community, Dead Link Network (“DLN”) has adopted the following Bylaws (“DLN Bylaws”) in addition to the Terms of Service, and Privacy Policy. Each member, regardless of Rank or time in DLN is expected to adhere to the DLN By Laws at all times.
- Dead Link Network – Effective April 26th, 2014
- These Rules and Regulations are a more in-depth look into Dead Link Network, these combine together with the Dead Link By-Laws & Rank Structure.
- I. Community Structure
- Below is a layout of Dead Link's Rank Structure. We organize the ranks into Battalions, Platoons & Squads. This is to organize the members and essentially give them a home.
- ***DLN Graveyard - Each Platoon/Battalion will have a Graveyard. This will be located at the bottom of the lists. The Graveyard is for Captains and Colonels to utilize for inactive members they wish to try and get active without keeping them at their rank. After Thirty (30) days of being inactive members will be moved to the graveyard. Captains and Colonels should try to get these members active again within 2 weeks of the member going to the graveyard. If the member does not become active after 2 weeks, the member should be removed from the graveyard. ***
- a)Company - Each DLN Company is created by the Captain with approval from their Major/Colonel. A Squad is overseen by the Lieutenant (1) “LT” and run by the Master Sergeant (1) “MSGT”
- b)Platoon - Each DLN Platoon is created by another Captain and/or Major/Colonel. Each Platoon consists of 1-2 Companies, a Captain (1), Lieutenant (2) & Master Sergeant (2) per Platoon
- c)Battalion - A New DLN Battalion is created by the Brigadier General, with the approval of the General. Each DLN Battalion is made up of 1-4 Platoons, and is run by a Colonel (1), Majors (up to 2), and Captains (up to 4)
- d)Regiment - New Regiments in DLN are created by the Brigadier General with the approval of the Commander. Each DLN Regiment includes one (1) to four (4) Battalions. Each DLN Regiment is overseen by one (1) Brigadier General.
- 1e Promotions - Promotions are given out by your Captain and/or Colonel, meeting rank requirements such as time and work in DLN, does not automatically get you a promotion. You CANNOT be promoted more than 1 rank per day & you CANNOT skip ranks.
- II.Gamertag/Gamercards
- a)When Joining DLN and throughout your stay here in DLN, your username on the site MUST match your gamertag. So if your gamertag is DLN Cosmic V your Username on the site MUST be DLN Cosmic V. Not Cosmic or Cos.
- Each DLN member is encouraged to change their gamertag to represent Dead Link Nation. When a member has reached the rank of Sergeant they are allowed to change their Gamertag to represent Dead Link. Dead Link's clan tag is “DLN” so it would be as follows: DLN “Your Gamertag” If you do not have DLN in your Gamertag then you MUST have DLN in your Clan Tag.
- b)Gamercards – Bio and Motto’s as Follows:
- Bio -www.DLNclan.com
- Motto – “DLN”/”Battalion”/”Rank” Example: DLN/Hysteria/PVT
- 3.Meetings
- Dead Link Network holds every other weekly meetings, each member is highly encouraged to attend these meetings. There is a lot of information to get out to all the members every other week, this is why its encouraged to attend these meetings. Excessive missed meetings could result in a demotion (Unless you have a good enough reason). You are expected to respect your fellow members and higher ranked officers, meaning muting your mics in meetings. At the end of every meeting we will take questions, comments and concerns.
- 4.Transfers
- Any member of DLN may wish to transfer from one battalion to another. However, a transfer must be approved by the Colonel & Brigadier General of the Battalion & the Colonel and Brigadier General of the Battalion they wish to transfer to. Transfers within a Battalion need only be approved by the Captains involved in the transfer and the Major/Colonel of the Battalion. Also a member wanting to transfer will have a 2 week probation period when they arrive at their new Battalion. Please remember you CANNOT transfer just because your friend is over in another Battalion, the reason must be a valid one. One member can only transfer twice. Transfers to another battalion may result in a demotion if a rank is unavailable.
- 5.Voluntary Departure
- If you choose to voluntary leave Dead Link Network you are allowed back 1 time. As long as it was a clean break and there was no drama involved with your departure you will not have to go thru a Re-Admittance Committee. If you wish to return to DLN, whatever rank you were at when you departed you will have to return no higher than 2 ranks lower than what you left depending on availability.
- 6.Retirement conditions
- Any member of DLN that wishes to retire can do so at any time. They will retire their position and receive a Retired Member Tag. If you’re a Colonel or higher and you wish to retire you will receive Retired Officer Tag. If you wish to return to the rank structure and you’re a Colonel or lower you have to return 2 ranks lower than your rank when you retired. If you were Brigadier General or higher you will be placed at a rank seen fit by leadership.
- III. Discipline
- 1.Disciplinary Sanctions
- Violations of the Dead Link Bylaws or Rules & Regulations are subject to disciplinary action, warnings, infractions, demotions and/or removal from Dead Link. There are certain avenues you may go through to get back into DLN if that’s what you choose.
- a)Permanent Ban for Joining another Community
- Any member of DLN, who leaves in connection with joining or creating another gaming community shall be banned from DLN and the website. If they wish to return to DLN they must wait a minimum of 30 days & then go through the Re-Admittance Committee, which entails getting to the bottom of why you were banned in the first place and why you wish to come back to DLN. If your hearing comes back as No, you will not be able to get another hearing in the future.
- b)Re-Admittance Committee – All DBS are handled by the General's. They will talk to the Applicant and either Approve or Deny his/her Re-Admittance. If approved, it will be talked about at the Leadership meeting with all leaders present.
- c)Black-Listed Members - Black-Listed Members are members that have been banned multiple times or have broke serious rules of DLN. We do not tell you who you can and can’t be friends with but encourage you to use your best judgement.
- d)Time Periods for Re-Admittance - Leaving on your own terms and not causing too much drama at time of departure, you will have to wait 2 weeks for Re-Admittance Committee Hearing. If you leave for a gaming community or are banned for causing a lot of drama you will wait a month (30) days for a Re-Admittance Committee.

- Stream Top 8 Games- LoL,Halo,CoD

- When sponsors come in do (Example: Scuf 2K tourney or Honey Badger 5K) LoL,Halo,CoD
- Alright so the only other idea I was able to come up with are 1) just regular vs. matches kinda like gb and umgo do. You play for points in the system that I talked about. Each eek points are reset but you keep your team and record and stuff. 2) I was thinking of this thing you could call the community night tourney. Pretty much anyone can sign up and then players get placed on teams. You get like 30 min to meet with your team and go over stuff and then you start playing. It seemed like a cool idea because i dont think it has been done before and would be pretty cool to play in.
