Game: Ratchet & Clank PS4

Ratchet & Clank PS4 is the latest game in the series. While the movie was a flop, the game itself provides great qualities in a speedgame. The run features many out-of-bounds jumps, clever weapon usage/snipes, damage boosts and jumping off solid scenery or invisible walls. NG+ is a fast-paced romp straight to the end. AGB is the more complete category, showing off most of the game, and has tricks and levels exclusive to the category that are harder and even more impressive than the ones in NG+.


Game: Rayman Legends

Rayman Legends is a really tech-heavy 2D platformer run, and the PS4 version cuts out 10 minutes of load times. The run consists of using Rayman's versatile moveset combined with the flexible physics engine to breeze through levels without stopping, grabbing the optimal Teensies and sometimes just barely cheating death. Every level has some kind of unique strat, and with the lack of RNG, it's a 100% execution heavy run where one slip up either means death, or a chance to improvize backups.


Game: Ratchet & Clank Future - A Crack in Time

Category: NG+ and Any%

ACIT is one of the more popular Ratchet games, as well as an entertaining run. NG+ breezes through most of the combat with ridiculous efficiency via clever weapon use, and there's lots of cool jumps, massive skips and OoB tricks with the hoverboots. Several important story points are ignored and Azimuth, our friendly partner in the story, is routinely abandoned as a way to save time. Any% is slower but more difficult due to weapon level management and "barrier skips" in the spaceship segments.


Game: Destroy All Humans!

Aliens invade America in 1959. Hilarity ensues. DAH any% mainly revolves around using our alien weapons and powers to wreak havoc on humanity as fast as possible. Constant clever alternate ways to complete missions and efficient DNA routing are key, as well as making it through tough sections with underpowered guns without dying or failing the missions, especially in the lategame. Some funny strats include kidnapping people you're supposed to escort, and anally probing humans during dialogue.

Game: Ed, Edd 'n Eddy - The Mis-Edventures

EEnE any% was well received at SGDQ 2016, and 100% is the more complete category, that shows off bonus levels and optional paths not seen in any%, as well as incorporating exclusive tricks like using the other Eds as meat shields, killing bosses in cheap ways, and abusing hitboxes. 100% also features a lot of precise money routing, and switching eds and maintaining efficient movement is critical throughout the whole game to nab all the collectables and not die in the process.
