  1. [May 8, 2168]
  2. [Solar System]
  3.
  4. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  5.
  6. Godzilla, truly a god killer incarnate.
  7.
  8. With her Slayer Crucible lodged deep into the chest of Safi'jiiva, the red dragon's life-force is quickly draining away as signified by the light across his body fading out and the skin around parts left scarred by the energy blade turning to stone. The Metarch Overseer struggles to reflexively breathe as the crimson sword of justice is held in place by the young Godzillasaur. Despite them floating in the middle of the condensed and broken solar system with no sense of true direction, their positioning and body language showcases Godzilla as triumphantly standing above her soon-to-be-slain draconian enemy.
  9.
  10. With his dying breath, Safi'jiiva speaks one last time.
  11.
  12.
  13. "You.... have done it. You've.... killed a true god."
  14.
  15.
  16. The red dragon gargles as he coughs up blood due to his fatal injuries; said blood quickly petrifies and becomes stone as it drips from his mouth.
  17.
  18.
  19. "I.... I have.... failed. I've failed.... all of creation. There is.... nothing for me. No afterlife, no.... only the Meta."
  20.
  21. "Please, Godzilla.... you must.... carry on my legacy. Take up the sword and.... and...."
  22.
  23.
  24. Safi'jiiva coughs up more blood that quickly petrifies as he continues to suffer a slow and agonizing march towards death. Despite being the mastermind behind most of the ills that plagued her family, friends, and those under her protection, Godzilla sees fit to caress the older Metarch in her arms and give him some measure of comfort in his final moments; the Overseer seems to appreciate this, as he no longer displays malice or anger towards her. Indeed, he almost seems grateful for her pity as he dies.
  25.
  26.
  27. "Take up the sword.... and save Humanity from itself. If not yours, then perhaps.... perhaps the rest."
  28.
  29. "Go on then.... Finish it. Let my dying breath.... rejoin the Original One."
  30.
  31.
  32. The great god slayer known as Godzilla takes Safi'jiiva up on his request. She releases her grasp on his head and body and grabs hold of the hilt of her crimson sword. With a mighty push, she snaps the hilt off of the blade entirely, leaving it lodged in the Overseer's chest and the hilt inactive in her hand. After snapping the hilt of the Slayer Crucible off, Godzilla steps back and watches as Safi'jiiva's entire body becomes covered in veins of glowing blue energy that snake their way out from where the blade rests in his chest; his body becomes petrified in stone soon after. As she looks down at her defeated opponent and her drained sword, she closes her eyes and breathes in deeply; she utters no triumphant roar, only a sigh of relief at the ordeal being done.
  33.
  34. Godzilla places her Slayer Crucible's hilt on her thigh and snaps her fingers, instantly calling back the Mechagodzilla fleet that now carries the entirety of the humanoid races that once called Earth home. Despite them being microscopic compared to her planet-sized body, she can clearly make out and see every titan and individual aboard the flagship of the fleet. Atop said flagship, all of the monsters cheer for her victory over Safi'jiiva.
  35.
  36. Meanwhile, within the newly built view-port room that replaced the one Anna Maximoff sent herself out in, Godzilla's extended circle of friends, family, and allies are gathered together to honour recent losses and look towards the future. Out of everyone present, Jiro Ifukube is alone in a corner, sitting on a chair and looking quite down on himself; nobody approaches him except for a holographic projection of Mechagodzilla's head.
  37.
  38.
  39. (Mechagodzilla): ARE YOU ALRIGHT, SIR?
  40.
  41. (Jiro Ifukube): No need for formalities. Just call me Jiro. And not really, no. It's just.... I've outlived every single one of my best and brightest pupils. I'm an old man who's lived for far longer than almost any other, and I was ready to let my students take the reins and steer Humanity towards a bright new future.
  42.
  43. (Mechagodzilla): THAT IS TRUE. BUT YOUR STUDENTS DIDN'T DIE IN VAIN. THEIR SACRIFICES ENDED UP GIVING HUMANITY HOPE, A CHANCE TO ATTAIN THAT FUTURE YOU WANTED TO WORK TOWARDS.
  44.
  45. (Jiro Ifukube): But what about their hopes and dreams? We won't get to see them grow old and pass on their knowledge to the next generation.
  46.
  47. (Mechagodzilla): I BELIEVE PART OF IT WAS THEM PUTTING THEIR HOPES INTO YOU. THAT, AND.... WELL, GODZILLA.
  48.
  49.
  50. Upon mentioning her name, the elderly Japanese man looks out of the view-port at the colossal heir to the Godzillasaur throne. As he looks at her, she turns her head to look right back at him; this is in spite of the fact that he wouldn't be visible to her at all under normal circumstances. The great slayer roars loudly and stares at him with determined yet also sympathetic eyes. Although she feels grief, she also feels reinvigorated for what's to come; this seems to give Jiro Ifukube some measure of contentment, even getting him to crack a smile.
  51.
  52.
  53. (Jiro Ifukube): She has the body of a monster, but the eyes of a philosopher. I guess Godzilla really is the culmination of all their efforts. She has a mix of everything. The upbringing of a Human, the body of a god, and the soul of, well.... herself. That make sense to you?
  54.
  55. (Mechagodzilla): A BIT. SHE POSSESSES QUALITIES OF EVERY SINGLE MAJOR PLAYER THAT HAS SHAPED THE HISTORY OF EARTH IN THE PAST FEW DECADES. ALIEN, PRIMEVAL BEAST, GOD, MACHINE, FLESH AND BLOOD, AND THE SOULS OF LOVED ONES AND AN ENTIRE PEOPLES.
  56.
  57. (Metphies): Truly a god incarnate.
  58.
  59.
  60. The Exif high priest known as Metphies walks over to the pair; he holds his emerald Gematron Crystal in his hands.
  61.
  62.
  63. (Metphies): A true god represents all aspects of the beings that create it. And you've created a rather unique god.
  64.
  65. (Jiro Ifukube): And what does your god have to say about ours?
  66.
  67. (Metphies): I haven't asked in awhile. Perhaps now is the time to do so, to honour the fallen and start anew.
  68.
  69.
  70. All of the Exif in the room gather together and take up prayer stances; they follow the lead of Metphies, who is the only one holding a Gematron Crystal and thus the leader of this prayer service. Several live feeds pop up around Mechagodzilla's projection, showing that all of the Exif spread throughout the fleet are partaking in this prayer service simultaneously; just like with the group Metphies leads, all of these Exif prayer groups are lead by a high priest with a Gematron Crystal. Every high priest raises their emerald calculative stone above their head, prompting the stone to glow a bright yellow colouration.
  71.
  72. No member of the race speaks, but they seem to know exactly what to do.
  73.
  74.
  75. (Metphies): *telepathic* COME FORTH AND START THE CYCLE ANEW! COME FORTH, OH MIGHTY KING OF THE VOID! COME FORTH AND RENEW META AND REALITY ALIKE, ORIGINAL ONE! COME FORTH, GHIDORAH!
  76.
  77.
  78. Outside in the Meta-riddled void of space, Godzilla suddenly perks up. She begins to move towards the fleet, but she stops once she senses disturbances behind her; she turns around and looks at the red sun created in her battle with Safi'jiiva. There are 3 anomalies dotted evenly around the crimson star in a triangular shape, each one identical to one another. The strangest thing about these anomalies is their effect on the technicolor void they form in, as they manifest as swirling black orbs in reality that contrast greatly with the vividly bright and psychedelic structures and shapes of the broken reality.
  79.
  80. Back on the flagship, a holographic warning screen pops up in front of the view-port; it showcases the results of long-ranged scans of the anomalies currently forming near the sun. According to the analysis performed by Mechagodzilla's systems, these disturbances appear to be extremely powerful gravitational singularities akin to black holes. However, what's most strange about these singularities is that they are entirely stabilized; they don't display the uncontrollable consumption of traditional black holes, and in fact appear to be preparing to release something from their pull.
  81.
  82. The predicted release coincides with 3 golden lights being visible within the 3 black holes.
