  23.
  24. The creature before you resembles a massive female sphinx, albeit if the sphinx was made of equal parts golden machinery and silver that moves like flesh and was larger than the four story building she is tearing into. The golden light of a solar halo shines from her human-like head while a bright white light is coming from the creature's abdomen, shining through it's skin like a blazing star, two silver structures resembling the pylons of a cathedral jut up from her shoulders, prayers in celestial carved upon them glowing with the same gold and white lights.
  25.
  26. She turns to look at your group, eyes not quite mechanical and not quite flesh glance at each of you before you're dismissed, until she seems to fixate on one of your companions with a hungry look in her eyes
  27.
  28. Sin-Eaters are rarely sent to the material plane, if only due to their tendency to disregard if an evil can be or is seeking redemption, merely concerning themselves if something is evil and seeking it's destruction. The times they are though is when a land has been deemed past the point of no return and the evil must be cleansed or a particularly destructive and troublesome evil soul keeps returning to the mortal realm. Though they are not unique, it is unheard of for more than one to set foot in one of the mortal realms at a single time, and if they do it is a sure sign the upper planes have given up all hope for turning the realm from evil and instead simply wish to burn it away and start anew.
  29.
  30. Sin-Eaters speak Celestial, Infernal, and Draconic, but can speak with almost any creature because of their tongues ability.
  31.
  32. Combat
  33. A Sin-Eaters prefer to open combat by teleporting on top of her target, failing that preferably in range to do a flying charge. Once in combat a Sin-Eater focuses on evil targets with an almost single minded determination, ignoring good or neutral creatures unless they prove to be hostile, liberally using her Teleportation ability and Anchoring Pylons to remain mobile while limiting her opponents from doing the same. SHe generally prefer to incapacitate her targets using the Subduing strike feat, typically leaving good or neutral enemies alone once they're no longer a threat while swallowing evil ones to fuel herself as she continues her hunt.
  34.
  35. A Sin-Eater's natural weapons are treated as epic weapons and good and lawful aligned for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction.
  36.
  37. Anchoring Pylons (Su)
  38. A pair of pylons jutting up from a Sin-Eater's shoulders give her the ability to project an aura that can lock down any interdimensional travel within 125 ft of herself. Creatures caught in her aura are treated as under the affect of a dimensional anchor spell as long as they remain with 125 feet of her. The Sin-Eater can as a free action disable or reenable her aura once per turn
  39.
  40. Feast (Ex)
  41. To use this ability, a Sin-Eater must hit a Huge or smaller opponent with her bite attack. She can then attempt to start a grapple as a free action without provoking an attack of opportunity. If she wins the grapple check, she establishes a hold and can try to swallow the foe as a free action the same round and can make an additional bite attack.
  42.
  43. Rake (Ex)
  44. Attack bonus +52 melee, damage 1d12+8.
  45.
  46. Swallow Whole (Ex)
  47. A Sin-eater can try to swallow a grabbed opponent of Huge or smaller size by making a successful grapple check. See Holy reactor for damage details. A swallowed creature can cut its way out by dealing 50 points of damage to the Sin-Eater's internal components (AC 25). Once the creature exits, muscular action closes the hole; another swallowed opponent must cut its own way out. The Sin-Eater's stomach can hold 2 Huge, 8 Large, 32 Medium, 128 Small, or 512 Tiny or smaller creatures. In the event a Sin-eater finds she has accidentally (or purposely) gorged itself on something she finds indigestible such as a good or neutral creature, she can spend a full round action to immediately expel it from her body
  48.
  49. Detect Evil (Sp)
  50. At will, a Sin-Eater can use detect evil, as the spell, but with a range of 200 ft
  51.
  52. Smite Evil (Su)
  53. A Sin-Eater may use Smite Evil as if it had 1/4 her HD in paladin levels
  54. (Default three times per day she can make a normal melee attack with a +2 bonus that deals an extra 14 points of damage against an evil foe.)
  55.
  56. Chains (Ex)
  57. The Sin-Eater's chains can strike up to 120 feet away (no range increment) and she can pull up to two opponents towards her at once. If a chain is severed, she can extrude a new one on her next turn as a free action.
  58.
  59. Drag (Ex)
  60. If a Sin-Eater hits with a chain attack, the chain wraps around the opponent’s body. This deals no damage but drags the stuck opponent 20 feet closer each subsequent round (provoking no attack of opportunity) unless that creature breaks free, which requires a DC 49 Escape Artist check or Strength check. The check DCs are Strength-based. A Sin-eater can draw in a creature within 20 feet of itself and bite with a +4 attack bonus in the same round. A chain has 50 hit points (hardness 20) and can be attacked by making a successful sunder attempt which does not provoke an attack of opportunity. If the chain is currently attached to a target, the Sin-Eater takes a -4 penalty on its opposed attack roll to resist the sunder attempt. Severing a chain deals no damage to a Sin-Eater.
  61.
  62. Holy Reactor (Su)
  63. Holy energy suffuses a Sin-Eater's body, the sheer concentration of her internal dynamo is enough to be harmful to the wicked, any evil creature or object swallowed by a Sin-Eater 4d8+2 holy damage every round (the damage bonus is Cha based)
  64.
  65. Further more, while a Sin-Eater's internal energies don't destroy souls per se, they do trap and continue to burn evil souls, scouring it of sin long after the creature's death and removing much of what made the person an individual in the process before letting it pass on or even in extreme cases, such as fiends or particularity evil mortals, burning the soul away completely, as such a creature killed by damage from the Sin-Eater's Holy Reactor can not be resurrected
  66.
  67. Fuel the Flame(Su)
  68. Oddly, several of the Sin-Eater's abilities seem to actively feed off the evil she consumes, boosting and empowering them to even greater heights
  69. While the Sin-Eater has an evil creature swallowed whole and her Holy Reactor has dealt damage to the creature for at least two consecutive rounds without it escaping, the Sin-Eater's Anchoring Pylons aura extends to 500 ft, her Chain's range extends to 500ft and she can pull up to six creatures at once, her Holy Reactor damage increases to 6d8+2 and it's effects apply in 30 ft radius centered on her, her fast healing becomes Regeneration 20 (With no form of attack dealing lethal damage) and gains DR 10/- (applied if an attack gets through her previous DR), should the evil creature be killed by the Sin-Eater's Holy Reactor she regains one use of her Smite Evil attack and the other boosts of Fule the Flame continue for a number of rounds equal to 1/2 the slain creature's HD (Minimum 1), Evil magic items count as a creature with a HD of 1/2 the item's caster level for the purpose of this ability, additionally, spells with the evil descriptor that are cast from within her are treated as if they were targeted by Dispel Magic (CL 14), Evil Spells dispeled this way count as a creature with a HD of 1/8 the spell's caster level for the purpose of Fuel the Flame
  70.
  71. Archon Traits
  72. As an archon, a Sin-Eater possesses the following traits
  73.
  74. Darkvision out to 60 feet and low-light vision.
  75. Aura of Menace (Su): A righteous aura surrounds archons that fight or get angry. Any hostile creature within a 20-foot radius of a Sin-Eater must succeed on a Will save (DC 38) to resist its effects. The save DC is Charisma-based, and includes a +2 racial bonus. Those who fail take a -2 penalty on attacks, AC, and saves for 24 hours or until they successfully hit the Sin-Eater that generated the aura. A creature that has resisted or broken the effect cannot be affected again by the same Sin-Eater's aura for 24 hours.
  76. Immunity to electricity and petrification.
  77. +4 racial bonus on saves against poison.
  78. Magic Circle against Evil (Su): A magic circle against evil effect always surrounds a Sin-Eater (CL 48). (The defensive benefits from the circle are not included in an archon’s statistics block.)
  79. Teleport (Su): Sin-Eaters can use greater teleport at will, as the spell (caster level 14th), except that the Sin-Eater can transport only itself and up to 50 pounds of objects.
  80. Tongues (Su): All Sin-Eaters can speak with any creature that has a language, as though using a tongues spell (caster level 14th). This ability is always active.
