  1. Nicholas Galloway He's right. We should treat homosexuals the same as we treat all sinners, with love and compassion. The same as we treat adulterers, and thieves, and murderers. We understand that they are blinded by the powers of this age, and need redemption, just as we did when we were in sin. But for one thing, divorce cannot be compared to homosexuality; divorce is outlined in the old testament, not as a sin, but as a limited concession. There are Jewish laws outlining the procedure and reason behind a divorce, but not forbidding it. And Jesus himself, though he acknowledged that divorce had been misused by the Jews, did not say never to pursue such an action. As for the consequences of the homosexual lifestyle.... Perhaps one reason they appear to be missing from scripture is that the bible treats homosexuality itself AS a consequence.

  3. Romans 1:24-28 (24 Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, 25 because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen. 26 For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; 27 and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error. 28 And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.)

  5. In speaking against homosexuality, are we then speaking hatred against the humans trapped in its grip, or against the devil who ensnares them? Are we trying to "ruin the lives of people we don't even know?" Hardly! We speak to all men, as brothers, knowing our Father has created each of them out of love and for a purpose. We only desire to see all men come into relationship with God, and in order to do that, one must repent. And one cannot repent of something they refuse to hold as a sin.
