  1. Abyssal Dwarfs: Pretty much Chaos Dwarfs. Lots of artillery and have some golems that they can use. Goes perfect with OOP, Forgeworld, or Russian Alternative Chaos Dwarfs, and the official models are some of Mantic's better ones.
  2.
  3. Dwarfs: Self explanatory. Differ from Warhammer Dwarfs in the sense that they have cavalry, giant badgers that they can ride around. Have giant drills, elementals, and other war engines that they can use. Work great with the GW models, Avatar of War models, and the official ones are some of Mantic's best.
  4.
  5. Elves: Equivalent to Warhammer's High Elves, with a little bit of overlap with Wood Elves. Lots of good infantry that count as Elite. Work perfectly with the GW models. The official models don't follow a different style and look like shit depending on who you are, but some people really like them.
  6.
  7. Twilight Kin: Equivalent to Warhammer's Dark Elves. Going to get a major overhaul soon, but currently have a lot of good infantry and strong Heroes. Will need to be allied with Forces of Nature if you want the Hydra. Work great with the GW Dark Elves, the official models aren't the best but can do the job.
  8.
  9. Goblins: Their own faction(Though can be allied with Orcs if you want them to be like they are in WHFB) which differ from GW orcs in that they have the grinder thing from Labyrinth as a war engine. Match up with GW's goblin models, just use the wolfs as fleabags. Their official models are not very good, they have strange mold lines and are made out of cheap plastic that our friends in China decided to use. Reason that everything is being made in England now.
  10.
  11. Orcs: Self explanatory, don't have goblins in their list but can be allied. Lots of strong infantry and cavalry, but lacks in the artillery department. Work very well with the GW Orcs, and have nice official models.
  12.
  13. Kingdoms of Men: Allows you to create any sort of human faction you can imagine, Mantic doesn't even sell models for the faction. Largest amount of infantry options give you a lot of flexibility when it comes to creating whatever you want. Works well with GW's Empire models, can accommodate Brettonians if you ally them with Basileans for Paladin Knights, and are perfect with historical minis of your choice.
  14.
  15. Undead: Equivalent to Warhammer's Vampire Counts, though does have Liche Priests and Mummies. Cheap infantry and scary artillery. Work perfectly with GW's Vampire Counts minis, and Wargame Factory's Skeletons are nice too. The official models are arguably Mantic's best, the zombies and ghouls especially.
  16.
  17. Basileans: Byzantine themed paladins, knights, and angels. Powerful cavalry and high morale infantry. Can be used with some of GW's Brettonian or Stormcast Eteneral, or some Byzantine models from any manufacturer. The official models are not all great, the sisters are known for looking like orangutans.
  18.
  19. Ogres: Equivalent to Warhammer's ogres, though follow a more top heavy art style than fat cannibalistic rednecks. Characterized with lots of large infantry, and require the lowest model count out of all the armies. Can take on some goblins however. The official models are nice plastics, that are some of Mantic's best.
  20.
  21. Forces of Nature: Closest to Wood Elves, but with more focus on nature spirits and elementals. Good ranged infantry and let you unleash your inner hippy with a large choice of fantasy monsters. The GW Wood Elves fit a lot of the time, but not entirely. There aren't many official models for it right now other than Oberonwithtits which looks great, and the Sylvan Kin which I don't personally like.
  22.
  23. Forces of the Abyss: Closest to Chaos Daemons, but more Diablo than Chaos. Lots of expensive infantry, but lack good artillery. Most units match up with the GW models. Official models aren't released yet other than the gargoyles(Which look nice), but from the pictures they look really good, and are coming on hard plastic sprues.
  24.
  25. Additional Lists
  26.
  27. League of Rhordia: An alliance of a human kingdom and halflings. Lots of armed manlets and cavalry. Can work with some of GW's Empire models, and you can use Wargame Foundry's halflings.
  28.
  29. Ratkin: Pretty much Skaven. There aren't any major differences that I can point out. Use the GW models for them, the Island of Blood ones are on Ebay for a very reasonable price if you are cheap.
  30.
  31. The Herd: Meant to accomodate Beastmen, but offer a lot of leeway on what type of animal people you want. Give you the options of fielding giant eagles if that is your thing. Work great with GW's beastmen, but some people have even used Wrath of King's pig people as Tribal Berserkers.
  32.
