Birds of Ponyville Part 1

>Today was a lovely day for Peep.
>The sun was shining, she could see plenty of birds about.
>Maybe she could go out and really explore.
>There was always something really cool to find in and around the forest.
>Diving through bushes, flying around in the trees, always looking out for something to find.
>It was always so fun and exhilarating!
>Well it may have taken a while, but she did find something.
>The forest’s edge.
>Perhaps there would be something interesting out in the fields nearby?
>Taking to wing and flying high, she could see all kinds of things.
>One being this large collection of weird looking objects out in the distance.
>Maybe that was one of those “towns” that ponies lived in.
>It was still fairly far, and she’d never directly interacted with other ponies.
>However, There was this lovely looking tree fairly close by.
>Oh there were probably new birds to find and talk to!
>Diving down she could see all kinds of animals and things around the tree.
>Softly landing on one of the branches it was obvious that there were a lot of birds.
>Gently cooing and chirping Peep was able to talk with them all.
>Only to be broken up by a large rumble from her belly.

”Do you guys know where some food is around here?”
>One of the birds nods and flies off out of the tree.
>Following suit she could see a large bag absolutely stuffed with seeds.
“Holy crackers! Oh man if only I could fly this back home with me.”
“Oh well. Time to dig in!”
>There was plenty to eat and that’s exactly what she was going to do.
>Consuming mouthfuls of seeds at a time was sure to fill her up soon.
>”E-excuse me?”
>Wait there was someone here?
>Peep stops chewing and turns around.
>What greeted her was a yellow, winged pony.
>”Who are you? I’ve never seen you around before. And if you don’t mind me asking, why are you eating the bird feed?”
“My name’s Peep! But who are you?”
>”Oh, well my name is Fluttershy. So why were you-“
“You look weird. What kind of bird are you?”
>”What? Oh I’m not a bird.”
“Are you sure? Because you’ve got wings just like me!”
>”Oh no, I’m a pegasus just like you are.”
“What! I am not some p-peg-a-sews!”
>At this point Peep has started puffing up and scrunching out of frustration.
>This silly bird doesn’t understand.
“I’m a pigeon! Coo~”
>She struts around in place, showing off her lovely patterned body.
>”Well okay then, so you’re a pigeon. But honestly, I’m not a bird, I’m just a Pegasus.”
>”Where did you come from anyway?”

“From the big forest. There are all kinds of birds like me in there.”
>”Aren’t you a bit young to be wandering around the Everfree like that without supervision?”
“Wha- I’m not small! I’m fully grown and can take care of myself!”
>”O-oh I’m so sorry. I didn’t know.”
“Whatever. Now I believe you interrupted my lunch.”
>As she turns back to continue eating she gets stopped by Fluttershy.
>”Actually I would like it if you didn’t eat my bird feed. I need it so that all my little bird friends don’t go hungry.”
“What? Oh fine. Where did you come from though? Did you come from that “town” in the distance?”
>”Sort of. I go into town sometimes, but this tree is my home and is where I take care of all kinds of animals.”
“Are you SURE you aren’t a bird?”
>”Yes I’m sure. Actually I have some friends back in town. Do want to come see them?”
“No way. You ponies are weird and I’d rather do things on my own time. See ya later poser!”
>And with that Peep once again takes to the skies.
>Striped wings flapping, she leaves a very confused Fluttershy behind.
>Hmmm maybe she COULD go into that weird town full of ponies.
>Best not to judge so many from just one of them right?
>Ahh well best not think about that right now.
>Too much adventure for today anyway.
>Deftly flying around branches and vines, Peep makes her trip back to the nest.
“Ahhh home sweet home. Coo~”
