Eriadne's Eyes

Eriadne seems unhappy.

As I come closer, Eriadne gives me a small, almost not noticable smile that somehow still seems fill the room with a warm spring breeze. Not too hot, not too cold, just right for watching the stars. Her eyes have the colour of leaves in late summer, brown and gold with green spots sprinkled throughout.

"Eriadne, would you mind practi--" She half-turns to me, eyes a brilliant green and makes a shushing motion. Come on, I was just asking! Though of course it makes sense she wouldn't want to.

The screaming is heard from somewhere around the next bend corner. Eriadne returns my questioning gaze with a green-eyed one of her own, shrugging as she begins to sprint with surprising quickness, my own legs pumping to keep up.

Eriadne's even footfalls falter for a few seconds and she looks at me sideways, gaze unreadable, eyes a curious mix of bright green splotched with gold and grey with a thin pink ring around it. Despite myself, I can't help but be impressed by the combination.
