>Hello, Diary
>We are sorry for our informal greeting on such a wonderful night…

>I remember when I first met him, just like it was yesterday..
>I was timid; I didn’t recognize what kind of species he was, until I had assessed his entire body
>I have not seen a human in a few thousand years, until then
>It was fascinating, to see one after such a long while
>I had walked over to him, ever so slightly, until he had noticed me
>He panicked, at first, until he saw that I was of no harm
>Although, we could not talk to each other, we quickly made friends through simple means
>Such as body gestures, and smiling faces
>However, I have not seen his face
>His mask, that allowed him to survive, had covered his face
>He and I played games, yes, but it was difficult to play without audible communication
>We didn’t even play games for most of the time; we just walked around the moon
>To be honest, Diary, they were the best moments of my life
>To have a companion
>To have a friend… even if it was for such a short time
>When he left, I felt it again…
>The anger, the loneliness…
>The anger at my sister for leaving me up here
>The loneliness of not being able to see another pony’s face
>A year after my return, I set my guards to find out everything about man I had met
>They located him-and you already know the specifics of how, exactly, they found him, so I shall not waste any time explaining
>But, the search had taken longer, than one would’ve liked…
>When my guards finally found him… he was dead..
>They gave me information on him, including his date of birth, and date of death
>Both in August, coincidentally

>I’m feeling horrid, right now
>I hardly knew this human… yet, I’m crying on you, like a foal would, if she was ripped of her favorite toy..
>I miss him, but I’ve only ever met him once..
>I’ve planned to visit the moon, on the anniversary of his death
>To pay my respects to our fallen hero..
>But, for now, royal duties need to be taken care of
