  1. RTFM
  2.
  3.
  4. “Oh this is simply fantastic! Though, I may need some more getting used to before I can use these to their full potential.”
  5.
  6. Pearl marvels over the wonders of modern technology, now planted onto her and it’s just so *snappy*. Displays to keep track of everything? Protective gemwear? Oh, why didn’t she think of it in the first place? It was going to be wonderful, all without the ties of homeworld. Save for the Engineer who made them of course. At least *she* was willing to cooperate with one thing and be useful for something.
  7.
  8. On the other hand, Lapis was having some… Difficulties.
  9.
  10. “I just don’t see the point. It’s all a bit much, don’t you think?”
  11.
  12. The water gem looked over to Pearl, then to Peridot, expecting a kind of response. Steven was running from between the three of them, marveling over how they all looked like “Mega Man” characters now.
  13.
  14. Peridot sighed. She should have expected this.
  15.
  16. Lapis struggled visibly, trying to control the floating modules, walk in these clunky boots, all while trying to not stumble.
  17. Frustrated, she hissed, “Is this really necessary? I was fine without it- I could at least use my feet properly! And how do I even move these *things*?!”
  18.
  19. As the green gem reminds herself. Expectations.
  20.
  21. “There is a dodecaplex of input gestures for manual use, you know. If you can’t just think your movements out. I mean really, it’s all pretty simple, unless your gem is that constantly water logged.”
  22.
  23. Lapis huffs, as Pearl gets hers to rotate and float away from her.
  24. Gestures, huh.
  25.
  26. She concentrates, moving her own hands in front of her, Peridot leaning in closer to them and looking them over while mumbling about the different controls again.
  27.
  28. Lapis continues trying to move her hands and arms in different ways getting the fingers to shift to different positions, feeling a moment of relief, her own fingers curling and touching something inside the gauntlet, the floating dowels curling and touching Peridot’s arm.
  29.
  30. The green gem had only moments to react with a surprised yelp, as yellow cracks shot up her arm before poofing into a cloud and landing on the floor with a clink.
