> Leaving the four foals on her belly to nurse and sleep you take the broken foal to the back yard
> Burying it with a small stone above its grave
> Don't want any animals digging up your garden or the poor thing
> The mother upon your return is still bleating through the tape
> Her foals nurse and play on her soft belly fluff
> "Eep eep eep eep"
> They hug and nurse all without sight
> While taped you clean Bunny as best you can
> Then feed her some oatmeal
> She screams the whole time
> If not for the instinctive swallow reflex she would die of starvation within the week
> You don't plan on keeping her once the foals are full grown
> But, until then they need a mothers love

> He raised you since you were a baby
> You're a grey unicorn with blue eyes!
> Daddy calls you Bunny!

> "Everyone time to come get spaghetti!"

> Your sisters and you all run to get nummies
> You vaguely remember having more, but haven't seen any others
> Your screamy meanie momma is loud but gave you warm fluff to sleep in and yummy milk to drink
> So she's not bad
> But, you don't like her
> She looks strange, and says strange things when she can talk
> "Nummies guud!"
"Wuv daddeh! Fankoo!"
> Hu? Where did daddy go?

> You own a wall-eyed grey unicorn mother who bleats "Nnnaaa" incessantly
> She was always a problem but after killing her foal she lost her mind
> Now she never says anything other than that terrible NNAAAA
> You've had her taped to the floor of the safety room above the litter box for two weeks now
> She hasn't moved since and is noticeably smaller
> Her foals have now been potty trained, weaned, and sleep away from their mother
> Who stinks and yells at them
> Once she managed to bite one while you tried to feed her
> It was her littlest foal Bunny
> Looks just like her but is significantly smarter
> With the foals free from their mother you can now get it over with
> Taking the tape off the fluffy she simply wiggles her legs sliding them side to side
> A weak "naaa nnaaahh..." escapes her lips after the tape is removed
> She's long gone
> Picking her up and bringing her outside you place a plate of spaghetti before her
> Her eyes light up
> "Nnanaaanaaa!"
> Try as she might she is unable to stand
> Legs too weak and probably significantly atrophied
> You place her face in the food
> No sauce but she happily eats the noodles
> Then you slip a few pills into her open chewing mouth
> She doesn't even notice
> Her eyes too busy looking every which way
> "Naaaum naaum naaum naaum naaum na... naaau... nam... nam... ..."
> The pills work quickly
> She's out before a minute is up
> Snoring in the spaghetti you see the silly little foal you saved from her callous mother
> "Stupit fwuffy bebbeh nyuu smeww pwetty! Bad bebbeh! Nyuu wan!"
> Just a runt chirping pathetically nearby her mother you couldn't leave her
> Taking the runt, raising her, that silly little face
> Calling you daddy
> Playing happily and loving everything
> The lullaby you sang to her when she was a foal comes to mind
"Sleep little bunny... you've played all day long... sleep little bunny, it's your sleepy song... the sun has gone to bed now lay your weary head..."
> You feel the tears welling up
"So-  so sleep little bunnywunny in your cozy bed..."
> The tears are now flowing freely
"Sleep little bunny... till the sun comes up..."
"Then all good bunnies will play again, and have..."
"and... and have lots of fun..."

> You finished your nummies and went to go see daddy
> But, daddy took mummah outside
> Why is mummah going outside with spaghetti?
> Nummies are for inside!
> Then daddy gives mummah some pretty treats with her spaghetti!

> You love the sleepy song!
> Why is daddy singing the sleepy song?
> Mummah is sleeping though
> It must be because mummah is so sleepy!
> Now... now daddy is crying...

> Daddy has saddies and needs huggies!
> Why is mummah not hugging him?
> You walk towards daddy and mummah

> She's gone now...
> She's gone
> Her laugh, her smile, that silly little face
> "Daddeh nee huggies?"
> Bunny is now hugging your leg as you sit in the grass
> Tears still flowing down your face
"D.. daddy does need huggies..."
> "Why mummah sweepin? Nuu sweepie time!"
"Mu...mummah is going to be sleeping for a long time..."
> "H-how wong daddeh?"
> You don't answer, but she starts to cry too
> You pick her up and give her a gentle hug
> She is now sobbing
> You don't know if she fully understands
> But, she'll need to be a brave fluffy for her sisters
> You carry the still sniffling fluffy inside
> Her sisters all playing in the safe room oblivious to the fate of their mother
"Now Bunny, you can't tell the others about momma.  Okay?"
