[12:15] <TenMihara|GM>  but most times, the things that are lost cannot be reclaimed.
[12:15] <TenMihara|GM>  When you lose something, how do you go on?
[12:16] <TenMihara|GM>  Do you strive to regain it? Do you let it go reluctantly? Or do you simply survive thinking the wasteland giveth, the wasteland taketh?
[12:17] <TenMihara|GM>  What will our wastelanders lose before all is said and done?
[12:17] <TenMihara|GM>  And what will they do to get it back?

[12:18] <TenMihara|GM>  Once again, morning in Megamart is announced by much wubs blaring out of the Security console room.
[12:19] * Proverb murrs. She's curled up tightly at the bottom of the bed in the room she had rented with Harmony.
[12:21] * Proverb is also using Harmony's tail as a pillow.
[12:22] * Fridge is now known as Logic_Gates
[12:22] <TenMihara|GM>  *WUBWUBWUB*
[12:23] * Purple_Kay rolls over against the noise... onto his brutalized shoulder. He flops back the other way with a yelp.
[12:23] * Harmony wakes with a pinching feeling on her tail as she tries to move it. She really doesn't like the music playing... "Too loud..." She rubs her temples before nudging Proverb with a hoof.
[12:24] * Logic_Gates is currently a very busy pony. He seems to be scribbling madly on what paper and pencil he could get, looking over proofs and seeing if everything he was doing made mathematical sense. It's up in the air if what he's doing makes practical sense.
[12:25] * Proverb perks her ears up. "Noooo.. too early.... quiet..." She mumbles.
[12:25] <TenMihara|GM>  The door to the security office opens up with a slam and Bottlecap storms in, "You are very lucky it's not saturday today." She slams a hoof on the console and kills the music.
[12:26] * Proverb sighs. "Mmmmm, better..." She snuggles up against Harmony, curling around her tail.
[12:27] * Purple_Kay reins in his movement. Not wanting to distrub the bed's other occupant. He likes his limbs, even if one doesn't like him so much right now.
[12:28] * Logic_Gates is currently in the middle of something. Namely, the walls of the security room seem wallpapered in some oddly, but fairly well drawn pictures of... Things. Strange things. "Heating point up to 200 degrees centigrade. Centigrade? No. No, that's not..." He rubbed his face. He'd been up all night. "Love you too, Bottlecap."
[12:28] * Harmony tries to get out of the bed and slide her tail out of Proverb's snuggle, not feeling much for sleep after waking up to those dreadful wubs.
[12:29] * Green_Field is still asleep on the floor in the corner.
[12:30] * Proverb tries to keep ahold of Harmony's tail, only to tumble out of the bed with an eeeeeeep!"
[12:30] * Razor is sharing the bed with Purple_Kay (for once). It's pretty cramped, but she was sick of him being all self-sacrificing. For some reason she cares that he's been not caring about his injury, despite how crazy that sounds. She groans, rolling over at the noise. She mutters, "Shut that damn thing up..."
[12:30] <TenMihara|GM>  Bottlecap gives a growl that sounds surprisingly similar to a manticore and storms out of the security room
[12:31] * Harmony winces and tries to set Proverb upright. "My apologies Proverb, I did not mean to wake you..."
[12:32] * Proverb yawns, rubbing her eye with a hoof. "No, no, i-i-it's f-fine..." She yawns again.
[12:33] * Proverb falls against Harmony again.
[12:33] * Purple_Kay  finishes waking up beside Razor (for twice) when she speaks. No chance of getting a few more winks in now. Besides, they haven't taken a paying job since Toll, and his coffers needed some attention. Early rad-bird gets the taint-worm and whatnot.
[12:34] <TenMihara|GM>  Purple_Kay is struck by how bizarre that metaphor is a few moments later
[12:35] * Harmony sighs, trying to think of a way to wake Proverb up... before her eyes glint mischievously. She pokes Proverb again with a hoof, making sure she had her attention.
[12:35] * Proverb murrs, looking up at Harmony. "Mmmm?"
[12:38] * Harmony smiles down to Proverb before she gives her a quick peck on the lips, trying to suppress her grin. "Time to get up now, dear."
[12:39] * Purple_Kay shimmies out of the bed carefully. Both for his injury and to not jostle Razor too much. He manages to get his hooves under him and start his morning stretches.
[12:40] * Proverb 's eye goes wide, and she squeaks, cheeks flushing red. "...eeep!"
[12:40] * Proverb stammers adorably.
[12:40] * Razor gives a frustrated growl when the noise doesn't stop. She sits up, glancing around. "Worst kind of wakeup call..."
[12:42] * Harmony chuckles, smiling at Proverb. "I can promise another if you're fully awake~"
[12:42] * Purple_Kay considers a comment about the company... but remembers again he likes his limbs attached. He grinds his teeth a bit as he pushes his injured shoulder through his morning routine. Can't baby it, gotta keep the scarring as loose as possible.
[12:43] * Proverb is very awake now! "I... I... uhm... I... y-y-y-yay...?"
[12:45] * Harmony sits up, smirks, and gives Proverb another kiss as she makes her way to the door.
[12:45] * Razor doesn't growl because of noise actually. Probably because of general annoyance at being woken up.
[12:46] <TenMihara|GM>  Morning begins to bring Megamart to life as the merchants move out to their locations and unload their wares onto display
[12:48] * Proverb eeps again, and she /might/ have kissed back just slightly... She scrambles to her hooves and follows Harmony out.
[12:49] * Logic_Gates frowns, then picks up several stacks of paper on the wall. Pencils have been ground to their nubs. Papers have been thrown out, put into the waste paper basket, dug out of the waste, put back on the wall, and then subsequently thrown out again. Pencils down. He stepped out of the security room with a large stack of grid paper and starts making his way over to Purple_Kay's door. And he just...
[12:49] * Logic_Gates ...stands in front of it.
[12:50] * Green_Field finally begins to stir with the various noises waking him up.
[12:51] * Harmony turns to Proverb. "I believe Mister Kay mentioned the need of caps, correct? Would there be any jobs to be done at Megamart, Proverb?"
[12:51] * Purple_Kay grunts a bit going from downward-facing-dog to cat.
[12:52] * Proverb nods. "W-Well, uhm, w-w-we c-can check the j-job board."
[12:52] * Logic_Gates continues to stand in front of Purple_Kay's door.
[12:53] * Harmony smiles. "Wonderful." She gestures Proverb forward with a hoof. "Would you be so kind as to lead the way?"
[12:53] * Green_Field noticing Purple_Kay, nods in approval, "morning stretches, that's good."
[12:53] * Proverb nods, trotting on ahead downstairs, and to the job board, looking over it.
[12:53] * Logic_Gates is standing rather rigidly, looking rather tired.
[12:54] * Harmony follows, looking the board over.
[12:54] * Purple_Kay finishes his routine with some difficulty. "If I don't the scarring tightens up even more. Don't need to lose any more range of motion." He snorts as he dons his armor, with it's impressive hole, and his saddle.
[12:55] <Green_Field> "It's refreshing to see somepony know a thing or two about that sort of thing."
[12:57] * Purple_Kay cinches up his saddle. "From experience. Wish I'd known more when I first got burned. Maybe if I did this right after the first burns, I'd still have all my strength and flexibility. I used to be surprisingly supple." He smirks as he goes and opens the door, keen on finding a way to make some caps.
[12:59] * Logic_Gates is standing right in front of him. He looks dead into Purple_Kay's eyes. "I give up."
[12:59] * Purple_Kay cocks an eyebrow. "Give up what? "
[12:59] <TenMihara|GM>  Proverb spies a space where someone ripped most of a flier off the board. It seemed to be a bounty poster, for someone who's name began with an H, but the picture and other details are missing.
[13:01] * Proverb frowns. "Well... th-that's just great..."
[13:01] * Harmony sighs. "I wonder how many caps it would have paid..."
[13:02] <Proverb> "Probably a lot..."
[13:03] * Proverb looks over the board for any other jobs.
[13:03] * Logic_Gates raises, and then shoves the stack of grid paper into Purple_Kay. "I read the documents and tried to replicate the schematic for the sword thing like you challenged me to. So, I tried, and I got a lot of other things, but I couldn't remember my proofs on thermal conductivity. So, I tried a lot of other means, and couldn't find a way to make it go on fire. So, I'm sorry. I give up for now."
[13:06] * Razor rolls out of bed herself, doing her own stretches (though more reflexive and much less deliberate and methodical). She never sleeps without her armor on, so she's pretty much good to go, as always. You never know when somepony will try to shank you in the middle of the night, after all.
[13:06] <TenMihara|GM>  The job board contains some gathering assignments, another Caravan Escort, A couple other bounties that weren't torn off, and that Foal's advertisement for Cactus Juice from before.
[13:07] * Purple_Kay leans down and whispers, "It was more to keep it secret from the Kid than a challenge for you. If you wanna sneak off and see what those engineers came up with, I'll show ya. Just don't let Razor know, I want it to be a surprise." He takes the stack of papers. "Although I can't wait to look through this. Mechanical things click for me, but the arcane science stuff, not so much."
[13:11] * Purple_Kay looks back over his shoulder to the others in the room while he hooves Logic_Gates the schematics he found the other day. "Don't get in too much trouble. Giggy and I are going to check the job board, then maybe find Bottlecap, I've got a few questions for her."
[13:13] <TenMihara|GM>  Bottlecap went back to her office, grumblign about the wub wakeup
[13:13] * Logic_Gates blinks. He almost seemed disappointed with that. "Oh." He looked behind him. "Oh. Alright." He started whispering back. "Well, first I tried to make something that carried a voltage. But I figured that wouldn't set it on fire, it would just shock it a lot and maybe screw up arcano-tech. So, then I thought, maybe if I can put a steady flow of gasoline on the blade, it would remain on fire....
[13:13] * Logic_Gates ...But, then I realized that it wouldn't work for ignition. Should still work for some acids, though. So, then I thought, screw the blade part, make it a hammer with a shape charge on the sledge. Only, that wouldn't set things on fire as much as it would just blow them up. So, then I thought about using magic hard light, which wouldn't cause fire as much as it would simply melt through...
[13:13] * Logic_Gates ...things, and then finally got sick of it and thought that balefire counted. But that wouldn't burn them as much as it would simply wither their bodies. So, I just drew you up a liquid nitrogen thrower as an apology." He seems like he isn't happy about this as he walks beside Purple_Kay.
[13:14] * Harmony is still looking over the job board, but figures it is best to wait for Purple_Kay to decide.
[13:14] * Razor uses this time to eat some breakfast! Eating things is important.
[13:15] <TenMihara|GM>  Shufflign through the papers, Purple_Kay gets some idea of waht Logic's ramblings mean. While the components may not be easy to come by, a lot of his ideas could be interchanged with the existing sword design for the Phoenix Talon. As well, the Cryo-thrower thing is almost identical to the kind of Flamers the Burning boys used, and might be rigged up with some simpler modifications.
[13:16] <TenMihara|GM>  *Burner Boys
[13:17] * Harmony eats a can of cram while waiting.
[13:18] * Purple_Kay nods along as they walk. "This is really good work. I'm impressed. The disruption blade is inspired. And you almost nailed down their exact solution with the gasoline blade. Thicken it up, use napalm or something similar, and you're almost there. Considering they worked months on it and where a team of engineers..."
[13:19] * Purple_Kay "As I said, it's inspired work. The mechanics are off in a few places, but that's why you have me."
[13:19] * Green_Field after getting his own food, looks at Razor, "you're good at killing things."
[13:21] * Razor eyes Green_Field in annoyance. This already? "Yeah? So?"
[13:21] <Green_Field> "I respect that is all."
[13:22] <TenMihara|GM>  Razor is also pretty good at not-dying
[13:23] * Green_Field also respects her ability to not die.
[13:23] * Logic_Gates scratches his chin. "I wasn't sure on some of the tolerances, so I gave you a maximum and minimum space allowed on most of the moving parts with a preference based on the mathematical center of a bell curve to see performance . I didn't know what measurements in terms of voltage and that sort of thing would lead to maximum performance, so I just kind of watched a lot of 'Royal Battle Royale'...
[13:23] * Logic_Gates ...and made a guess from there."
[13:23] * Razor is definitely good at not-dying. She snorts at Green_Field's comment. "And you felt the need to just tell me?"
[13:24] * Proverb is sitting next to Harmony, also munching some Cram.
[13:24] <Green_Field> "Do you not like getting compliments?"
[13:24] <TenMihara|GM>  Proverb has the choice of a couple other bounties, some fetch quests, and a Caravan escort
[13:25] * Proverb looks to see which pays the most.
[13:25] <TenMihara|GM>  The Caravan Escort is apparently headed the the headquarters of a group called 'The Society', and has a rather nice pay attached.
[13:26] * Purple_Kay nods along, the board is coming into view. "This cryo-thrower idea has a lot of promise. I worked on something similar back when... I was working on something like it. Theory is sound. Could rig a standard flamer up as one without too much trouble.
[13:27] * Proverb waves a wing to PK.
[13:28] <TenMihara|GM>  Purple_Kay and Logic_Gates pass by the COllegiate booth as they approach the job board. Geeky is there and tries to get Logic's attention while he's deep in conversation
[13:29] * Razor eyes Green_Field again. "I like not being bothered all the time."
[13:30] * Logic_Gates is far too busy talking shop with PK to pay any attention to the collegiate booth. He liked talking about science. It was what he was good at.
[13:31] <TenMihara|GM>  Geeky calls out, "Oi, Logic!"
[13:31] * Purple_Kay waves back to Proverb as they approach. "Gonna have to pick your brain more often, Giggy. Probably have some arcane solutions to mechanical problems I wouldn't think of, and vice versa."
[13:32] * Green_Field turns away from Razor, "you and I have different definitions for 'all the time'."
[13:33] * Purple_Kay "Think your gamer buddy is calling. I'll see what Wishy's found."
[13:34] * Logic_Gates snaps out of it. "Uh." He looks over at the collegiate booth. "Oh. Hey, I'll talk to you on how to read my shorthoof later. Scrublord needs my attention." He decides to step on over to the collegiate booth. He felt a little pang of anxiety as he remembered his submission to the program, but then he realized how easy the questions were on the test and subsequent essay.  "Hey there."
[13:34] <TenMihara|GM>  Geeky nods, "Hey. Your um... results came back late yesterday."
[13:35] * Logic_Gates rose his eyebrow. "And?"
[13:35] * Purple_Kay trots over to Proverb and Harmony. "Didn't stay up too late, did ya kids?"
[13:35] * Harmony smiles and shakes her head. "Of course not, Mister Kay. Though we were woken quite early..."
[13:36] <TenMihara|GM>  Geeky pulls out the sheet, "Dear Mister Gates. While your aptitude scores were impressive, your essay clearly demonstrated that you do not intend to take our courses and goals seriously. If your mental ethic improves, you are welcome to reapply."
[13:36] <TenMihara|GM>  Geeky looks apologetically at Logic_Gates, "What... exactly did you write?"
[13:37] * Purple_Kay "Par for the course around here. Anything interesting on the board?" He looks over it himself.
[13:37] * Razor has had enough. She gives a derisive snort and goes to find where Purple_Kay went.
[13:37] <TenMihara|GM>  Harmony catches sight of the Caravan Escort, it's pay... and then it's destination
[13:37] <TenMihara|GM>  Purple_Kay also spots the space left by the torn off flier
[13:38] * Harmony stares at the escort job for a moment, but says nothing.
[13:39] * Logic_Gates blinks. "I wrote that I'm doing this to learn a cloudwalking spell so that I can get up to Neighvarro so I can complete my collection with their copy of "Shaved Neighponese Clams 3." He furrowed his brow. He failed a test? Because he told the truth?
[13:39] * Proverb studies the escort job too. "What's th-the Society...?"
[13:40] * Green_Field finishing up eating, get's and leaves the room, figuring that he ought to see what the other are up too.
[13:40] * Harmony frowns at Proverb. "Nothing we should be involved in..."
[13:40] <Proverb> "But...b-but what i-is it?"
[13:41] * Purple_Kay scruitinizes the torn bit of bounty. Trying to see if he can glean anything else from the wayward scrap.
[13:41] <Harmony> "Nothing. Drop it. ...Please."
[13:41] <Proverb> "Oh... uhm... o-okay..."
[13:41] <TenMihara|GM>  The name started with an 'H', is about all that can still be seen
[13:42] * Proverb flicks her ears and looks at her hooves.
[13:43] * Purple_Kay snorts and looks to the caravan posting going to the Society. "They are big players in the Hoof. Fancy themselves high society types, hence the name I suppose. Never paid them much mind myself."
[13:45] * Logic_Gates glares at Geeky for a long time, then grits his teeth and starts stomping back to the Security room, looking an odd mix of thoughtful, confused, and very, very upset.
[13:45] * Purple_Kay "Say, Wishy, will you go check on Logic? He's talking to his gamer buddy."
[13:46] * Razor approaches Purple_Kay and the others. "What are you doing?"
[13:46] <TenMihara|GM>  The shipment details for the Caravan mentions wines, cheeses and some other perishable foodstuffs, resulting in the desire to make both haste and be protected, both because of the cargo, and the chance that something headed for the Society would be a big target
[13:47] * Harmony looks to Purple_Kay, frown still set. "...We should look for another Job. I do not recommend you involve yourself with the Society."
[13:47] * Proverb blinks, and then nods. She stands, and trots off to where Logic_Gates was.
[13:49] * Purple_Kay "Just looking over the job board real quick. I need to go talk to Bottlecap. Meet back here in a bit?" He looks over to Harmony. "Don't suppose you'd come with an old stallion to use your charm if he needs it? I've got an idea that may get us some extra money, but Bottlecap may need some convincing."
[13:50] * Harmony slowly nods her head. "I would not mind." She dips her head in a bow. "Lead on."
[13:51] * Purple_Kay trots on toward Bottlecap's office, waiting until they are out of earshot of the rest before speaking. "Mind if I confide something?"
[13:51] * Proverb comes trotting over to Logic_Gates. "Uhm, h-hey Logic... uhm, w-what's wrong...?"
[13:51] * Harmony follows PK and quirks her head. "I... do not mind. What is on your mind?"
[13:53] * Purple_Kay "I care for them. All three, they mean a lot to me. In ways I haven't cared for ponies in a long, long time. So I have to look out for them." He stumbles a bit on his bum legs, but recovers quickly. "I don't know you well, but I do know Wishy has fallen for you."'
[13:55] * Logic_Gates has decided to shut himself in his room. He started to pace around around, looking overwhelmingly mentally active. "No, this is a trick. They know I did well, and this is a test. I have to show them that I take science very seriously. How can I do that? Should I show them my schematics? No, then they'll just think I got a friend to do it. Mental ethic? I lack mental ethic? What does that...
[13:55] * Logic_Gates ...even mean? Do they not know that I take 'Shaved Neighponese Clams 3' very seriously? They must. I mean, for fuck's sake, it's 'Shaved Neighponese Clams 3'."
[13:56] * Harmony remains silent before slowly nodding her head. "Yes, I have... noticed as much."
[13:56] <Proverb> "Uhm... L-Logic...?"
[13:56] * Razor shrugs. If they were looking for more job, she might as well go restock on supplies. She heads off to go shopping.
[13:57] <TenMihara|GM>  Geeky feels bad for Logic really, but has to stay there and mind the booth
[13:58] * Purple_Kay turns and puts an  injured hoof on her chest. "If she cares for you, then I do too. So I need to know. Is a bounty on a pony whose name starts with 'H' and a fear of the Society who are rather innocuous if snooty  a coincidence? Or is there something I need to know?"
[13:59] * Logic_Gates circles around, lifting up nubs of pencils, seemingly ignoring everyone else. "I need a spell. I need a big spell to prove that I take my science very seriously. What can I do? Okay, so I can cast a phase spell, but that's not very dazzling. Need something more flashy. Transform spell? Could work. Could definitely work, but what do I do?"
[13:59] * Logic_Gates seems to be speaking faster and faster, as if his brain was building up speed.
[13:59] <Proverb> "LOGIC!"
[14:00] * Logic_Gates blinks and looks at Proverb, looking rather stressed. "What?"
[14:00] * Proverb is standing in the doorway of the security room, looking worried. "Uhm, a-a-are you o-okay?"
[14:00] * Logic_Gates "Fine." He said, going back to his pacing around in circles.
[14:01] * Proverb frowns. "Wh-what happened...?"
[14:01] * Harmony recoils from his hoof and blinks. She looks away, as if wanting to run before shivering and looking back to Purple_Kay. "No. It is not a coincidence. The bounty is most likely for my head."
[14:03] * Purple_Kay gives a curt nod. "Then we'll have to keep an eye out. Somepony around here took it off the board. Probably because they saw you. I'll assume that is why Society is a no-go?"
[14:04] * Logic_Gates continued pacing, his speech building up, disrupted and slowed from his interruption. "Said I lack mental ethic. Said that I don't take classes seriously, so they're not going to take me. I told them the truth, so I have to think that I just haven't proven myself enough. So, I need a spell. Hey, do you want to be a volunteer for an arcano-scientific endeavor? I need to test a few spells."
[14:04] * Harmony looks to Purple_Kay, confused and surprised. "Correct, b-but...You... are not going to turn me in?"
[14:04] <Proverb> "Uhm... I... d-d-don't kn-know?"
[14:05] <Proverb> "Wh-wh-what a-are the, the sp-p-pells g-gonna do?"
[14:06] * Purple_Kay chuckles. "And break Wishy's heart? No. I'd walk through fire for any of them, and I speak from experience. No, you're one of mine now. We'll have to take a different job. That just leaves the matter of the nickname... I'm thinking 'Beau'. Cutie, Hot Stuff, that kinda thing just comes off as demeaning."
[14:07] * Harmony sniffs and furrows her brow before giving Purple_Kay a quick hug, backing away soon after. "Thank you... Truly."
[14:07] * Green_Field enters the lobby and sees the others around. Noticing Purple_Kay's and Harmony's body language, stands by a wall to wait for them to finish talking to not interrupt.
[14:08] <TenMihara|GM>  The hug kinda hurts because of Kay's ouchies
[14:08] * Logic_Gates seems to be picking up speed again. "Might turn you into a cactus of indeterminate origin. Might turn you into looking like 'Bombshell' from the Wingboner television special, magazine, and monthly subscription service from 47-59. Could turn you into an owl or something else. Interested?"
[14:09] <Proverb> "W-Would y-y-y-you b-be a-a-a-able t-to t-t-turn m-m-me b-back?" She squeaks out, obviously very nervous about the prospect.
[14:10] * Logic_Gates scratches his chin. "No. Wears off in about five minutes, though."
[14:11] <Proverb> "O-oh... w-w-well, i-if it w-w-wears o-off... w-well, uhm, I... I g-g-guess I c-c-can h-help y-you..."
[14:11] * Purple_Kay bites down a bit during the hug, but hopes he covered well enough. Don't want pretty mares thinking he doesn't like a hug now and again. "You're welcome, Beau." He turns and heads toward Bottlecap's office. "The Bottlecap thing was only half cover, so let's pay her a visit."
[14:12] * Harmony smiles and wipes her eyes before following after Purple_Kay.
[14:15] <TenMihara|GM>  Bottlecap's office door is part way open, and the mare herself is going over some paperwork with a large pot of coffee nearby
[14:15] * Purple_Kay knocks politely at the door.
[14:15] <TenMihara|GM>  Bottlecap looks up, "You again? What's up this time?'
[14:17] * Purple_Kay "Business. I'm curious what it takes to set up a stall here in Megamart? I do a fair bit of traveling, but I am a master mechanic. I'd like to inquire about setting up a stall when I'm in town to do repairs and customizations."
[14:18] * Logic_Gates stands up on both hind legs, horn glowing a bright, radioactive green. "Let's try it, then! Experiment mark one on first pegasus test subject!" With stomp of his hooves, he aims his magic and fires a beam of blinding green light...
[14:19] * Proverb winces and closes her eye tight.
[14:19] <TenMihara|GM>  Bottlecap raises an eyebrow and rubs her chin with a hoof. "Interesting. Haven't had any new stalls in a while. Hold on a sec and lemme check the floor plan." She pulls out a map of the Megamart main floor.
[14:20] * Purple_Kay finds himself hoping if there is a spot, and the price is right, he ends up across from that workbench selling jerk who didn't appreciate his genius.
[14:23] <TenMihara|GM>  Bottlecap looks to Purple_Kay, "Now, there's one problem. If you want to set up shop here, but aren't goign to stay here to run it, I can give up to spot to a more permanent venture any time I see fit."
[14:25] * Purple_Kay "Of course. I can set up my portable workbench anywhere, although if it was always in the spot that would help recogniztion. A permanent stall would obviously get precidence. I just didn't want to set up somewhere and break some law."
[14:26] <TenMihara|GM>  Poof... nothing happens.
[14:27] <TenMihara|GM>  Apparently Proverb's hesitation about the spell resulted in her not being an entirely willing target
[14:28] * Proverb blinks.
[14:28] * Proverb examines herself. "Uhm... n-nothing h-h-happened..."
[14:29] * Logic_Gates grit his teeth. "Are you unwilling to do it?"
[14:29] * Proverb shakes her head. "N-no!"
[14:30] <TenMihara|GM>  Bottlecap ponders that, "Well..." she looks over the floor plan, "How big is your intended booth or stall? I'veo nly got one large space near the back right now, but there's a few smaller ones, so if you can fit into those, they're cheaper to rent and if one gets taken while you're away, there might be another one elsewhere next time."
[14:30] * Logic_Gates narrows his eyes. No, no fuck you. He is good enough, collegiate. "... Trial two!" He once again rears back and casts it again, stomping on the ground with an admittedly kind of placid popping sound.
[14:30] * Proverb doesn't flinch this time.
[14:31] * Green_Field watches Logic_Gates and Proverb amused.
[14:32] * Razor is pretty satisfied with her haul. Now she's ready to earn some more caps! She heads back to the board to wait.
[14:33] * Purple_Kay reaches into his pack and pulls out his pony-portable workbench. He gives it a quick kick and it unfolds into a functional workstation. "About this big." He grins. "Plus maybe a banner."
[14:33] <TenMihara|GM>  POOF!
[14:33] <TenMihara|GM>  Proverb is an owl now
[14:35] * Proverb ...hoots.
[14:35] <TenMihara|GM>  Bottlecap blinks, "Huh. That's neat. You just gonna work repairs off this thing or did you want to actually sell the tables themselves?"
[14:36] * Purple_Kay "I could work as a distributer. I designed it myself, but I sold the rights. Repairs and customizations, mostly. Although I could probably arrange to sell these here retail."
[14:37] <TenMihara|GM>  Bottlecap mulls that over, "Well, I got a guy here selling workbenches and such already, mostly for home usage. I suppose a portable one could fill a niche market."
[14:38] * Harmony steps closer to Bottlecap. "In seeing that, what's your pricing for a space?"
[14:39] <TenMihara|GM>  Bottlecap looks to Harmony and Purple_Kay, "300 Caps a Month flat. You can be open weekends if you want, but less people seem to come by then."
[14:43] * Harmony looks to be mulling it over, lightly nodding her head at the details. "I was thinking more in the range of 200. This is, after all, a completely new product. One that could sell at a premium, I might add. It could bring in business for other stalls as well, including our own and any of your own ventures in Megamart."
[14:44] * Proverb hoots at Logic_Gates.
[14:45] * Logic_Gates looks at Proverb. "... Owl. Didn't expect that."
[14:45] * Proverb hoots again, turning her head all the way around.
[14:45] <TenMihara|GM>  Bottlecap shakes her head, "It's not about the product, it's about the trade. Maybe he could bring in business, but ultimately he would be benefiting more from it than I would."
[14:47] <TenMihara|GM>  Bottlecap notes, "However, since I could get the rent from someone else at the same time for the time that you're not here to fill the slot, I can do 250."
[14:48] * Logic_Gates blinks and attempts to take the Provy-owl back outside and rejoins the others. "So, I turned Proverb into a bird so that I could feel better about myself."
[14:49] * Proverb pertches on Logic_Gates' head, hooting pitifully.
[14:50] * Harmony smiles. "While that may be true... You said it yourself," Harmony gestures a hoof to the door. "you haven't had a new stall in quite some time, and now is your chance to not only fill your market, but benefit your settlement with the possibility of new trade." She nods. "How about 220?"
[14:51] <TenMihara|GM>  Bottlecap shakes her head, "Can't do any lower than 250."
[14:52] * Harmony nods. "Fair enough, I suppose. Though may we give you payment to start our month the next time we visit?"
[14:53] <TenMihara|GM>  Bottlecap shrugs, "Up to you when to start, not really my concern."
[14:53] <TenMihara|GM>  Proverb changes back while in top of Logic_Gates
[14:53] * Logic_Gates falls flat on his face with all the extra weight.
[14:54] * Proverb leaps off Logic_Gates. "S-Sorry!"
[14:54] * Harmony bows her head to Bottlecap. "Of course, thank you. It was a pleasure to meet you."
[14:54] * Logic_Gates notes that his was probably for the best, anyway. "So, what's being a bird like?"
[14:55] <Proverb> "Uhm... l-like... uhh... I d-d-dunno what t-to compare it t-to..."
[14:55] * Logic_Gates blinks. "Other adjectives?"
[14:56] <Proverb> "Uhm... sm-m-mall?"
[14:56] * Proverb was already pretty small to begin with though.
[14:58] * Logic_Gates blinks. "And?"
[14:59] <Proverb> "A-And... uhm... I c-c-couldn't t-t-talk..."
[14:59] <Logic_Gates> "Did you still feel like you?"
[14:59] * Proverb nods.
[15:00] <Proverb> "Except I w-w-was an o-owl..."
[15:02] * Purple_Kay packs up the workbench and gives a short thank you and goodbye before heading out with Harmony to join the others. Once they are outside he speaks. "Good work in there, Beau."
[15:03] * Harmony shrugs, following him out. "It could have gone better."
[15:04] * Purple_Kay "When they don't look at me and charge me double, I consider it a win."
[15:04] * Logic_Gates hung his head. "Not going to prove that I'm sane that way." He mumbled.
[15:05] * Harmony chuckles. "To the job board next, or do we have more business to attend?"
[15:05] * Proverb tilts her head at Logic_Gates. "But, b-but it worked!"
[15:05] * Purple_Kay "Ain't got the caps to blow on supplies, so I suppose we meet up with the rest and see what works best for us."
[15:07] * Harmony nods. "Actually, I need to buy some supplies. I'll meet you at the board?"
[15:08] * Purple_Kay "I'll come with. Don't want to leave you alone, considering. Doubt anypony would try anything with Gun up there, but still, I'm a worrier."
[15:08] * Logic_Gates paces back and forth through the entire store. "Gotta do something. Gotta do something." He grimaces. "Fine. We'll call the collegiate a test run of our plan in Neighvarro. Grab your gear, we're heading up there. They want to know I'm determined? I'll hack their maneframe and put myself in their system as an admin. I'll be determined then!"
[15:09] * Harmony nods and wanders to find some alcohols.
[15:14] * Razor is hanging around by the board. She's bored! So bored!
[15:15] * Harmony returns to the board after buying a trove of alcohol.
[15:15] * Harmony smiles at Razor.
[15:16] * Purple_Kay grins. "Hey, Kid." He gives the board another look, focusing on the stuff he just skimmed last time.
[15:16] * Proverb blinks. "L-Logic... w-we c-c-can't. W-We're t-t-taking a j-job to get s-some caps right n-now..."
[15:18] * Green_Field continues to watch the others from the wall.
[15:22] <TenMihara|GM>  There are a couple of gathering missions and a couple other bounties
[15:24] * Razor gives a bored and semi-frustrated sigh. "What took you guys so long? I've been waiting /forever/!"
[15:25] * Purple_Kay gets out a piece of paper and jots down the bounty information along with a quick sketch if one is given, then focuses on the gathering missions. He looks over to Razor briefly. "Had to see Bottlecap about renting some space. Figure if we spend any time here I can earn us some caps doing repairs. Not much on the board." He takes a moment to make sure there is a proper warning about the goo still visible on the boa
[15:29] * Razor scratches a hoof at the ground. "So? What are we planning?"
[15:29] <TenMihara|GM>  The goo warning is still there, but it doesn't seem all that urgent
[15:31] * Purple_Kay snorts. "Well, unless you want to go gatherin' cactus water, not much. Guess we could head to Flank, see if they have better options. Did Giggy clue Bottlecap in on the attack at Chapel? This warning seems weak for what's out there."
[15:32] <Green_Field> "Perhaps you should show them your shoulder to demonstrate the point."
[15:40] * Razor frowns. "Nothing interesting at all? No 'Kill this bitch' or 'Fuck him up'?" She eyes the board suspiciously.
[15:41] * Purple_Kay "Well, I don't think I want any part of manticore or hydra hunting. What about this bandit fellow? Bonus for his underlings."
[15:42] * Purple_Kay takes out and eats a pack of noodles absentmindedly
[15:42] * Razor grins. "That sounds fun! Anything's better than nothing!"
[15:42] * Harmony nods. "That sounds fine to me as well."
[15:43] * Purple_Kay looks around as he eats. They are near the collegiate stand, so that foal's stand should be somewhere around here. His curiousity is piqued.
[15:44] <TenMihara|GM>  The Foal's Cactus Juice Stand is manned by a young filly wearing a Crusader's Cape. She has a big pitcher of a yellowish-green liquid.
[15:44] * Proverb is with Logic_Gates, wherever that is.
[15:45] * Purple_Kay walks over to the stand with a smile. "Howdy there. Cactus juice, huh?"
[15:46] <TenMihara|GM>  The filly looks up and smiles, "Yuppers. Nothin's Quenchier! Two caps a glass."
[15:47] <TenMihara|GM>  The details says that the bandit's are hiding out somewhere between Megamart and the lower half of Toll, doing hit and runs on Caravans.
[15:47] * Purple_Kay scratches his chin. "I think I remember something from my youth about not drinking cactus juice... This stuff safe?"
[15:49] <TenMihara|GM>  The filly nods, "Yuppers! Ith got all of the flavour and none of the methy thide effecth."
[15:50] * Razor watches Purple_Kay as he walks off and does stuff. Ugh. Can't he see that she's horribly bored? Why's he wasting so much time!?
[15:51] * Purple_Kay nods. "Alright, I'll take a glass." He gets out two caps and pays the filly. Even if the sign over there said 1 cap a glass.
[15:51] * Harmony sits and waits for Purple_Kay to be ready to go.
[15:51] * Proverb comes trotting over, nudging Harmony a little.
[15:51] * Green_Field watches Purple_Kay talk to the foal, curious as to the result.
[15:52] * Harmony turns her attention to Proverb and smiles. "Hello, Proverb."
[15:52] <TenMihara|GM>  The filly knows how to extort. She pours a glass and gives it to Kay
[15:52] * Proverb smiles back. "H-Hey... uhm, s-s-so wh-what a-are we d-doing?"
[15:53] * Purple_Kay downs it in one go, he figures its safer that way. He might enjoy the taste, but if he doesn't, at least it will be down.
[15:54] * Harmony point to Purple_Kay. "Just waiting on Mister Kay... afterwards, I believe we will be pursuing a bounty on bandits."
[15:55] <TenMihara|GM>  The Cactus Juice is actually pretty tasty, but not all -that- thirst quenching
[15:56] * Proverb nods. "Ok-kay... L-Logic_Gates t-turned me i-i-into a-an owl..."
[15:57] * Purple_Kay smacks his lips a few times. "That's good stuff... kiddo?"
[15:57] * Harmony quirks her head. "What?" She looks Proverb over. "An owl?"
[15:57] <TenMihara|GM>  The filly smiles, "Thankth for your patronage."
[15:58] * Purple_Kay "You're welcome, squirt. We'll see you around." He turns and trots to the others, ready to go banditing now that his thirst is quenched-ish.
[15:59] * Proverb nods. "Y-Yeah..."
[15:59] * Razor gives Proverb a confused look. What the hell is she talking about?
[15:59] <Proverb> "I-It wore off..."
[16:00] * Harmony scratches her head. "Odd... I bet you were an adorable owl."
[16:00] <TenMihara|GM>  She was a feathery fluffleicious little friend
[16:01] * Proverb eeps.
[16:01] * Proverb blushes slightly at that.
[16:01] * Harmony chuckles.
[16:03] * Purple_Kay limps up to the group. "Well, burning daylight. Let's make for Toll. And keep your eyes pealed as we go. Got a bad feelin', so let's be extra cautious as we leave."
[16:04] * Proverb nods. "L-let's go th-then."
[16:06] * Razor rolls her eyes and heads off. "You heard him! Time's wasting!" She keeps an eye out ahead for trouble!
[16:07] * Purple_Kay looks around to make sure the whole group is together as they leave.
[16:07] * Harmony follows, ready for bandit hunting.
[16:08] * Proverb trots along next to Harmony
[16:08] <TenMihara|GM>  As the group makes their way to Toll form Megamart, following the road eventually leads them to what looks like an abandoned Caravan. Three overturned wagons with markings of a skirmish
[16:09] * Proverb frowns, taking to the air immediately and scanning the surrounding area through her scope.
[16:09] * Purple_Kay stops and tries to see if there is any motion within the circled wagons.
[16:10] * Green_Field stops next to PK to try and spot survivers.
[16:10] * Harmony looks around for any life or other ponies.
[16:10] <TenMihara|GM>  Purple_Kay trips over a dislodged axel and falls on his face
[16:11] * Razor draws her weapon, and makes her way around the wagons, keeping an eye out for trouble.
[16:11] * Purple_Kay is happy he didn't fall on something important. Like his pretty leg. With a grunt and a curse he gets back up on wobbly legs.
[16:12] <TenMihara|GM>  Harmony, Proverb and Green however, do manage to notice something. The signs of the skirmish seem to come from one direction, suggesting the vantage used by the attackers. Signs point to a small rock formation not far off the road.
[16:12] <TenMihara|GM>  Razor knows fights, and catches sight of it too. Also, he sees a glint, suggesting the caravan might not have been picked entirely clean
[16:13] * Green_Field quickly checks on Purple_Kay, "you all right?"
[16:13] <TenMihara|GM>  *she
[16:13] * Proverb flies towards the rock, rilfe raised.
[16:13] * Purple_Kay nods. "I'm fine. Couldn't have ended up with a bum leg on each side, that would have been too easy."
[16:14] * Green_Field helps him up.
[16:15] * Harmony draws her plasma pistol and moves closer to the rock.
[16:15] * Razor eyes the rock formation, opting to take a cover-protected route toward the thing she spotted in the wreckage.
[16:18] * Purple_Kay rolls his neck when he gets stable again with the Doc's help. He looks about the destroyed caravan see how well it was picked clean, or if maybe the caravaneers were the target. Their own ambush still fresh in his mind as his hind leg hitched.
[16:18] <TenMihara|GM>  Using the wagons themselves for cover, Razor finds, buried under some ruined clothes that the bandits didn't think of any value, is a small lockbox
[16:19] * Razor frowns. She doesn't like locks! She double-checks to make sure the lockbox is actually locked.
[16:19] <TenMihara|GM>  It's locked, naturally
[16:20] * Razor growls in frustration, and calls out, "Hey! Somepony open this!"
[16:22] * Purple_Kay grumbles. The fact they haven't seen any bodies is concerning.
[16:22] * Proverb looks over. "Uhm, o-o-op-pen what?"
[16:23] * Green_Field walks up to and begins searching closer for survivers.
[16:26] <TenMihara|GM>  Green_Field doesn't notice, amidst the skirmish markings, the signs of bodies being dragged off.
[16:26] * Razor taps the box with her hoof. "This damn box! It's locked!"
[16:29] <TenMihara|GM>  Purple_Kay sees the signs of bodies being dragged off and then some. She finds a bullet casing that doesn't look quite right.
[16:29] <TenMihara|GM>  *He
[16:30] * Proverb nods, landing near Razor and pulling out her screwdriver and bobby pins. "Uhm, o-okay..." She attempts to pick the lock on the lockbox.
[16:30] * Purple_Kay picks up the casing and looks at it with a keen machinist's eye.
[16:30] * Harmony heads back to the group and looks to the lockbox.
[16:33] * Purple_Kay snorts. "Ok folks, tighten it up. We have tracks and they weren't trying to kill them. Means they are probably alive for now, but probably not being taken someplace nice. Let's see if we can't catch up and take them by surprise."
[16:33] <TenMihara|GM>  Proverb fumbles the lock on the first time, but after focusing through Razor's scowling, she really gets it good.
[16:33] <TenMihara|GM>  The lockbox pops open
[16:34] * Proverb opens it and looks at the contents.
[16:35] * Harmony looks over Proverb's shoulder.
[16:36] <TenMihara|GM>  The contents are pretty good, considering. A sachel of caps, a 9mm pistol with an extended magazine, and bullets enough to fill it.
[16:36] <TenMihara|GM>  (20)
[16:36] <TenMihara|GM>  The pistol also has a small scope on it
[16:36] * Proverb takes the pistol, squeeing a bit
[16:39] * Harmony checks how many caps are in the satchel.
[16:39] * Purple_Kay takes a good look at the tracks and plans their course in his head as they finish fiddling with the safe.
[16:41] * Proverb now is in the possession of two 9mm pistols, one of which has mods! "Yay~!"
[16:42] * Harmony doesn't want to be greedy... She brings the satchel over to Purple_Kay and hoofs it over to him.
[16:44] * Purple_Kay stows it without looking. "Tracks lead this way. Rubber bullets so they wanted them alive, and probably not for something pleasant. Let's go, we got ponies to free and ponies to kill."
[16:45] <TenMihara|GM>  The tracks stop at the rock formation.
[16:45] * Razor is pretty disappointed in the contents. Why can't a locked box ever have things /she/ likes? Well, besides caps. Everypony likes caps.
[16:45] * Proverb starts switching mods from the pistol to her other pistol, which was in slightly better condition.
[16:48] * Proverb leaves the scope on the other one for now, tucking it into her bags.
[16:50] * Purple_Kay starts picking his way along the trail, keeping a mindful eye on the rock formation for any sign of a sentry or ponies. He isn't much of a sneaker, but he tries his best.
[16:51] * Proverb takes to the air again.
[16:51] * Harmony follows Purple_Kay.
[16:52] <TenMihara|GM>  The Rock Formation looks like a bunch of rocks, but on top of a big one in the middle is a tiny pebble that looks like it should be rolling off but isn't. It can really only be seen on a close inspection, and passers by wouldn't notice
[16:53] * Purple_Kay gives it a thourough inspection when he reaches it. Could be a trap of some sort... or something. Whatever it is is odd and unnatural.
[16:55] * Green_Field hang back, it's never a good idea for the medic to get hurt.
[16:55] * Razor heads over into position behind Purple_Kay, ready for a fight!
[16:58] <TenMihara|GM>  There's a small grove on the big rock that makes it look as though it's been rubbed by the small one back and forth
[17:00] <TenMihara|GM>  Purple_Kay figures that if he flicks the pebble to the other position, something will happen, but he can't be 100% sure if that's the real way to open it up or if it's a trap
[17:01] * Purple_Kay snorts. Hidden entrance? "Well, let's see what it does. Y'all get back, I doubt it's a trap, probably just a hidey hole of some kind, but better safe than sorry."
[17:02] * Harmony clears her throat. "If it is a trap, shouldn't someone uninjured test it?"
[17:02] * Purple_Kay "Little limp hardly counts as injured. I'll be fine."
[17:03] * Harmony nods and backs away.
[17:04] * Purple_Kay makes sure they are back and manipulates the rock-lever-thing
[17:04] <TenMihara|GM>  *click*
[17:04] * Purple_Kay tries to track the source of the click.
[17:05] <TenMihara|GM>  Nothing happens for a moment, then there's a grinding sound and a bit of shifting in the dirt beneath it. The big rock moves aside, revealing a tunnel.
[17:06] * Proverb lands, frowning. "Well... th-that's... i-interesting..."
[17:06] <Green_Field> "Efficient."
[17:07] * Purple_Kay sucks his teeth. "Fancy for your average bandits." He appraises the tunnel, trying to see how many they can fit at a time.
[17:07] <TenMihara|GM>  It's a one-by-one passage, and can only just barely accomodate Purple_Kay's larger build
[17:08] * Razor takes a few steps forward, peering down the tunnel curiously
[17:08] <Proverb> "Uhm.. p-perhaps I should g-go f-f-first..."
[17:08] <TenMihara|GM>  The tunnel is not lit
[17:09] * Purple_Kay "Fightin' in there is gonna be Kid's kinda work. How about you lead the way Kid? I'll follow. Proverb can watch our backs and the rest in between us?"
[17:10] * Green_Field lighting his horn, "let's get to it then."
[17:11] * Proverb nods, drawing her pistol.
[17:11] * Purple_Kay nods. "If we can let our eyes adjust and function that might be better, less obvious we are coming. If we can't we'll have to have you give us that light."
[17:11] * Green_Field get's out his revolver.
[17:12] * Harmony still has her pistol out.
[17:12] * Green_Field shutting off the spell, "seems reasonable."
[17:13] * Purple_Kay kicks his saddle over to Honeycomb rounds and follows Razor in.
[17:13] * Green_Field goes in next.
[17:13] * Razor is glad to lead the way down the tunnel, as long as she can see properly. She heads in, and waits for her eyes to adjust before venturing further.
[17:13] * Harmony follows after Green.
[17:15] * Proverb goes after Harmony. She's supposed to be watching their backs, and watch Harmony's back she does~
[17:15] <TenMihara|GM>  The tunnel goes down a ways, eventually opening up to a bigger space. Only when the group reaches the bigger space to they see a faint bit of light coming from further down.
[17:17] * Purple_Kay makes every attempt to be quiet as he scans for movement of any sign of traps or trouble. Particularly traps, ready to clamp down on Razor's tail and stop her if he sees anything. With a door like that, traps make some sense.
[17:18] * Razor is going pretty slow, concentrating on not tripping over her own hooves in the dark.
[17:27] <TenMihara|GM>  As Razor emerges into the wider space, she feels something brush the base of her hoof.
[17:27] <TenMihara|GM>  BEEP
[17:28] <TenMihara|GM>  A little orange light starts blinking in the darkness
[17:29] <TenMihara|GM>  Razor manages to roll away as the mine detonates
[17:31] <TenMihara|GM>  She's still pelted by shramnel though
[17:32] <TenMihara|GM>  Purple_Kay keeps the blast from hitting the others in the tunnel, but takes the brunt of the splash himself.
[17:33] * Proverb yelps in surprise!
[17:34] * Purple_Kay bites back a noise and holds still. watching the light spot for any sign of ponies investigating.
[17:34] * Razor grunts as she's pelted, but isn't too hurt.
[17:34] * Harmony recoils and steps back. Hopefully Proverb's face wasn't too close to her flank...
[17:34] <TenMihara|GM>  Proverb gets a faceful of Harmony plot
[17:35] * Proverb POMFS
[17:35] * Proverb eeps.
[17:36] * Purple_Kay kicks over his ammochanger since the light is a fair clip away, and keeps watching intently.
[17:36] * Harmony walks forward, quite embarrassed herself, but can't help but chuckle, looking back and seeing Proverb's wingboner.
[17:37] <TenMihara|GM>  Harmony can't see said wingboner because the flash of the explosion coupled with the darkness of the cave aside form the trickle of light further down
[17:37] * Harmony lied. She was imagining things.
[17:37] * Purple_Kay whispers harshly. "You okay, Kid?"
[17:38] <TenMihara|GM>  Purple_Kay can't see any movement in the direction of the lighting... yet
[17:39] * Proverb slowly folds her wings back in. She's quite embarassed.
[17:39] <Green_Field> "What now? They were bound to hear that."
[17:39] * Razor mutters, "Yeah... I'm fine."
[17:40] * Purple_Kay leans his head back. "Can you ease into that light, Doc? Don't want to walk into any more of those."
[17:41] * Green_Field lights his horn, faintly at first.
[17:46] <TenMihara|GM>  The light shed from Doc's horn reveals that this is not the only entrance to this chamber. Each other small tunnel has a single mine out in front of it, but each one is place so as not to disrupt the other tunnels. The one the group is currently in also begins to tremble.
[17:47] * Purple_Kay "Move!" If anypony is still in the tunnel, they get yanked out into the room~
[17:47] * Harmony moves as told!
[17:48] * Green_Field gets pulled forward.
[17:48] <TenMihara|GM>  The tunnel collapses as the group is pulled out, that entrance sealed. Purple_Kay's frame braced it just long enough to hold while the group scrambled out
[17:49] * Green_Field getting up, "so much for surprise."
[17:49] <TenMihara|GM>  In addition to the one that has now collapsed, there were four other tunnel entrances to the larger chamber.
[17:49] * Proverb groans.
[17:50] * Green_Field looking around, "very efficient."
[17:50] * Purple_Kay shakes his shoulders  to clear the debris clinging to them, Careful not to step on Proverb sprawled under him, the last to dive to safety.
[17:50] <TenMihara|GM>  The light coming from the far end of the larger chamber shows a bend, and the dirt floor show signs of dragging as well.
[17:50] * Razor gets to her hooves and glances around, ready in case anything jumped out wanting a fight.
[17:50] * Proverb picks up her pistol and gets to her hooves, shaking dirt out of her coat.
[17:52] * Proverb trots out from beneath PK.
[17:53] <TenMihara|GM>  There's no sign or sound of movement just yet.
[17:53] * Purple_Kay makes his way cautiously toward the nearest mine. "No need to leave these here to be set off and completely trap us."
[17:54] * Green_Field comes over to give him direct light.
[17:55] <TenMihara|GM>  Purple_Kay manages to disable the first of the four tunnel collapser mines
[17:55] * Purple_Kay attempts to do the rest unless interrupted.
[17:56] * Green_Field will move with him to give light for each one.
[17:56] <TenMihara|GM>  Purple_Kay manages to disarm two of them, but one of them clicks and beeps as he crosses the wrong wire
[17:59] <TenMihara|GM>  It explodes, with Kay being unable to avoid it because of his existing injuries, and Green_Field, providing the light, catches the splash

[18:01] * Purple_Kay scrabbles back form the tunnel in case the concussion sends it tumbling down as well.
[18:01] <TenMihara|GM>  The Tunnel does indeed collapse.
[18:02] <TenMihara|GM>  Entrance Tunnels 1 and 4 are now sealed, but 2, 3 and 5 (based on order form left to right around the bakc of the cavern) are still available as escape routes.
[18:03] * Purple_Kay sucks his teeth. "Sorry bout that one, Doc. Bad time for a twitch in this damn shoulder."
[18:04] * Green_Field starts checking Purple_Kay over, "I'm more worried about you, you took that one hard."
[18:05] * Purple_Kay grins. "Just a little more shrapnel. Need more iron in my diet." he laughs at his own joke, but it turns into a short coughing fit.
[18:06] * Harmony grimaces, looking at Purple_Kay's poor condition.
[18:06] * Green_Field casting a healing spell, "take this I have some to spare."
[18:06] * Purple_Kay wipes his mouth with a redder hoof and takes a breath, nodding.
[18:07] * Green_Field looking at his much improved condition, "much better."
[18:08] * Purple_Kay is feeling substantially better, although the shrapnel will still need to be dug out later. He's made longer marches with more metal in him.
[18:08] * Green_Field immediately turning to Razor, "you want one too?"
[18:09] * Razor takes a look down the now clear tunnels to get an idea of what's going on. She glances back at Green_Field. "What?"
[18:09] <Green_Field> "A bit of healing of course."
[18:10] * Razor scratches at the ground and glances back to the tunnel she's near. "Make it quick!"
[18:11] * Green_Field 's horn glows again as he casts another heal spell this time on Razor.
[18:12] <TenMihara|GM>  The larger end of the tunnel away from the 5, now 3, entrances has a bend, which is where the light other than Green's horn is comign from.
[18:16] * Purple_Kay checks over the group one more time. He considers sending Proverb ahead to look around that bend, but if they were right there they would have peaked, or be laying in wait. Either way he didn't think the diminuative pegasus the best choice for a lookie-loo. "Let's keep moving. You've got point, Kid."
[18:17] * Harmony readies herself to follow once more.
[18:17] * Razor glances at Purple_Kay. "Which way?"
[18:17] * Proverb takes up position behind Harmony... innuendo intended.
[18:17] * Green_Field returns to his place behind PK.
[18:17] * Purple_Kay indicates the path with the light source and the dragmarks. He follows behind her, switching back to honeycomb.
[18:19] * Green_Field turns his light off, not that it matters at this point.
[18:19] * Razor heads to the indicated tunnel and heads down it.
[18:21] <TenMihara|GM>  The tunnel only leads one way, it's just curved. As they go around the bend, then see something loom into view. The Massive Steel Door of a Stable, marked with the number 84.
