  1. Crumble

  3. Mixing bowl, oven, pie dish.

  5. 8oz/225g plain or wholewheat flour
  6. 5oz/150g soft brown sugar
  7. 3oz/75g butter (room temperature)
  8. 1 teaspoon baking powder
  9. Fruit (amount based on dish)

  11. Place flour and baking powder in mixing bowl, rub butter in until crumbly.
  12. Add sugar and mix in thoroughly.
  13. Freeze when not in use.

  15. To bake, preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius/Gas Mark 4.
  16. Cover the bottom of the dish with fruit and spread the crumble mix over it.
  17. Place on a high shelf in the oven and bake for 30-40 minutes until top is tinged brown.
