- Crumble
- Mixing bowl, oven, pie dish.
- 8oz/225g plain or wholewheat flour
- 5oz/150g soft brown sugar
- 3oz/75g butter (room temperature)
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- Fruit (amount based on dish)
- Place flour and baking powder in mixing bowl, rub butter in until crumbly.
- Add sugar and mix in thoroughly.
- Freeze when not in use.
- To bake, preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius/Gas Mark 4.
- Cover the bottom of the dish with fruit and spread the crumble mix over it.
- Place on a high shelf in the oven and bake for 30-40 minutes until top is tinged brown.
