If I express myself in ways that deceive you,
Maybe inside yourself you should start,
Your exploration of the self
Not my poison tipped dart.

The actions of another,
Remote and at a distance,
Can only touch you
Where there is weak resistance.

So detest all you want
But be careful where you aim it.
Put yourself in the crosshairs
Let your vanity shame it.

Standing at a precipice?
Then you were close when we started.
The gravity you feel wasn't put there by me
Look down off that edge, maybe you'll see.
