  16. BASIC POKEMON STRUCTURE

  20. -special monster can have special ability (passive effect or conditional effect)
  21. -each attack requires x amount energy cards attached
  22. -some attacks require discarding energy

  24. -status effects eg paralysis, flip a coin to determine whether attack is successful

  26. -item/trainer cards, playable for oneshot or lasting effects

  28. -4 play areas: hand, 'in play' ('on the bench' on table), active monster (1 at a time only), discard pile
