- BASIC POKEMON STRUCTURE
- -each monster has HP
- -each monster has some form of attack (up to 2)
- -special monster can have special ability (passive effect or conditional effect)
- -each attack requires x amount energy cards attached
- -some attacks require discarding energy
- -status effects eg paralysis, flip a coin to determine whether attack is successful
- -item/trainer cards, playable for oneshot or lasting effects
- -4 play areas: hand, 'in play' ('on the bench' on table), active monster (1 at a time only), discard pile
- -defeated cards go to discard
- -effect cards may rearrange play areas.
- -Victory condition is 6 prize cards set aside, take one prize card every time an enemy monster is defeated
- -winner when all prize cards are taken
