  1. So hey guys, something has been happening lately that is a big problem but hasn't been treated as such, and it might not seem like a big deal but I just wanted to address it. Often at Regular REL(rules enforcement level) events we've had splits at the top and the person running the tourney goes "Who wants the points". This had lead to some issues with people doing things like rolling dice or playing rock paper scissors to see who gets to win. Even though the prize is being split evenly this is still an issue that can't happen with a sanctioned event.

  3. If you use anything outside of playing a game of magic to decide who wins a round both players (as per magic tournament rules) get DQed without prizes. It's harsh because they don't want someone at a desk to go "Wait so it's basically gambling?" at any point in the game. And yes, it's very unlikely that it will ever happen but there ARE issues with doing it even on a random 8 person draft pod. Thankfully Wil Blanks and I talked with some judges about it (the main issue was WER is stupid and says "WE NEED A WINNER FJDIOSAHFAODUISHF") and hopefully found a way we can put draws in without the system screaming. If that doesn't work we just need people to be willing to scoop to their opp without having to roll to see who gets planeswalker points.

  5. Sorry for this long winded thing, just wanted to talk about something I've seen that shouldn't be an issue any longer!
