  1. It started 2 weeks ago on a Thursday when I got a call from someone that said they reviewed my resume online and that someone else from the agency would be calling me in a few days to set up an interview. Thankfully I got the name and number of the person that was supposed to call. A few days went by and I finally called the number last Wednesday and spoke to someone. They told me to come in Thursday at 6am to fill out some paperwork and gave me the address (In New Brunswick, about a 20 minute drive).

  3. Next morning I get dressed up nice and drive to the place. Didn't see it on the street, so I park at the nearest side street and walk down the street till I find it. Go into the building and it just has a sign saying temp agency pointing down. Went downstairs and the room was pretty much a dirty looking doctor's waiting room with a tile floor. There was only 1 woman there at the time and it looked like they were changing a garbage bag in the back so I just stand there and wait a few minutes. They ask for my ID and SS card and then give me some papers to fill out. At this time a bunch of other people start coming in, and I kid you not, all of them looked like stereotypical mexicans and I quickly noticed that I was the only person dressed up.

  5. I finish filling out all the paperwork and bring it to the front. She checks them and then asks me if I wanted insurance through the agency which was 10% of the paycheck + a fee, which even she said was too expensive and I declined. Then told me the pay is $10.00/hr, hours were 7-4 and could I start that day. I looked at my watch (6:35) and asked if I could start tomorrow (since I wouldn't be able to get there by 7). They said if I didn't take the job today they would just give it to someone else (not sure if this is BS or not). I said I wouldn't be able to make it there by 7 and she just gave me a look and said "as long as you're there by 7:30". So I reluctantly said ok and she gave me the address on a piece of paper and a slip to keep track of my hours. That's it. No interview, no contact name and no other information.

  7. I drive home and get there at around 7am, look up the address and thankfully find out that it's less than 3 miles away (pretty much the only plus side to this entire story). Quickly change, grab something small to eat and for break and leave. Of course this place is hard to find also and the GPS marker was in a place that there weren't any buildings. When I found the place, it was behind another building off a side street. When I got into the building (had to wait for someone to let me in) it was 7:35. They showed me the area I was going to work in and then left me. I was standing there for at least 10 minutes before someone finally gave me something to do. I was supposed to find an order that someone else couldn't find. They showed me what info to look for on the paper and how the aisles were separated by location (NY/NJ/PA). I checked for the aisles for a few minutes and then went back saying I couldn't find it. They passed me on to another person who looked it up in his notepad and it turns out that it was 5 aisles from where it was supposed to be in a section for a different state...

  9. I could go on, but suffice to say, this place is really unorganized, very dirty (especially the bathroom) and most of the people working (including the head guy) seem to have a "don't give a damn attitude". Though a job's a job until I can find a better one.
