The Noorrkongriet republic is separated into thirteen historical clans. Matriarchal at its base, the Thirteen clans range in size from small (10-50) to large (150-350). Each of these clans, for these reason, send their matriarch to represent them (in rare cases it is a male/patriarch) and di-annually these representatives meet to discuss matters of importance among their species.

While there are many smaller clans, the thirteen "Ancaelan" are the most powerful and "original" Noorrkongriet. To handle matters of state on a more regular basis, every decade  the representatives meet and bring forward their candidate for positiob of "Aschkiga" or "Warlord" whom hover sees the bulk of the executive and military matters of the Raan Calium. Under the  are three chosen "Kige" or "Lord" (chosen by the Aschkige himself, usually either his brothers or if he wishes to create bonds among other clans, the most competent son of the other thirteen).

The three Kige often act as sorts of advisory governors of the three regions of the planet (Western, Central, Eastern). While they handle each regions individual needs, the Aschkige directs the assets needed to keep the entire planet stable.

Beneath the Kige is essentially a council chosen by the Kige and rotated every three years. This council is made up exclusively by either older men or women and while not as power as the Kige, have considerable influence in his region. Each council is 15 members strong. The Aschkige has historically meet with all of his Kige and their Duuros (the councils) once a month for an overview/report/planning session for the last and next month.

Militarily speaking, the armed forces are split into two sections: The army and the (space) navy, or the Arrhak and Resnthos. While the Aschkige has the power to command them entirely by himself, he usually gives the charge to two minor lords, or the Siegan. The Siegan Arr handles the doctrine, mobilization, strategy and tactics, as well as the creation of war bands for the army.  The Siegan Res does the same for the space fleet. Each controls and runs each respective branch like a small, semi-autonomous state with their own laws and staff. The Siegan position is for life, usually.

Speaking of the Arrhak, soldiers are often separated into war bands, groups of 500-1000 "men" under 3 joint chiefs each. Women are banned from fighting, yet oddly enough the joint chiefs are usually female. War bands are then further separated, the lowest sized unit being a Raid Party of 10. The Arrhak usually handles the invasion of planets, space stations, etc as well as the siege of cities and bordering of capital ships.
