- Howdy all. Would someone who is vegan please respond with a straight, concise, and non-argumentative answer to the following. Setup: It is not contested that *historically* our ancestors r4ped, murdered, and ate meat with apparent impunity (i.e., "might makes right" and "the law of the jungle"). *Today,* however, r4pe and murder _are_ *crimes* that are universally recognised as morally unjustified, whereas the consumption of meat has remained legal.
- My question is as follows and I have worded it in two ways to stand the best chance of being understood:
- Form #1: Does "Earthling Ed" advocate for a *future* where the consumption of animal products (e.g., "eating purchased meat") is a *crime* because it is universally recognised as morally unjustifiable (i.e., in effect to bring it in line with how r4pe and murder is illegal today)?
- Form #2: In an ideal world, would vegans _prefer_ to live in a world where the consumption of animal products (e.g., "eating purchased meat") is illegal?
- Or, are vegans going to _accept_ the consumption of animal products (e.g., "eating purchased meat") as remaining legal, though frowned upon, forevermore?
- If I am unclear with my question I'll try to elaborate, but I think I have been clear (I don't wish to nitpick and squabble over minutia and rare exceptions: e.g., self-defence for the taking of another's life). Thank you in advance to whomever responds thoughtfully and in the spirit of what has been asked.
