[05:12.59] * Starseeker | When we last left our players, the Maintenance Depot was being transformed slowly into a Field Triage Hospital for patients from both the base and surrounding locations in Neighayenne proper. After the refit of the Vertibuck against the advice of Commander Ironwing, Hala, Grunt, Swoop and Swept Wing all went to the Headquarters building to rest, shower, and take a minute to

[05:16.56] * Starseeker | A sentry guard notices something unusual as they watch the perimeter. "CONTACT on the outside wall! Sound the alarm!"
[05:17.38] * Starseeker | Klazons in the depot all start crying out and wailing bringing everypony there to attention.
[05:17.55] * Swoop leaps to attention. "Wait what?"
[05:18.45] * Starseeker | The "contact" looks like a roiling of the ground in a watery motion, almost as if the ground is ready to open up and deposit hordes of zebras at the gate to the depot.
[05:18.52] * Hala starts heading to her quarters with a towel around her neck, she passes Grunt and nods, before she snaps to alert and gallops for her room.
[05:19.45] * Exodus stares down the rediculous sight from one of the gate fortifications not a few moments ago he was inspecting, "What the in the everloving fuck..."
[05:20.30] * Grunt nods to her and heads for the outside wall
[05:20.54] <Swoop> "Welp. So much for the workout." She immediately turns around and heads back to the hangar to prep for emergency lift.
[05:26.08] * Kathreptis slowly digs herself out of the ground, her usually black, chitinous body covered in dirt and dust.
[05:26.42] * Starseeker | Sentry Guard: "Oh, FUCK, changelings too?!?"
[05:27.32] * Exodus is crouched behind one of the sandbag hodgepodge fortifications and blinks, he looks over at the sentry. "Relax, soldat. It's one. One. Changlin'. Let's see wah' he, she, it, wants."
[05:28.17] * Hala finally reaches her quarters and gears up, checking her gear quickly as she moves toward the fence.
[05:28.20] * Starseeker | Sentry Guard starts breathing calmer again. "Yes, sir."
[05:29.48] * Grunt arrives after a few moments, panting slightly and adresses Exodus "Whats going on?"
[05:29.57] * Swoop straps herself int the Vert and activates the radio. "Steel One to tower, ready for liftoff if you need us, over."
[05:30.26] * Starseeker | <Ironwing>  "That's a negative, Steel One."
[05:30.42] <Swoop> "Awww.. I never get to have any fun..."
[05:31.26] * Starseeker | Ironwing chuckles.  "Now I know I'm my job. Ironwing out."
[05:31.42] * Kathreptis shakes herself off, groaning a bit. "Ugh..."
[05:31.46] <&Starseeker> ((doing my job))
[05:31.53] * Swoop powers back down. "Yeah yeah... Dumb job."
[05:31.58] * Exodus looks down at Grunt from the sandbag bunker. "Contact, one changelin', might be more. But ah' dunno." he looks towards the changeling.
[05:33.25] * Hala reaches the fences at a full gallop, "Sergeant! What's the situation?" she shouts to Exodus.
[05:35.01] * Exodus looks up at Hala, "Contact, n' perhaps one overactive sentry. Might be more tah'. Just one changeling so far."
[05:36.09] * Starseeker | Sentry Guard: "It's all overy, man, it's all over! We're dead, as good as dead!"
[05:36.19] * Hala slows to a trot and pants lightly, "Just one changeling?" she furrows her brows, "Seems like quite the overreaction, can we turn off the alert?"
[05:37.07] * Kathreptis climbs the rest of the way out of her hole and staggers a bit towards the city.
[05:38.00] * Swoop trots out of the hangar to see what's going on.
[05:38.33] * Exodus looks back to Grunt and Hala. "So. Gameplan? My vote's for sayin' hello. Also, get that damned alarm off! Half tah' damn city can hear it."
[05:39.05] * Grunt nods, but keeps some bean bag rounds chambered just in case "Sounds good to me."
[05:39.50] * Hala nods, "If I may?" she looks to Exodus, as she heads for the checkpoint.
[05:39.52] * Starseeker | Another (far more competent) Sentry Guard nods and heads down to turn off the alarm.
[05:43.33] * Exodus nods to Hala. "Roger, check et' out." he looks to Grunt, "Get on her flank and watch her back."
[05:44.50] <+Exodus> "You know what the fuck I mean."
[05:45.04] * Swoop trots to the gate. "They won't let me bring the Vert out here. What's going on that's not important enough?"
[05:45.19] * Starseeker | <Ironwing> finally makes her way outside to see what's going on.  "Situation report, Sergeant."
[05:46.15] <Swoop> "Damned if I know, I just got here."
[05:46.16] * Grunt looks puzzled for a second, cocking his head before snapping back and nodding, trotting out to cover vectors of escape
[05:47.03] * Exodus looks down at Ironwing, "Solitary changeling, alarm happy sentry. The usual ma'am."
[05:47.26] * Hala chuckles at Grunt and heads through the checkpoint and looks at Kathreptis, "Changeling, state your intentions and affiliations." she keeps a fair distance between them, "There are many here who would happily end your existance."
[05:47.40] * Starseeker | <Ironwing>  "Changelings? Oh, that's just wonderful. Don't shoot it yet, we already have enough dead today.
[05:49.05] <Swoop> "Option's still open to get the Vert out for strategic reasons."

[05:53.16] * Exodus smirks at Swoop. "Oh for sure, tactical flankrape of one changelin'? Great."
[05:53.39] <Swoop> "Hey we got the spare ammo."

[05:54.02] * Starseeker | <Ironwing>  "I'm glad that your brother has more common sense than you do..."
[05:54.17] <Swoop> "You're worse than this one." She points at Ironwing.
[05:54.30] <Swoop> "Not a helluva lot more."
[05:55.47] * Hala waves a hoof to Exodus signalling a non-hostile, she looks Kathreptis over, "Please remove any weapons you may be carrying and submit to a search, this is a secure facility and there are protocols we must follow."
[05:56.29] * Exodus returns a signal of understanding to Hala before calling to Ironwing, "We're clear commodant."
[05:58.33] * Kathreptis nods and carefully removes her crossbow and SMG from her bags. "That's all I got."
[05:59.12] * Grunt releases the bit from his battle saddle, relaxing a bit
[06:01.41] * Starseeker | <Ironwing>  "Check her for injuries...and then put her in cuffs if she refuses to cooperate. I don't trust Changelings just as much as I don't like zebras."
[06:03.52] * Exodus calls to Grunt, "Bring the changeling in for processing, restrain if unneccesary." the griffon then looks back down at Swoop, "Yea, I lost all my fun back ah' Stalliongrad."
[06:03.59] * Hala looks at Grunt "Keep me covered, I'm willing to accept this changeling is not a threat." she looks back at Kathreptis as she steps over to begin the search, "But no sense dropping our guard just yet." she begins by removing Kathreptis's bags quickly completing her search and begins checking for injuries.
[06:04.46] * Grunt nods and keeps a close eye for any sudden movements
[06:08.20] * Hala notes a few bruises but nothing lifethreatening, "Very well," she leans down and collects the SMG and Crossbow before returning Kathreptis's bags, "Please follow me and don't make any sudden movements." she waves an all clear to Exodus and begins to head for the checkpoint.
[06:08.33] * Grunt follows
[06:10.04] * Starseeker | The gate opens and a line of soldiers and sentries flanks the way into the base, all of them glaring at the solo changeling. There is clear disgust in their eyes--apparently the hatred is equal to zebras for the shape-shifting pony-like creatures.
[06:11.06] * Swoop watches with slight interest. "Well, glad this interrupted my day. What's next, a parade for a princess?"
[06:11.15] * Kathreptis had a few bruises, and a bunch of ammo for her weapons on her, but was otherwise clean of anything suspicious.
[06:11.30] * Starseeker | <Ironwing>  "That's not even damn funny, Sergeant."
[06:12.02] * Swoop shrugs. "I'm not paid to be funny."
[06:12.44] * Starseeker | <Ironwing>  "Oh...well, requisitioning and payroll might be an issue. And before you turn in tonight, you get to do 100 laps."
[06:12.44] * Exodus looks down from the parapet of a barricade he stood on and yells at all the soldiers lined up. "Wipe, those goddess damned glares and dishust offah' your faces! The fuck do you think ya'll are." he roars, looking very pissed.
[06:13.21] <Swoop> "Now you're not even funny. On either attempt."
[06:13.39] * Starseeker | Sentries (All at once) "YES, SIR!" The glares mostly fade, but there is still some underlying dislike in their eyes, at least in the back.
[06:13.47] * Hala looks at one of the particularly rude soldiers glaring, "Take your malice elsewhere, if you have a problem with her..." she looks at Kathreptis, "Maybe you have a problem with my stripes too?"
[06:13.52] * Grunt glances up and makes a mental note not to piss off Exodus, or be ready to run really, /really/ fast if he does
[06:14.04] * Starseeker | <Ironwing> points a talon at Swoop
[06:14.37] * Starseeker | <Ironwing> points a talon at Swoop's ear and says " I'm not paid to be funny, but you are paid to follow orders, is that clear?"
[06:15.34] * Swoop sighs. "Yes, sir. Crystal. Translucent at least."
[06:16.19] * Starseeker | <Ironwing>  "Let's work on transparent after tonight."
[06:16.33] <Swoop> "First thing in the morning."
[06:16.52] * Starseeker | One Smart-Ass Sentry Guard. " Will all due respect, ma'am, yes I do. Now I do."

[06:17.38] * Kathreptis gulps at the sight of so many soldiers.
[06:19.11] * Starseeker | 1S-ASS " Is there a problem with that, zebra?"
[06:21.40] * Hala chuckles and steps up to the guard, with a flicker of motion her sword is resting against said soldiers neck blade facing away from his flesh, she mutters around the bite guard of her sword, "I swore to serve and prtect Equestria the same as you." she glares at him, "Were we not on the same side, you'd be dead right now, because I would have no reason to hold back."
[06:22.00] * Exodus vaults over the wall and walks up to Kathreptis, glaring at that 1S ASS, before looking at the rest. "Ain't nothin' to see here, parties over, les' get back to work. An' we got works to do." he kneels down next to the dropped smartass. "You just got knocked the fuck out, soldat."
[06:22.29] * Starseeker | <Ironwing>  "Miss Hala!"
[06:22.46] <Swoop> "Ok. NOW it was worth coming out here."
[06:23.13] * Starseeker | <Ironwing>  "All right, enough of this manure. Everybody inside, now."
[06:23.22] * Exodus looks over at Ironwing. "With all due respect ma'am, that was light." he passes by and gets back to work with the fortifications, working side by side with the rest of his soldiers.
[06:23.35] * Kathreptis takes a nervous step away from Exodus, probably smart on the small changeling's part.
[06:23.52] * Grunt nods and continues on to the base
[06:24.17] * Starseeker | <Ironwing> to the guards.  "Not you clowns. You get to make sure nothing else happens. Next thing so much as twitches, shoot to wound not kill."
[06:24.59] * Hala looks at Irnowing and smoothly re-sheathes her sword, "Yes ma'am, and for reference it's Specialist." she nods to Kathreptis and Grunt, "You heard her, lets get inside."
[06:25.13] * Swoop turns and trots back to the hangar. "You don't let no one have fun."
[06:25.25] <&Starseeker> <Exodus stays outside with the guards and sentries to make sure that there are no other surprises for the rest of the watch>
[06:25.29] * Kathreptis nods and steps after Hala.
[06:26.30] * Starseeker | <Ironwing> merely looks at Swoop, shaking her head.  "Thank you, 'Specialist
[06:27.10] * Starseeker | <Ironwing> merely looks at Swoop, shaking her head.  "Thank you, 'Specialist' Hala. Once we get her inside, you will be so kind as to tell me why you knocked one of my soldiers down."
[06:28.46] * Hala nods a flicker of a smile crosses her face and she trots towards the hangar after Ironwing, "Of course ma'am, though we could walk and talk."
[06:33.14] * Starseeker | The group all comes back into the main part of the Hangar, the Vertibuck sitting idle and making some very odd noises as if something hadn't been done right.
[06:34.46] * Grunt twitches his ear at the sound of the noises "Is the Vertibuck supposed to do that Swoop?"
[06:35.09] <Swoop> "Ugh... I knew I shouldn't have let Swept do those connections by himself... I'll look at it later. Right now I'm hungry."
[06:36.15] * Starseeker | Just to confirm that something had been done horribly wrong, one of the engines makes a loud metallic wrenching sound and falls off of the Vertibuck, landing with a sickening *THUD*.
[06:36.47] <Swoop> "...ffffffFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-"
[06:37.02] * Hala cringes at the sound and looks at Swoop, "Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to do that."
[06:37.20] * Grunt blinks "I'm not very good with all that tech stuff, but that doesn't look right.

[06:37.24] * Swoop grabs a hammer and starts smashing whats left of the shipping crate the engine came in, cursing everyone and especially Swept.
[06:37.40] * Kathreptis blinks. "Uh..."
[06:38.02] * Grunt nudges Hala "I say we get out of here. Immediately."
[06:38.13] * Swoop throws the hammer at the locker she'd broke earlier and glares at the engine, breathing heavily.
[06:38.15] * Starseeker | Ironwing watches in amazement as Swoop actually does something well.  "Fantastic job, Sergeant! Now all we need is some marshmallows and we can have s'mores."
[06:38.39] * Swoop glares at Ironwing, eyes promising a slow painful death.
[06:39.10] * Starseeker | <Ironwing>  "I can always add more laps, you know..."
[06:39.43] * Swoop returns murderglares to the Vert. "As Celestia is my witness, this fucking engine will work before morning."
[06:40.21] * Hala nods to Kathreptis and Grunt before looking to Ironwing, "We still have a duty to perform, miss..." she looks at Kathreptis, "I would appreciate it if for the time being you would remain in your natural form," she turns to Ironwing, "And I believe I owe you an explanation. Somewhere less..." she chuckles at Swoop, "Exciting?"

[07:03.57] * Kathreptis glances up at Grunt. "I have a grudge with some ponies... But I think I got a bit lost..."

[07:20.04] * Starseeker | <Razorheart> is sitting in the Comm Center of the HQ buildings, and receives a call from the Schools.
[07:21.06] * Hala looks at Grunt and grins, "You seem to have things well in hoof," she turns to head towards the gym, "Feel free to collect me after."

[07:22.43] * Starseeker | The communication the other end is stable and calm. It is the superintendent of the school distract reporting in.  "It's pretty bad, Mister Mayor. We have at least 100 dead in the High School...multiple injuries all across the campus. I haven't gotten to the High School building yet, but the initial reports that I have indicated that the quake pancaked the 4th and 5th floors."
[07:23.43] * Starseeker | <Razorheart>  "Crap. I've got ponies ready to get to your position. What's your status?"
[07:23.45] * Grunt nods "Alright," he heads towards the shower with Kathreptis "The showers are in there, I'll see if I can find something that you can wear."
[07:25.23] * Starseeker | <Superintendent>  "We're all okay for now. The high school appears stable and those that can evac are, but we're going to wait for your orders as to where we should go with the Hospital being closed for now."
[07:26.53] <+Kathreptis> "Thanks, uh... What's your name?"
[07:28.44] * Grunt gestures to himself "I'm Grunt," he points to Kathreptis "and yours?"
[07:31.05] * Starseeker | The Vertibuck cries softly, sparking electricty from the damaged connections.

[07:32.39] * Starseeker | <Maintenance Tech>  "I warned you....and she warned you too, but you pilots..."
[07:34.19] * Grunt nods, turning on a shower and giving some privacy - for whatever reason - "Take however long you need."
[07:34.57] * Starseeker | <Razorheart>  "Just standby, we'll be heading out there as soon as we can be."
[07:37.41] * Kathreptis nods. "Alright, and thanks."
[07:37.47] * Starseeker | The Vertibuck's structural integrity is still mostly there. The tear was relatively clean, save for a couple of frayed wires that were continuing to spark every so often if to do nothing else but test Swoop
[07:38.20] * Starseeker | 's patience with the disobedient helicopter that had helped to save her and her brother's bacon the oher ady,
[07:38.22] * Swoop narrows her eyes.
[07:39.46] * Grunt smiles "No problem" he says, grabbing a towel for when she finishes
[07:40.54] <Swoop> "I need to find Swept. He was in charge of securing the fucker..." She storms out with the now-empty plate, in search of her brother.
[07:44.42] * Starseeker | <Maintenane Tech> watches Swoop depart, turning to the side and tapping something on her side. The unicorn's disguise falls, revealing her to be a pony-zebra hybrid. Tapping her device again, she says " This is the branch. I am successfully inside the facility, and will continue to maintain my assignment. Cutting communication from here on out. Let the Great Stripe aid us."
[07:54.10] * Hala reaches the gym and steps onto a treadmill, she sets it for a brisk pace and begins to canter, it's still a bit on the slow side so she steps it up, letting her mind wander as she works up to a gallop.
[07:54.52] * Starseeker <Maintenance Tech> climbs into the Vertibuck and begins to mess about inside the cockpit.
[07:59.19] * Kathreptis steps out of the shower, her hide shiny with water.
[07:59.49] * Grunt tosses a bundled up towel as if it was C4 towards Kathreptis
[08:00.48] * Grunt queries "Shower alright?"
[08:03.29] * Kathreptis grabs the towel out of the air, nodding. "Yeah."
[08:04.02] * Exodus walks into wherever the showers are, covered from talon to claw in dirt, grime, and sand, uniform totally soiled.
[08:07.45] * Grunt looks over as Exodus walks in "Everything alright out there?"
[08:09.08] * Hala continues to run on the treadmill, her gallop continues at a regular pace, she stumbles as she goes to step off and manages to catch herself before she falls over entirely.
[08:11.50] * Swoop can be heard screaming Swept's name and demanding he show himself.
[08:12.28] <+Exodus> "Yea, just fortifying everythin' at the perimeter, then I yelled a whole lot at a few toolbags n' the like. But other n' that. Swimmingly." the griffon moe or less walking and stripping at the same time headed for a shower, he looks at Kathreptis in passing. "Evenin'. Pleased to see you weren't harmed real bad."
[08:13.22] * Grunt asks Exodus "Where can we get her something to wear while on base?"
[08:15.41] <+Kathreptis> "Thanks sir."
[08:16.26] * Exodus clicks on the water and more or less scrapes out a forty five second shower, walking back out and looking at Grunt. "Uh, I'd say supply sergeant at tah' BX." the muscular griffon goes for a towel in the meanwhile, looking back up at Kathreptis. "Right, I'm Exodus, Sarge iffin' you like ranks. Pleased tah' meetcha." he offers a claw to the changeling.
[08:17.02] * Swoop gallops past the showers. "SWEEEEEEPT!!!"
[08:17.38] * Exodus blinks at Swoop and then to Grunt and Kathreptis, as in askance as to what was going on. "So...?"
[08:18.49] * Hala turns and exits the gym after turning off the treadmill, she heads to the showers to meet up with Grunt and Kathreptis, she arrives and spots Exodus as well, "Looks like the showers are getting quite popular today," she strips as well, quickly showering and dressing once more.
[08:18.50] * Grunt chuckles "An engine fell of the Vertibird, Swoop ain't happy."

[08:19.17] * Kathreptis shakes his claw with a hoof.
[08:20.42] * Exodus blinks at Grunt. "Fell off? Bullshit, Swept wouldn't fuck up like tah'." he wolf whistles jokingly at Hala before nodding. "Yea, well, I had a good reason tah' be here. Sandbags for days." he looks back at Kathreptis, "So, yah' have a name 'ling?"

[08:22.36] * Hala grins at Exodus, "Hmm, at least someone appreciates the time I spend in the gym," she jokingly looks at Grunt.
