  12. If there's one thing that never ceased to amaze her, it was that no matter the day or weather, it always rained hard in Po town.
  13. Moon's journey down the beaten path to Team Skull's "headquarters" was only halted by a quick hello to Officer Nanu at his post(,). S(s)he noted that Nanu was a little less depressed than he usually was. After the Ather Incident, Team Skull's leader began to stop operations that involved stealing pokemon, considering their only source of real income was in a near-comatose state, and on her way to Kanto with her daughter to try and find a cure for her otherworldly dilemma. The only thing Team Skull were (really) still "well known" for was that they were all rejects, all f(F)ailures of the Island Challenge, and people pitied them more then flat out hating them now.
  14.
  15. (This is a new thought, make it part of the next para)
  16. Moon opened the steel doors to the isolated town, giving a quick glance to the new bits and pieces of graffiti before pressing on.
  17. The few grunts that made their way towards her (Moon) backed off almost instantly when other members pointed out how powerful her pokemon were. One or two called out to her, offering rhymes in hopes she might not have a bone to pick with them. "Y-Yo yo yo! It's (this is "it is" so you need the apostrophe) the girl from Kanto!", "Don't get too bony, or she'll kick your ass from here to Poni!"
  18.
  19. Moon couldn't help but smile (more than she normally would - why?) at the grunts lyrics, despite the language. She pushed onward with ease to the largest house, knowing well who she would find lurking inside.
  20. The entrance was completely empty. The one or two Skull members who normally lurked inside must have taken off when they saw Moon.
  21. Save for the fresh drawings on the walls and floors, the house looked like it had been abandoned long ago, cobwebs and dust collected (need past tense here) on almost every surface, and the furniture piled up in the hallway to the kitchen was (is) festering with mold. "The hell you doin' here?" came a deep, yet familiar voice from the second floor of the house. It was Guzma, his gold medallion swaying slowly as he came down the stairs step by step. He stopped for a moment, struck his usual pose, and began uttering his usual line. "The boss who beats you down and beats you down and..."
  22.
  23. He stopped midway, letting out a quiet but harsh sigh under his breath. Guzma already looked defeated. Depressed even, he looked like Nanu more than Nanu did at this point. "...Ah, to hell with it, let's (same here, need an apostrophe) just get this over with."
  24.
  25. The battle didn't take too long. Guzma's Golisopod struggled to fight Moon's Raichu, and the others were easily picked off with
  26. Decidueye's Spirit Shackle, considering how underleveled they were. Guzma called each of his Pokemon back with a distinguishable,
  27. frustrated sigh.
  28.
  29. When the fight was over, Guzma handed Moon a ridiculously small amount of cash and retreated slowly to the stairs, s(l)inking down on the bottom step and holding his head in his hands. Moon watched him, her smile had already faded into a rather curious worry for the man, and approached him slowly. "Guzma?" she uttered nervously.
  30.
  31. He looked up to Moon in tears, depressingly laughing at himself. It was fitting to him, how he was looking up to this little girl, this kid, who had managed to embarrass (spellcheck) him, time and time and time and time again. She was half his size, he could easily crush her in his hands like a pest, and deep down he wanted to. He knew well how he wanted to extinguish the life from her, slowly and painfully...
  32.
  33. He shook himself back together. He didn't even bother asking himself what the fuck he was thinking, and focused back on Moon, who had been staring deep into him with worry for moments. "W-What do you want, huh?" He sniffled. "Come to laugh at a grown man who keeps losing to a child, huh? Is that it?".
  34.
  35. Moon was surprised by this, "W-what? No I-"
  36.
  37. "Oh, so you've come to take the last few shreds of self-respect I have left?" He stood upwards by this point, towering (dreadfully- this is not quite the right word) over Moon. "You've taken so much from me, all of you have. All I ever wanted was to become a captain, make something of myself." He was psyching himself up, growing angrier and angrier with each passing moment. "You've even taken my gang away from me. Most of em' may still respect me, but when YOU show up..."
  38.
  39. Moon was beginning to lose her cool (again, not quite the right phrasing, she's scared, not losing her temper), and the idea that she should probably leave sprang to her mind, but h(H)e followed her, pushing forward so that she couldn't escape through the doors.
  40.
  41. He had her backed up against the wall at this point, how easy it would be to crush the air from her lungs, to get rid of this pain in his ass once and for all. "G-Guzma, p-please..." she cried out.
  42.
  43. Guzma could easily taste her fear.(,) H(h)e was enjoying this so much that he didn't notice how close he had actually gotten to her. He was practically crushing her with his own body, the dark corners of his mind screaming for him to keep going, but... He stopped. He couldn't bring himself to move.
  44.
  45. Minutes passed (on by - delete), and Guzma's breathing gradually became slow once more. The feeling of Moon's body rubbing against his stomach reminded him of what it felt like to hold someone he cared about in his arms. He looked down at her (Moon's) face to see she was calming down as well, though he could still feel her heart pounding in her chest. Maybe she was enjoying this too, Guzma thought. His breathing became heavier, and he began focusing on the fabric of Moon's flowery shirt rubbing against his worn and slightly dirty wife beater. Moon herself could feel an unknown heat flow through her, trailing down her back. "...I..." Guzma began. "...I haven't been this close to someone in a long...Long time..."
  46.
  47. He could feel something sparking in him. He had sex before, sure, tons of it back in his prime, mostly with the female Grunts who were looking to rise up Team Skull's ranks. But this? He had that raunchy (again, not sure this is the right word) feeling, but something new was hitting him hard with it. It felt... Honest. Real. "G-Guzma? You okay now?" Asked Moon.
  48.
  49. She wanted to ask him to move, but considering the situation, it probably wasn't in her best interests to ask yet(reword this sentence to have it be about power imbalance rather than vague like this). Instead, she continued. "Look Guzma, I'm sorry you didn't do well on the challenge, I'm sorry you can't be a captain, and I'm sorry I-I embarrassed you- I wasn't trying to do it intentionally, I-I..."
  50.
  51. "Save it, kid. I know you don't care about us, don't lie to yourself."
  52.
  53. Guzma's voice returned to a degraded, depressed state. Depression (diff word, you just said depression) came flooding back to him, except now he felt his heart almost smashing into pieces. He looked like he was about to cry again, and Moon couldn't take seeing him like this once more.
  54.
  55. "B-But I do! I like you, Guzma! I like all of Team Skull! You guys are always so fearless and cool, even when you get beaten!"
  56.
  57. "I like you."
  58.
  59. It smashed right into his very being, a Yin to his Yang. Ever since Guzma was a child, growing up with his abusive
  60. parents, he learned to be wary of what people might pretend to say to get on your good side. Time and time again, he did things for his family, ranging from simple chores to shady work, all in the hopes of getting a shred of love from either of his parents, even a simple fucking "Good job, Guzma", only to instead get physical abuse, spilled blood, and the usual "You're a fucking mistake, Guzma."
  61.
  62. Ever since, he was always in a state of paranoia, forever on his toes. Maybe just maybe, a grunt was thinking of stepping up to challenge his rule over Team Skull, or perhaps Kukui would finally step up to him, sick of his shit and thinking of ending him and Team Skull once and for all. Before the Aether Incident, he even considered that maybe the edgy little tyke Gladion was right, and Lusamine really was just fucking with him... His paranoia only got worse after that.
  63.
  64. But Moon? There was something about her. Her smile for instance. She never frowned unless she was in some serious shit. She was always so cheery, even now after three years had passed since she'd done that stupid challenge, and became the Alolan champion. It was easy to tell she came from a good family, with parents who actually cared about her. she hadn't been exposed to all the shit his parents put him through, never had to make due on mere scraps of food just to survive for a week. All of it pointed to a sort of truth, an innocence Guzma hadn't seen in anyone else before, even from his most loyal grunts. Even from Plume, who was living her own life at this point, only dropping by Po Town to say hi or check in on him. "...S-say it again. Please." Guzma asked, almost begged.
  65.
  66. At this stage, he was desperate to get any compliment from her, he felt his life might end then and there if he didn't get anything. He needed to be sure, sure she was being honest with him. Finally, Moon replied, "I like you Guzma. I know we have some bad blood, but I-"
  67.
  68. Guzma almost launched his head into hers, she was sure he was trying to headbutt her, but when he reached her lips-
  69.
  70. She could feel his tongue enter her mouth, and sure enough, that fire she felt before was back in full force. She didn't know what
  71. Guzma was trying to convey here. Did...Did he have feelings for her? She didn't even really know what to do in the heat of the moment, so she tried to mimic Guzma's tongue movements, hoping that this would calm him down. She could taste the cheap alcohol staining his breath, along with a plethora of other, often bizarre tastes. this felt... Odd. It didn't feel bad, it felt great if she was being honest with herself, but there was something that felt missing. She wanted more, more of this experience, but also more of this Guzma. She could see it deep in his eyes, he was passionate about this, but more importantly, he was happy, much happier than he had been but ten minutes ago, when she arrived. She felt good for making him happy. But she wanted to make him feel even better.
  72.
  73. Silently, they broke off from their kiss, breathing in the dusty air of the house. Guzma moved back to give Moon a better chance to
  74. breathe properly, and shared an awkward moment of silence. "Guzma..." Moon started, "I didn't know you had these sort of feelings for me. I...I'm new to this stuff, but I'm okay with this, if you are. I want to make you feel better."
  75.
  76. Guzma had to control himself by this point, not just to calm himself sexually, but emotionally. He felt like his heart was about to burst out of his chest, and he didn't dare speak at this point, for fear of turning into a stuttering mess. He knew this "stuff" required solitude, peace and quiet. Guzma nodded slowly at her, moving his hands slowly down her arms until he was holding her hands in his. "Come with me." Was all he managed to get out (of himself - cut). She nodded, and followed him upstairs.
