#PersonaGAF chatroom rules and guidelines:

1) Anything goes as far as discussion, as long as it doesn't violate other rules and isn't upsetting people.

2) Keep it cool. Be nice to people. Be respectful. Don't be a jerk, and don't piss off the people with operator/half operator status. Positive thinking, yo!

This means no mean spirited comments or jokes to other members, regardless if they enter the chatroom or not. If you don't have anything nice to say, then please keep it to yourself.

4) Spoilers for P3/P4/Arena/Ultimax are acceptable to a degree in the main chatroom. For ALL other games not listed, please try take spoilers to #pspoilers. Use the command "/join #pspoilers" to enter the channel. This rule includes P1, both halves of P2, Persona Q, and especially Persona 5.

For Persona Q, best to adhere to Atlus's own request on the subject. Main story events from the 4th dungeon onward should be in the spoiler channel.

For Persona 5, anything from an official source (such as Atlus's official website or trailers) as well as anything from a news article (such as Famitsu, Dengenki, IGN, Gamespot) not marked as spoilers is acceptable in the main channel. Speculation is okay as long as it is noted as such. ABSOLUTELY NO ENDING SPOILERS NOR ANY GAMEPLAY SPOILERS NOT FROM THESE SOURCES IN THE MAIN CHANNEL. Take it to #pspoilers.

5) Don't spam bot commands, be they ChanServ or commands belonging to someone else's bot. For bot/script owners: Please note that if someone spams your commands, you may potentially be removed as well.

6) We recommend you use a proper IRC client. On Windows, HexChat or Quassel IRC are popular choices. On Android, AndChat and AndroIRC are free and pretty nice. For other suggestions, ask in the room.

7) Users who register with the GlobalGamers server ("/ns register") may request voice for when they are in the channel. Voice makes it easy to identify yourself, as well as marks you as a regular within the chatroom. In the extremely unlikely event that the channel is muted because of a spammer, you will also be able to speak.

8) Any questions, suggestions, comments, or such should be directed to one of the operators or half operators in the chatroom.
