You can hear the noisy bustle around the land gates to the west.  Over the din, you can just barely hear the sound of the surf from the northeast.  You also see the Maylan disk, the Dergoatean disk, a grizzled dusky curhound, a morose badland spirit that is flying around, a tense will-o-wisp spirit that is flying around, a forest wolf, a disheveled bat-eared fox, a ruffled striped owl that is flying around, a morose glacier spirit that is flying around, a fiendish dark purple panther, a worn redwood gangplank, a gleaming fireleaf airship and a sun-bleached pine gate.

A mote of pale white light floats in from the bay nearby.

The pale light splits, forming two small specks, then another, then another.  Each fleck of light then begins to grow before slowly merging, turning and shifting to resemble a sliver of white energy.

Stepping out of the white energy, a half-elf appears.  His pink eyes regard you.

You see Ayred.
He appears to be a Half-Elf.
He is average height and appears to be very young.  He has pale pink eyes and milky white skin.  He has long, bone white hair tied back in a ponytail.  He has a straight nose and scars along his neck and hands.  He has scars along his bare feet and his mouth is disfigured, his lips seemingly melded together and tiny bits of wires woven into his cheeks.
He is in good shape.
He is wearing an old silver-hued pouch, and a long flowing ivory robe.

Bekke whispers to the group, "Who is this?"

Alasatia whispers to the group, "No idea."

You whisper, "I have never seen him before...and THAT is a face I would remember." to your group.

Ayred gestures with his fingers, and the portal's energy crackles, and soon another half-elf steps out.  Alendrial smiles, her coral blue eyes still colorful in the dark of night.

You see Lady Alendrial DeArchon.
She appears to be a Half-Elf.
She is very tall and slender and appears to be youthful.  She has beguiling coral blue eyes and flawless ivory skin.  She has loosely curled, chin-length champagne brown hair.  She has dainty ears that taper to a slight point.
She is in good shape.
She is wearing a silk-lined black leather longcloak, a fireleaf-inlaid elven thigh sheath, a pintucked pewter linen blouse tucked into black leather vambraces, a cutwork leather corset with niello clasp, an embossed leather belt looped twice around its mithril buckle, a hip-slung ashen leather kit, some soft doeskin breeches, and a pair of cross-tied black oilcloth boots with ridged leather soles.

Alendrial says, "Excuse my approach. Very few places, are safe these days."

Speaking to you, Alasatia murmurs, "She is looking so well."

You nod in agreement at Alasatia.

Alendrial says, "I know some of you are not happy with me. But thank you for coming regardless."

Alendrial says, "This is not a meeting about the Brotherhood of Rooks."

Alendrial says, "In fact, I do not trust Rysus, unless I am certain of the profit he hopes to gain."

Alendrial says, "Which is why we are speaking."

Alendrial says, "I will get to the point."

Alendrial asks, "Mayor, you said this town is open to those being hunted by Chaston? Half-elves, and others?"

Alendrial asks, "Do you mean it?"

Puptilian says, "Aye as long as they follow the laws of the town we will give them protection."

Puptilian says, "Now for some that are wanted by this town my offer to be pardon is still available too."

Alendrial asks, "Does that ring true, for those seeking temporary protection, while passing from one place to another?"

Puptilian says, "With those two in thought I do mean it."

Puptilian says, "I assume any that seek refuge here would only be passing.  As long as they abide by the two statements I made they can come."

Alendrial asks, "Will you also provide resources to help protect their movements, and presence here?"

Alendrial says, "The Scions have been made aware of the movements of many half-elves, even some half-krolvin among coastal areas, within the Empire."

Speaking to Alendrial, Puptilian says, "If they are here to get away from Chaston and his false cleansing we will help as we can.  If they are wanted from the Empire and only going to be here to abuse our genoristiy that is different."

Alendrial says, "We expect this number to grow, as the madman Chaston continues his work."

Puptilian says, "As for resources, we are limited in what we have to give."

Speaking to Alendrial, Puptilian asks, "What type of resources are you needing?"

Bekke says, "I think we can spare a bit of food and a room for a night or two for those running from that man's cleansing."

Alendrial says, "Very well. Please work to compile what resources and avenues you have. We would like to utilize you, and others of the town, to help provide a resting spot, for refugees from the Empire, to come here, and we can move them further out."

Speaking to Puptilian, Oeath says, "We have long been a bastion for those unwanted by the empire."

Speaking to Alendrial, Puptilian says, "Resources in what way?  You know the wars we been in the last several years.  We can only do so much."

Speaking to Alendrial, Bekke says, "It isn't my decision to make, however."

Alendrial says, "I am not aware of the limits of your resources. I will ask you help decide such in the coming days."

Alendrial says, "We will need shelter, trusted contacts, food, supplies."

Alendrial says, "Help to coordinate arrivals, and departures."

Alendrial says, "This operation cannot be like herding sheep, dare I even use that comparison."

Speaking to Alendrial, Maylan says, "I will assist you in any way that I can."

Alendrial says, "We will need to be smart, discreet, but still with some urgency."

Lylia wonders whether Thadston would aid in any of this or instead try to shut it down? She quickly comes to the conclusion that he would do what was best, not what was merely 'right.'

Alendrial says, "I am seeking freedom for half-elves persecuted, like I was once, and still am."

Alendrial says, "I am here not here to bleed Chaston as we flee."

Speaking to Alendrial, Puptilian says, "I would also mention to you as another avenue Solhaven.  Baron Malwind also stated that he will take in any half elves."

Alendrial says, "No."

Speaking to Alendrial, Puptilian says, "We can only do so much as a small town."

Alendrial says, "We are moving out of the Empire, many will likely go east."

Puptilian says, "I'm giving many options...not just one."

Maylan says, "Yes but to protect those he hunts works against his desires. Count me in."

You say, "Solhaven, as we saw tonight, is already imperiled."

Speaking to Puptilian, Dergoatean says, "If they resist the empire as a whole, more than just Chaston, that won't do at all."

Sareyna says, "I too will do whatsoever i can."

Alendrial says, "I do not mean to put you on the spot tonight."

Alendrial says, "So I do not need an answer. Especially with so many involved, and so many facets."

Hapenlok mutters, "Going east....a lot of them came this way to get away from there. it's dire if they're going to go back to the Elven Nations."

Alendrial says, "There are more than you think."

You remind, "And Chaston wishes there to be fewer still."

Speaking to Alendrial, Puptilian asks, "If we help as I said those that come have to understand these rules.  They follow the laws of this city while here.  They are not wanted in this town and if so have to work for a pardon.  Those wanted for anything beyond Chaston's cleasning I will not simply over look. I will help against this false prelate but my genoristy will not be abused.  Deal?"

Alendrial says, "Many do not even appear as such, but they are."

Alendrial says, "The Crusaders have had an almost unnatural way of detecting us."

Alendrial says, "I am aware, laws, laws. I understand."

Alendrial says, "We will be sojourners, nothing more."

Speaking to Alendrial, Bekke asks, "Do we know why that man has such a hatred?"

Rtune asks, "They can detect half elfs?"

Alendrial says, "It seems, I do not know for certain."

Alendrial nods at Rtune.

Speaking to Alendrial, Amerek asks, "No whispers or rumors about the source of his powers?"

Alendrial says, "A question for another time, once our work is done."

You say, "Unnatural is a word I think of often in the context of the Blameless."

Alendrial says, "His campaigns are very focused, swift...it is maddening."

Alendrial says, "I called many present here, because I understand this is a risk, for many."

Alendrial says, "I also understand, if you cannot condone such."

Alendrial nods at Puptilian.

Alendrial says, "But in the least, will turn and ignore such."

Alendrial says, "So we may find freedom beyond the Empire."

Speaking to Alendrial, Puptilian asks, "When do you think the first refuges showing up?"

Alendrial says, "I do not expect them to come until after your town's festival."

Alendrial says, "Although perhaps some may wish to trickle in during that cover."

Speaking to Alendrial, Puptilian says, "If any will want to stay and help protect this town and this....stop....we would take any help."

Alendrial says, "We will need shelter, trusted contacts, food and supplies. Likely more will develop from that."

Alendrial says, "I will not ask any to fight. Many wish to flee."

Alendrial says, "Spend the next few days, deciding what you are able to do, and how."

Alendrial says, "I trust Bekke, Lylia, and Alasatia. If you do not, then in this you should."

You sincerely say, "Thank you."

Alendrial says, "We will gladly work with trusted contacts of yours."

Aurach softly says, "What can you tell us of chastons immediate inner circle?  Or any information you have..."

Speaking to Alendrial, Puptilian asks, "I will have to speak with council.  I am not against this myself and will want to help but to do what is needed I will need council approval.  When i get final word, how would you like me to send you a message?"

Alendrial says, "I wish to utilize those of you here, and not the Brotherhood of Rooks."

Alendrial says, "I will not have my people recruited."

Alendrial asks, "Council approval?"

Alendrial frowns.

Speaking to Alendrial, Puptilian says, "Council is not what you remember."

Alendrial says, "That's what worries me."

Alendrial says, "I had hoped for more secrecy."

Speaking to Alendrial, Puptilian says, "This group supported my message but to put town funds to helping we need their approval."

Speaking to Alendrial, Dergoatean asks, "Do you speak with authority for the scions?  Or are you instead just an ally of theirs?"

Alendrial says, "Then a note on a council meeting's agenda."

Alendrial says, "Perhaps find a way to secretly allocate funds, or collect them in other ways."

Speaking to Alendrial, Puptilian says, "Oh I wont use names if that is to worry.  But if we are going to bring trobule like this to town I need to make sure we are prepared."

Alendrial says, "Please reconsider taking this to the council. Our escape is not a ballot measure."

Speaking to Puptilian, Hapenlok says, "All i'll wind up buying is more junk from Frontier Days, anyway....so tell me what you need, and i'll give you what i got."

Alendrial says, "I cannot trust the eyes and ears in your Moot Hall, or the clerks."

Alasatia asks, "Are you not already aiding those escaping Chaston?"

Speaking to Alendrial, Puptilian says, "Let me think on it.  I will send you a message through bekke in a few days of my final thoughts."

Alendrial says, "I am sorry. Names are not important, spoken, or unsaid."

Alasatia says, "I did not think it up for debate."

Alendrial says, "If there is even the idea of this movement happening..."

You say, "When people flee for their lives, it is not just to ask them to stop and obey 'do not walk on the grass' signs."

Alendrial says, "Think on it."

Speaking to Alendrial, Puptilian says, "I have some ideas if you dont want it to go to council."

Speaking to Alendrial, Puptilian says, "I just can't give them to your group without asking them."

Alendrial says, "Send word, when you can."

Puptilian says, "But they are people I trust."

Puptilian says, "If not official from the town, the people themselves without the town support."

Alendrial says, "Before I go."

Alendrial offers Alasatia an engraved platinum wedding band.

Alendrial says, "Give this to Sir Thadston please. Inform him, and likely the Magister, that the magic wards they placed on it, had been discovered."

Alendrial says, "He won't be keeping track of me very well anymore."

Alendrial says, "And if he tries again..."

Alendrial says, "I'll have the Scions confirm the rumors, just to see him hang."

You smoothly say, "I would like to think that is yesterday's concern, and he is a man who focuses more on tomorrow."

Ayred gestures, and white energy burns into existance before him.  Alendrial nods and steps into the portal, and he follows after her.  The light vanishes and they are gone.
