Letter to David Mackintosh about Syria bombing

Dear David Mackintosh,

I don't believe the UK government has a feasible follow-up plan for dealing with the chaos which will be caused be a bombing campaign.

Further to that, this feels a lot like a knee-jerk reaction to the Paris attacks, rather than a sober consideration, and I don't believe it's in anyone's best interests apart from Daesh.

The main thing which strengthens Daesh is their ability to easily find recruits among people who resent western powers, and every new attack creates more of these people.

In the past your responses have been disappointingly direct Conservative party-line. I am hoping this time I might be surprised and you might show me that you do in fact hold an independent opinion.
