  1. Giving and receiving inspiration are two of the many things that I, as an individual, live for. Whether drawing or typing, my hands flow to the beat of the music that pulses within my ears, pushing me forward, giving me the motivation to create, express, and inspire. The world that I witness, hear, and feel around myself is the fuel that brings my imagination to life. The world is what creates the many ideas swirling around in my head, and I take the time to process them and think. My eyes and mind work together in unison, paying attention to the minute details of everyday life that others may not see, the way someone’s lips curve as they smile or how their voice changes when they are sad or happy. I take note of the way fields of grain move in a breeze like golden oceans, reflecting the sunlight. I notice how a gust of wind seems to make a forest come to life with the soft, gentle whispers of nature. I translate these emotions, feelings, and the things I see and hear daily into the creations that will possibly influence, or inspire someone else's world. Artists reflect these things into their daily lives, and connect in a way that some may not recognize. I take inspiration from the music and people that I love and turn it into a visual adaptation of the many different forms of art in a sort of collaboration between myself and my world as I see it. I have intertwined myself in the world of art in my community and have made very valuable friends whom I keep close to my heart because of the unique connections we share. Our art brings creative minds together, no matter the variety or skill level and inspires others to strive to become better at the things they love to do, or sparks the fire that an imagination needs to begin to blossom and spread. Art is like a beautiful infection that takes over the mind and heart once you have come into contact with it. I want to be able to make this growth spread like wildfire and inspire others with the things I accomplish during my time in high school. I do not want a single person to be under the false accusation that they cannot accomplish something simply because they didn’t believe in themselves to begin with. My mind is my sanctuary; I have turned it into the very art that I create and share with the world to let everyone see the many pieces of my complex, unique personality throughout my community and school. Art is not just something to look at, read, or listen to- it is a reflection into someone’s soul, a look into the very mind that created it, and the expression of ideas, thoughts, and details that we may pass by in our busy, daily lives.
