  1. Dear K'xonei and K'miriel!
  2.
  3. Hallo, I am Nakori, I hope you remember me. I am the won who bothered you with questions about weasels one time, when I was visiting Shard and we had talked about my promotion. It was a while ago! I am a Prydaen with white fur and I am cute and I have big spectacles, if that helps your memories to exercise. I will not bother you about my questions with weasels anymore at this time. I am doing my own research about healing animals. I think I am making progress! My ferret ate too many squirrel hearts and had a tummy ache, but I cuddled him (very soft) and he got better, so I think I am on the top of something great.

  5. This time I have a question about a spell that has been worrying me for a long time since I heard about it. I know it is a very good thing that more people are able to hunt the undead, but I have heard many upsetting rumours about empathic abilities and necromancy. The spell is called Absolution, and I have heard that it dulls your empathic senses to allow you to hurt undead things, since they are not alive. Anyway, my question is: do you know anything about the spell besides what people says it does? I have sometimes got a bad memory and do not remember from my teaching how spells are made, or discovered, or both! Is the person who first used the spell okay? Is their head very well, and they are not gibbering? I tried to find out about it, but no one knows where it came from, just that the shop there in Shard began to sell the scrolls, and the shop keeper was unhelpful and did not want to say where they had come from.

  7. My fear is that because we do not know anything about who made this spell available to us, and the rest of the Empath guild is not very nice about letting us learn things that could be dangerous if we were very mean people--[There is a small, colourful picture of a squirrel throwing acorns at a Prydaen kit with googly eyes and large ears.] I am sorry about that. My daughter painted on my letter while I had a nap. I think it is very good, so I will keep writing on this paper.

  9. If we don't know who made the spell, then maybe the spell can do other things that we don't know? What if, one day, everyone who used the spell finds that it does not stop, and their empathic abilities are dulled forever? What if, one day, a part of the pattern that did not do anything begins to do something, and the empaths who use it are now weakened to a necromantic taint? Because I am not very learned in these things, it is a big worry for me, and I would like to also hunt the undead. As you know, the Prydaens' homeland is overrun and Tenemlor would be very pleased if I could do that. But I do not want to open myself up to have be taken advantage of by evil. Since I know you are both good at researching these things, if you could please reply and tell me if it is okay to use this spell? Unofficially, of course. I would not want you to get in trouble.

  11. P.S. Thank you very much for allowing Shifting, because my husband, who used to be my wife, is very happy now, and we have a family too, and I did not think I ever would have had that. Please don't share this with other guild leaders, I think they might get angry at me! Okay, this is the end of the letter now. I hope you have a very good day and no tummy aches from your fruits and vegetables that you eat in Ilithi. Signed, Nakori Dozypaws.
