  1. Working in WHSmith has help me develop alot of communication and has boosted my confidence when talking to strangers. From working at WHSmiths for just over a year now I have developed; communicational skills, ability to understand customer needs, ability to talk to different people and discipline. My main achievement at WHSmiths is helping customers with their needs and helping them find a particular product to suit their needs. I achieve this through my communication skills which I have developed as a result.

  3. I started at the arts centre in 2014 in hope of learning new skills and gaining some experience. When I first started I was new technical theatre in general and had only limited knowledge on all of the equipment. Now a year on from when I started I have assisted in the production of over 40 shows ranging from live music to talks to pantomimes. Ranging from small roles to big roles. I have gained skills in; followspot operations, lighting designing, lighting operation, rigging and live sound mixing. Some of the soft skills I have learnt are; communication and time keeping. My biggest achievement in the arts centre would have to be running a whole by myself when no other technicians could make it. I managed to run lighting by myself as well as fit a radio mic which I had never done and EQ the microphone. All lighting had to be re focused and I managed to setup production in under 2 hours. The arts centre has alot of events so I have learnt to deal with setting up with a time limit.
