  1. Q: Back to the basics. What is 100% in the first place?
  2. A: 14 Talismans, 64 Orbs, 10000 gems, defeat 3 bosses.
  3.
  4. Q: Should this be a separate category?
  5. A: No, it is a route change. Perhaps, if people don't want to do it, it can be a variable on the category on speedrun.com. This isn't something that can be banned as it doesn't break any rules or skip any requirements. By definition, 100% should be as LOOSE and UNRESTRICTED as possible. It is just any means necessary to complete the game 100%. Nothing should be restricted, especially if it's simply a route change.
  6.
  7. Q: What makes this faster?
  8. A: You get an extended Sparx range and all abilities. Also, you don't have to pay Moneybags anymore. The main timesave will be the Sparx range.
  9.
  10. Q: Don't you have to finish on Ripto?
  11. A: Technically, no. Defeating Ripto with 100% gives you nothing more than defeating Ripto with 1 talisman. There is no alternate ending, like most games like this would have. In Crash 3 105%, you have to fight Cortex with 105% because it triggers a second ending. If that weren't the case, Cortex would be much earlier in the route.
  12.
  13. Q: Is this the only game that wouldn't end on credits?
  14. A: No. Many games end upon 100% completion. For Spyro 2, it is defined as collecting 100% and defeating Ripto, but not in any particular order. Spyro: A Hero's Tail 100% used to end on collecting the last dragon egg or light gem (it still can!) but it just so happens to be faster to end on Mecha Red. In Banjo-Pilot 100%, timing ends upon buying the last thing from Cheato, which is essentially the shop in the game. It does not end on credits or a boss fight like Any% does. A Bug's Life (N64) ends upon completing the last of the 60 challenges. You need to 100% each of the main 15 levels to unlock the challenges, including the final level that rolls credits. You must sit through the credits before continuing to cleanup later.
