Answer: You make a unlimited water source.

There are TWO KINDS of unlimited water sources: 2x2x1 and 3x1x1

Chart: Assume that Q is Block space, P is Water bucket placement and U is Unlimited water.

2x2x1:

Which will make it unlimited at:

3x1x1:

Which will make it unlimited at:

What does the expert recommend? Do the 2x2x1 for easier water, and for compact size, use the 3x1x1!

MChowto says to use the bucket on the “U“ areas.
